Who on earth can forgive a gas company that forgets to reconnect a whole row of houses. Disconnected very early on a Saturday morning and then everyone goes home and leaves 5 households with no gas. Elderly, disabled people. Outrageous behaviour. Totally Unforgivable. No I am not happy.

If you understand little about gas pipes or meters, but would like all things done only once with little hassle, these are your experts. Ben, the boss, was there always for my concerns and patient with my sometimes silly questions. Teams were superb, professional and did far beyond what was expected, and got the job done. I am ever so pleased. Happy to recommend.

It was early morning when my Carbon monoxide alarm was pipping i rang and within 20 minutes the Cadent engineer was here. He was a great guy. Very thorough and reassuring. And I can t praise the service enough. Thank.you

Had superb service from Pat Sutcliffe and Liam today in Chesterfield. Pat arrived within an hour of the call. He was so incredibly thorough he checked the neighbouring houses as well as mine to locate the leaks. I am very impressed by this organisation.

If this review was for constantly causing chaos and misery with temporary traffic lights to motorists trying to get anywhere on the roads this would definitely be a 5 star review, they truly are the masters at that. They excel at digging a small hole the leaving it with no work taking place for weeks on end stoping people getting anywhere. They also love to do this in several places all in the same small area at the same time so no matter which way you go to get around it they still manage to catch you. Well done Cadent, you should be very proud of yourselves
Also, please don't bother giving me the same generic cut and paste 'we'd like more information to investigate this' response like you have given every other reviwer saying you cause chaos on the roads, how about you actually listen to all the people saying this and actually act on it. Yes, we appreciate work needs to be done but anything Cadent is involved in is a million times worse than it needs to be...also, how about you actually finish the work on time..just once!

Shocking Cadent thinks it can bury a gas service pipe at any depth they like and then when it gets damaged charge you to repair it Who thinks a depth of 170mm is safe and reasonable as some 220m less in depth than the HSE recommended guidelines that gas service pipes, on private land, should be at 375mm

They came out really quickly and we're soon able to reassure me there was no gas leak.. of course I felt silly, but he reassured me that they would be happier coming out to these visits than there being a real gas leak..

Absolutely dreaded having our gas pipes replaced in our little cul-de-sac.....but there was no need. All the Gas workers were absolutely great! We knew exactly what was happening and when and they could not have been more pleasant, helpful or accommodating.
A really horrible inconvenient job was made so much easier by the chaps who worked so hard in our little road. Thank you

I could smell gas at my front door so rang Cadent. They came out within the hour. The engineer, Basil, was very informative about what was going on and what was going to happen. Myself and my 10 year old were both reassured and calmed by him.
He ensured the leak was stopped and helped make the next steps happen.

I have worked for a housing association for 19 years and have regularly reported leaks for our customers, but never seen the organisation from their side. I had a leak from my external gas meter which was attended to well within the hour advised and then without any fuss and 2nd crew arrived to carry out the repair. I am so impressed with the speed this was attended to and the excellent customer service given by the operatives. Thank you so much. You are all a credit to your organisation

Following my report of a smell of gas, the engineer came promptly and quickly identified the source of the leak.
He replaced the faulty main isolation valve on the meter with a new updated one.
He tested for other possible leaks.
The engineer was polite, friendly and competent.
There was no charge for this service.

Engineer arrived on time, did a very thorough check all around the house , kitchen, boiler. Meter. Detected very minor leaks around boiler and worked very hard to seal them. It took several attempts and he finished the job. Excellent thorough professional service !! Highly recommend!

After having my boiler serviced the engineer from Bosch raised concerns about the gas meter location.
He contacted Cadent.
They responded within an hour and said everything was ok but did change the gas shut of valve.
Not turning off in the right position.
Cadent engineer very polite and professional and explained everything to us.

Lovely experience. Called the National Gas line with a suspected gas leak. All instructions and guidance were very clear and in the interest of looking after those in the home (pets included!). From the first call, everyone was kind, proactive and provided top notch service. The engineer showed up within an hour, and was able to quickly identify and solve the leak which was indeed there. He explained everything clearly and spent the time to make sure I was aware of what he was doing. All the while he was considerate of keeping the space clean, getting the job done quickly and our safety. For an experience that could have been traumatizing, this was wonderful attention to care and customers. Thank you Cadent Gas!

I called Cadent Gas Services as I could smell gas in my house after being away for a few days. The call handler gave me all the advise; like opening doors and windows and not turning lights on etc to keep us safe.
They promptly sent out their engineers who identified a gas leak under my floor, the pipes serviced a fire and cooker, both no longer in use and pipes had been capped. To my relief, they were able stop the gas going into the old, disused pipes by capping at source and inserting new pipe to the boiler. I had visions of 2 of my floors being dug up!
Fortunately, they also found 2 leaks in a pipe under my boiler, they didn't have the correct pipe to fix this, but this is covered under my boiler servicing. They advised me to leave the gas switched off and ring my gas supplier, who came the next morning and all was resolved.
I am very grateful to both engineers, they were very professional, friendly,and helpful, communicating at every stage which I found very helpful at a stressful time. Thank you.

The engineer Matt arrived just over half an hour after I reported smelling gas in my house which i was relieved about as i thought it would be a couple of hours before anyone turned up. He was friendly, thorough and told me what he was doing every step of the way. He found out the problem straight away which turned out to be from next door so he checked that house too. He didn't leave until he was happy that everything was sorted and no gas was leaking. I was very relieved and felt safe.
