Refund given

Since I wrote this review I was contacted by Candy Funhouse and they gave me a refund for the stale gum so I am updating the review and giving 5 stars for their customer service.

I bought 4 bags of Claeys hard candies and those are fine. However the Beemans and Teaberry gums were so stale and flavourless. Note that they are now made in Morocco and are nothing like the originals. I tried contacting Candy Funhouse but no response. Beware of vendors who do not have reviews on their own websites.

I placed an order for the first time

I placed an order for the first time. I received my products pretty quickly. My issue is I know one of the items had a best before date listed but the other items did not. They were Christmas gifts. And they expire before Christmas. I ordered a container of sour keys as they are my grandsons favorite. They were for Christmas but we decided to open them up earlier. They were hard and stale. I wrote to the company and after many attempts I finally heard from the company. They offered me a credit but if I want to use it I have to order 55.00 more for free shipping. I thought because I received stale product They could give me a credit. They will not credit me.

They made it right!

I had previously left a 1 star review as I had been sent a product that had gone bad. I was personally emailed by someone in management who made things right. That’s what you call good customer relations. I’m happy with the resolution they offered and will continue with my tradition of ordering our Christmas candy with this company!

Got my money's worth

Some of the candy was past the best before date as others have said, but the candy was all still very much edible. Granted, most of my order was hard candy, but I see why it would be an issue for baked goods or other products more susceptible to becoming stale/spoiled.

Australian products

Australian products - no good.
I purchased about 8 bags of allens lollies. All tasted quite old. Price is okay considering but every bag was not quality, expiry dates ranged from 1-5 months. Wouldn't buy Aussie goods again

Order unfulfilled and Poor Customer Support

I placed an order with Candy Funhouse on September 9, and the status still shows “Preparing.” Their website states that all orders are processed and shipped within 3–5 business days, yet it has been far longer with no update. I have emailed, submitted a message via the website, and called several times without receiving any response. I urgently need these items before next weekend, but there has been no indication of when they will ship. This lack of communication and failure to meet the advertised shipping timeline is extremely disappointing. I do not reccommend Candy Funhouse!!!

Update: I was finally able to reach a nice lady from customer service, who informed me that my order is scheduled to ship and should arrive by Thursday at the latest. I appreciate her assistance and will wait to see if the delivery is on time.

Update 2: I finally received my order today (Sept 17), and everything was well packed. I’m happy it arrived in good condition.

Horrible response.

I ordered five candy bars in a mint flavor and received four that weren’t mint but white chocolate. I contacted them and got the rude reply that I must’ve made the error. I CAN count to five! I also know what I ordered! Their offer after multiple emails — they will refund me for the fifth bar I never received. I feel cheated and ripped off.

Good customer service

When I did not receive my candy bars when scheduled, I contacted Candy Funhouse...I spoke with "Lata" and she contacted Canada Post for me...when I did receive my parcel I let her know and she followed up with a personal telephone call to me...I was impressed with both the bars and Lata's customer service.

Best place for treats of all kinds

I love shopping online at candy funhouse and usually buy too much :)
Everything from snacks to chocolate to retro candy is great. I am never disappointed. I have only had one issue with an order and they resolved it quickly and I remain the happiest of customers.

Disappointing Experience – Wouldn't Recommend

I placed an order on June 11th, expecting a smooth and timely delivery. It didn’t even ship until the 14th, and the last tracking update was on the 16th. Since then? Nothing. The tracking still claims the package is “expected” to arrive on June 23rd — which is now over a week ago — yet it hasn’t been updated in more than two weeks.

I contacted customer service a full week after ordering and finally got a response almost a week later. Instead of taking any accountability, they gave a vague excuse and said it should arrive by the end of the week of June 27th. Spoiler: it didn’t.

Even worse, it now feels like the company doesn’t even have a customer service team. I’ve sent 2–3 messages since June 25th and haven’t received a single reply. Total silence.

At this point, I’m left with no candy, no updates, and no real way to get help. If you're thinking of placing an order with Candy Funhouse — don’t. Based on my experience, it should really be called Candy Frustrationhouse. Save your money and your sanity.

Edit: About six hours after posting this review, the package finally arrived — and honestly, I wish it hadn’t. The candy was completely melted and all mushed together from the heat. It had a terrible smell and tasted even worse. Still would not recommend using this website to buy candy from. Money not well spent.

Sold stale cookies 5 months past the…

Sold stale cookies 5 months past the date of expiration and tried to then pass it off as acceptable when contacting customer service. Refused to give a refund instead wanted to give a meaningless store credit when their shipping is so much that it would nullify the credit.

very poor customer service

very poor customer service. very hard to get in touch with anyone. will not take responsibility for there mistakes and will blame " POTENTIAL" Canada Post strikes as a reason order was not picked in time.
once order was finally picked and given to shipping company after the guarenteed five days it did arrive quite quickly

I ordered a product based on the…product not as pictured

I ordered a product based on the picture. When it came it was not as pictured when I complained they said they did not carry that product. I sent them a photo of product on their website, then they said that was not what I ordered. Poor customer service will look elsewhere for my candy needs.

The customer service was excellent! Very quick to respond to my emails. Also, put in a request to have my items ship quickly to meet my deadline. Would definitely recommend shopping at Candy Funhouse!!

The quality!

OMG
My first order with Candy Funhouse.
All of my orders were delivered within a few days of ordering! Astonishing.
Also, my chocolate bars were kept cool with cold gel packs to prevent melting.
Thank you for that added touch.
All in all I'm in candy heaven.
