I would give them zero stars if I could. They refused to refund my money after my trip was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Legitimate booking companies value their customers; Cancelon does not. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM.

Cancelon Is Full Of Manure!!!!! The only good thing that they done for me was to actually reserve my room to a legitimate hotel chain. When I tried to get a refund, I couldn't find my information on Cancelon, so I called the hotel to see if I could get my refund through them. Of course I was told that I have to get it back through Cancelon but there is no way to do so because they really don't exist. Please pray for me as I go to this hotel anyways so that I don't lose out on my money due to this evil virus that has stricken our world.

I booked a hotel through Cancelon.. only to arrive and the hotel isn’t even open it is for refurbishment. The hotel manager had never heard of Cancelon and shouldn’t be selling rooms that aren’t even real!!!! Fake company!!!! Never using TRIVAGO or this website again... pointless even trying for a refund as no answer!!!!

I WILL NEVER USE CANCELON AGAIN! Once burned, shame on them, twice burned, shame on me. I will not be back for a second burning. I searched for a room using Trivago and ended up making a reservation through Cancelon because it was the last one available in a small town near Death Valley. Then came the Coronavirus and we were advised to stay home. We tried to sell our reservation through Cancelon. After our listing had supposedly been posted for several days the only way we could find it on-line was to go to the Cancelon website. We searched for it on Booking.com, Hotel.com, Trivago, Expedia, Priceline, Travelocity, etc., but could never bring up our listing. I tried to call them to see why our room wasn't posted anywhere but finally gave up because no one ever answered the phone.

Please, NO, go to a reputable company; pay a few dollars more for options. Opportunists, at best, even during these difficult times. I needed to cancel, due to coronavirus, and telephoned multiple times (waited endlessly and finally gave up); left a “call-back” number and a detailed email without ANY response; nothing. Facts are that I made a reservation for two, myself and a friend. My friend, who has cancer, is currently undergoing chemo therapy and has a markedly compromised immune system. In this current environment I feel it is unconscionable for cancelon to maintain such rigidity. Extremely poor customer service; extremely poor community support and social awareness.

Despite the name, you cannot cancel any reservations. They do not reply to email. They do not answer the phone. Their "selling your reservation" gimmick as far as I can tell is a complete scam. I tried 4 times to list my reservation for sale to no avail.
Don't be fooled by their low prices.

WARNING!!!! Worst company I have EVER dealt with. Customer service doesn't exist. My card has been charged, hotel has not been paid and I am told I will be charged AGAIN by my hotel. They have never sent a confirmation email, they finally responded to emails written days prior only to give some automated BS . DO NOT BOOK THROUGH CANCELON!

Very disappointed in this company. I booked a hotel on kayak and without realizing booked through Cancelon. I immediately tried to call after realizing my mistake. I was on hold for over 2 hours. I finally connected with someone on their live chat. I was told they would need to contact the hotel to see if they could issue me a refund. The customer service rep told me they could only refund 85% of my reservation. I called the Hotel and they were charging NOTHING to cancel our reservation. Nothing. I've never been so disappointed in a company. I will never use Cancelon again.

Plans canceled due to coronavirus. I’ve emailed several times and tried to call with waiting on hold forever with no one ever picking up, no answer to my emails. Could not use my reservation and no answer as to any refund, partial refund, or even a credit to use with them in the future. Called hotel and they said there was nothing they could do as I booked through a third party. I feel this is extenuating circumstances and allowances should be made. I will never use this site or go to that hotel again. I’m a single mom that saved up money to give my child a spring break vacation that was canceled, yet money still spent! Corporations with lots of money taking advantage in times like this is disgusting.

Absolutely disgraceful, heartless company
Absolutely disgraceful company. They are profiting off of a national pandemic and not refunding money back for anything. My girlfriend and I bought through this company for a trip to NY this coming weekend for an event but obviously due to the virus, the event was cancelled. My girlfriend is also a nurse who is now working extra hours because of the pandemic and not able to go anywhere because she has to help those in need. This pathetic company would not refund the money for the hotel even when the hotel manager himself said they would refund it. They do not care about anyones health, they do not care about the virus which is killing thousands and they do not care about anyone in general. They only care about money and capitalizing off of a national pandemic. I will advise anyone to NEVER use this poor excuse for a company ever again. I have never been more disgusted with anything or anyone.

Total Scam
I booked a room in Scottsdale through Trivago that then provided an option for Cancelon. I chose this site and booked a three night stay. I then needed to cancel due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. I was clearly within the window to do so. I followed up by phone twice; waiting 40 minutes and 20 minutes for customer service to answer and they never did. I followed up with their online customer service that never got back to me at all after multiple attempts. I lost $818. This is obviously a scam enterprise taking advantage of people during a global health crisis.

I was assured it would have been resolved prior to my trip but I had to cancel before I could find out. I was satisfied with the customer support via email though.
