Very good product.

I don’t know if all their products work but I have the descaler which is plugged into the mains and then wires are wrapped around the hot water pipe which comes from the combo boiler. It is fantastic. There is no scale in the shower or kettle any more.

Life time warranty only 7yrs apparently

Life time warranty product failed and poor customer service advised last 7yrs.

Very unprofessional approach and certainly not customer centric.

Steer clear of this company.

Reporting to trading standards as well.

Company doesn't take responsibility for its goods

I purchased a water softener in july 2024.We had it installed by a professional plumber. we went away on holiday with the unit plumbed in but off.Came home to a flood. I contacted toolstation they offered a refund but as it was plumbed in I wanted to know if it was a fault. The plumber returned and followed the instructions of the calmag service team. Unfortunately this lead to more floods flooring was ruined and three returns form our plumber. I eventually had the unit removed and returned it to toolstation for a replacement. The unit had a address on it and I asked if it was returned they said it wasn't and was nothing wrong with the unit. The plumber arrived to plumb it in but unfortunately there were missing parts, the plumber returned the unit to toolstation and we then ordered a new one. Unit number three, Toolstation advised to contact clameg for the damage to the flooring so I did. Two months later after me chasing them I have been informed the unit was damaged by me dropping it form a height with force as it couldn't be their fault or any of their workers! You can imagine my response! I would not install anything if I dropped it with force from a height let alone if it stores water? I would not recommend this company as they have no customer loyalty and blamed me all the while I was emailing about the fault. I have not been unreasonable I have only asked for the cost of my hallway flooring and the cost of the plumber having to return four times. I am disgusted with the response from calmeg and would advise to go to a different company for a water softener.

Calmag Leak Sealer

Having a small radiator leak and not being able to get a new radiator fitted straightaway my husband purchased Calmag 500ml Concentrate Leak Sealer. He was told by the retailer how to use it (because there weren't any instructions on the bottle) and did everything in the correct manor. When this didn't work, I contacted Calmag who simply weren't interested and refused to authorise a refund.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT OR THIS COMPANY

No evidence that scale inhibitor works

I purchased the Caltronic limescale inhibitor, albeit with a degree of skepticism that such a 'non-contact' solution could have any effect.
Sadly, I was right to be skeptical. I fitted the unit as recommended, and monitored the limescale build up in various places (e.g. tap heads) for periods with the device powered up and for periods with it not powered up.
There was no discernible difference in the rate of limescale build up.

Don't make my mistake. "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't true"
