Good 1st Experience with Cancelon

This was my first time using Cancelon, and was a bit hesitant. I called to get our confirmation number 2 days before our check-in date because 24 hours prior was Christmas Day, and i wasn't sure if we would be able to contact anyone. The gentleman I spoke with provided me with the confirmation number at the hotel, and I was then able to confirm details with the hotel as well. Everything went exactly as planned. The deal that we got for the hotel room was great! I'll definitely look at this site in the future when planning trips!

Completely crap

Completely crap, useless service when you try to post the hotel booking you want to sell. First the website kept freezing for 2 days. When we finally managed to send through the post which supposedly takes 12 hours to verify (really? in this day and age?) they were still "verifying" it 24 hours later. Which might be acceptable if your hotel booking is for next year but not when it's for 2 days ahead. They have a "helpful" chat which I'm guessing is robots because they just kept saying "they're working on the issue" and that they will "update me" but nothing actually moves forward. Truly dissappointing. Great idea, just wish there would something besides just an idea and that it would actually work. Quickly. If you can publish a post on Airbnb in 2 seconds it really should not take 3 days (or even longer, not sure if our post will ever be published) to post something like a simple hotel booking, c'mon guys, seriously, this is beyond ridiculous and a complete waste of everyone's time.

They do not inform about additional fees like other reservation sites, so the good deal I thought I was getting was actually more expensive than other sites.

I am a loyal Trip Advisor customer - Cancelon is a scam

I am a loyal Trip Advisor customer, but the fact that they are still using Cancelon as a booking agent on their site is really confusing. Just take a look at the bad reviews on here.

I booked a room at a Four Seasons in Beijing. When I realized that others were doubting it was a real reservation I began to question it. Cancelon could not verify that I had a room reserved, and reading the fine print made me realize I was not guaranteed a room in the hotel, and Beijing was not somewhere I wanted toend up walking the streets.

In the end I cancelled it and made another reservation through a legitimate operator. Why Trip Advisor allows this company to book for them I still don't understand.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had thy took $5,500 of my money never even booked my room and 12 hours after booking thy called and told me thy gave me a refund and I got to my room and couldn’t check in because it was never booked and then my credit card was maxed out because thy took all the money and I could not even get a room it was the most worst thing anyone can ever experience Expedia will always be the best please don’t use this company

Never again!

I booked 2 nights in Las Vegas with Cancelon and received the voucher for the purchase, I tried to find the booking number or any confirmation from the hotel and couldn’t find it so I decided to call Cancelon and get my booking number directly from customer service, they said they were working on my reservation (I realized they screwed it up at that moment) and asked the guy if I indeed had a hotel for those nights, his response was: “don’t worry you’ll get a response shortly from our team”, we hung up and I received an email with a “refund” that still hasn’t showed up in my credit card, now I had to pay to a decent booking company to accommodate my family with increased rates and still have the credit on hold from Cancelon

The booking was NOT what it seemed — beware

I booked a hotel in New York and on the reservation it said “Queen Queen.” I travel quite a bit and had never seen this before so I called to verify that it was indeed to 2 Queen beds and it was. When I arrive in New York I find that we only have 1 king bed for 4 people. Cancelons customer support was useless when I tried to call to get help to resolve the issue. We had to pay for a second room which was not in our budget and put a huge damper to the start of our trip. We definitely got scammed and I will never use this site again.

Complete Scam!!

Last evening, I booked 3 nights (Dec 28-31) in a Junior Suite Diamond Club room at the Royalton Hotel.

When I booked the hotel through Cancelon, I selected “1 Bedroom Club Junior Suite” for 2 guests, for a total of $1,420.00. However, when I received the confirmation voucher, Cancelon screwed up the booking and noted only 1 guest. I immediately called the Cancelon support line and was told that despite it being their mistake nothing could be done and I will have to pay an additional fee at the hotel for a 2nd guest.

This is beyond ridiculous, as the fee I paid though Cancelon is representative of what I would have paid for 2 people had I originally booked directly through the hotel. For example, for 1 guest in the same room type directly through the hotel the fee is $968.10, significantly less than the $1420.00 I paid through Cancelon. The only reason I paid $1420.00 is because I selected 2 guests!

Cancelon completely ripped me off, and this is nothing short of an illegal scam. I plan to pursue this matter until resolution. As of now Cancelon has offered no solution. I would stay away from this website at all cost!!!

is the worst hotel searching site

is the worst hotel searching site. The thought of finding a rare pearl was a disappointment after another. I first booked two super priced rooms. Less than 24 hours received an email that one of the rooms is not available. I call for information and get the answer that someone booked before one of the two rooms. I agree because the price is attractive. And I find another room in another hotel next door so it won't be so inconvenient. I am happy and organizing everything. i get an email from paypal i'm getting a chargeback from cancelon.com i call and they said they couldn't certify the purchase. I would have to use a credit card, I will try to book again and hotel is no longer available.
I make sure that site is unreliable.
Now i have a lot money in the middle of the transition because will take more than 3 days to get back in my bank account how can i book other hotel etc....

Booked a hotel in Washington DC

Booked a hotel in Washington DC, cancelon website did not have clear information on parking. It indicated onsite parking, but hotel website was very clear and had indicated paid parking. Cancelon won't cancel my reservation. Also these guys charge HEFTY fees, stay away. You will get better price and clear information with other vendors. I am disputing this transaction with my bank. This is total ripoff and misinformation and cheating.

I was VERY pleased with Cancelon

I was VERY pleased with Cancelon. I read all the fine print/conditions and booked a room. I changed the dates the next day and cancelled and a refund was processed promptly. I booked new dates. I was so worried about hotel adding "resort" or other hidden fees and Cancelon called the hotel and checked and emailed me back as proof. Cancelon phone customer service folks were so patient and helpful with all my concerns and questions. I made sure I stayed within published rules and it turned out fabulous. I can not believe I got to stay at such a nice hotel for Super Cheap thanks to Cancelon. We got a high floor room with great view. I was afraid at such a cheap rate, we would end up in basement lol. So I will use Cancelon again!

I have booked a 4 star hotel with them…

I have booked a 4 star hotel with them but after taking payment they sent me email confirmation for different 2.5 star hotel on same road which 2.5 hotel name I have not even seen it online for myself.
I straight away email them to cancel my booking.
Will not even go on their website again.

I had booked a hotel through CANCELON

I had booked a hotel through CANCELON, I was able to find the same hotel, the same date just $200 less in price and that is because Cancelon charges a hefty fee when you book the hotel. I canceled my reservation immediately, however, I was charged $98. I called customer service 1-855-226-2359, they told me that is the cancelation price regardless of when it was canceled. I believe this is a complete rip-off, no one should book any hotels through them. Find other sites that are more forgiving a spacially when you found a better deal elsewhere with in the same time frame.

I booked a room with cancelon and on…

I booked a room with cancelon and on the website it clearly stated FREE cancellation before a certain date. I quickly realized they charged me 243.00 more than I could book the room directly through the hotel. When I cancelled the booking they said would be charging me 84.00 for a processing fee??? I contacted the company and they were kind enough to refund the processing fee. Thank you Antonio for the help and I will consider Cancelon in the future for my travel plans

Misleading at Best

I purchased a 1 BR Suite, 2 Double Beds and the hotel only confirmed a deluxe studio suite with two beds. I spoke today with support who said it was a "business strategy" to label the same rooms with different names. He is trying to get me in the correct room but might not be possible due to availability. Will upgrade this score if it ends up working out.

Cancelon is Canceled

Horrible experience. Booked a hotel room with Cancelon and 8 hours later received an email saying the hotel was booked by someone else and I would be refunded. Zero email responses to my inquiries to what happened later, I find my credit card was charged twice by cancelon for the room I was supposed to be refunded from. Still waiting for a response from the website, I’ve sent four emails, one online response and have been on hold for an hour+ twice. Horrid service.

Worst hotel booking and custom service ever

I booked online and was charged with certain amount of service fee in addition to the basic room fee which they advertised on the website. I chose them because I saw they offer better price than other websites. However, after the service fee, it is even more expensive than other websites. Be careful, and review your reservation before making the payment. They put "taxes and fee" as one item, so you may assume you are only charged with tax. Worst hotel booking and custom service ever.

Avoid this website at all costs

Booked a room for New Years through Cancelon. They incorrectly charged me twice for the same room at the time of booking. 24 hours after booking, they emailed me to tell me they can’t honor the rate supposedly because another customer booked the room at the exact same time. Per their policy, they will refund my money within two weeks, but they can’t help with the room.

This website stinks of false advertising.
