Fantastic Birthday Experience at Calico Restaurant in Maidstone
We visited Calico Restaurant in Larkfield as a group of seven, ranging from 21 to 81 years old, to celebrate my daughter’s 25th birthday — and it was nothing short of wonderful.
The décor is absolutely lovely: warm, stylish, and welcoming, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed celebration. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable and looked after.
From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make the afternoon feel special. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in ensuring my daughter had a memorable birthday. Their kindness and enthusiasm added such a personal touch, and it really made the celebration feel elevated.
The food was absolutely delicious — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly cooked fresh. Yes, it took a little while to come out, but that only proved the care and quality that goes into every dish. It was well worth the wait, and every plate was enjoyed by all ages at the table.
Nothing felt rushed, and the staff checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find a restaurant that balances great food, genuine hospitality, and a lovely environment so effortlessly. We all left saying the same thing: we’ve found a gem.
We honestly couldn’t recommend Calico highly enough. It was a fantastic afternoon, and we’re already talking about returning. Thank you to the whole team for making my daughter’s birthday so special — you were amazing.
