Communication is complicated. I filed a report for a parcel that arrived damaged but never got a response. If I file it again now, they will say I am too late :-(

Buyee is vastly overcharging me for US Customs Duties, over 50% for used fishing reels and used fly reels! Their customer service will not correct this massive overcharging! Blaming their computer system estimate system. If you are in the United States, DO NOT USE BUYEE!!!
Overcharges are $170 on one shipment, $223 overcharges on another, $57 on the last!
Total $450 in overcharges! Buyer beware,

This was my first time using Buyee to buy collector cards from Japan and I must say, that I highly recommend this service. It was fast, let me consolidate the order into one package and the packaging was really great. Delivery was fast and basically overall it was great experience. I can only recommend this site and THANK YOU!

It's a great 3rd party service since I can't use yahoo Japan auction for not having a Japan bank but there was an issue with one item, the seller shipped the wrong item and it was not communicated that there was a long delay with sending the incorrect item back and receiving the correct item. Communication could be improved

Buyee official "Prohibited Items" help page specifically did not list "RC Shock Absorbers" and completely omits "Toy/Radio Control Dampers," you have failed to provide clear, actionable terms of service

Misleading Terms: If the auction house advertised a "safe, fully vetted, or compliant" inventory list, but left out a restricted class of dampers, they made a material omission.

Buyee are clearly in the wrong in which you have deceived the consumers.

The repetitive denials in your responses are creating an unhelpful and stressful interaction.

The service delivery is superb and very affective.Packaging was according my expectations and deliver time to my door to South Africa within 5 days is excellent.Looking forward to do more business on the platform.

Shipping methods are way to expensive and only 1 or two choices at most everytime. Is a no brainer to make it optional to resize a package because most of the time sellers will use a box that is to big making it way to expensive to ship. I don't care about whatever rules you have in place, not making this an option will destroy Buyee FOR SURE!

I've bought from them many times and have always had a fantastic experience. They buy your items for you almost immediately after you pay, everything is always very carefully packed for shipping and my packages have always arrived safely and quickly.

Buyee is a proxy purchasing service available across most of Japan. While the service is acceptable, the cost-to-value is relatively low.

Buyee offers a decent customer service. The replies take only a day or two to have an issue addressed with a shipment. The price confirmations for goods are swift and mostly accurate from my experience.

Buyee doesn't offer great prices. The service charge is considerably high, and occasionally charges individual items with fees depending on the nature of the item to cover for insurance.

After purchase of goods, the consolidation is not standard, but conditional and needs to be paid in advance. The packaging is subpar, it only gets the job done, but will not withstand rough treatment during deliveries. Other similar proxy services are far superior in this regard, offering free basic consolidation.

As the platform that partners often with major Japanese retail platforms, it stems as the high-cost, low-value proxy service for buying goods. At the basic level, it functions perfectly, it simply isn't a good deal.

I have recently started Buyee and have bought a number of items from Australia. Process has been very easy and when I have opted for additional wrapping option my items have arrived well packaged and undamaged

To summarise my experience, Buyee made a mistake in weighing the parcel causing the parcel returned to their warehouse and refuse to acknowledge their mistake. Instead of rectifying , they invoiced me with another courier fee. Revised invoice did not provide the breakdown of cost, Buyee should at least show the amount offset from my earlier payment and differences to be top up separately. After much discussion with the customer service, the team have not provided a good reply and solution for the duplicate cost. This just shows their incompetency, irresponsible, lazy and dishonesty. I hope this short post about my experience will bring some awareness to other buyers.

My first time buying here. A bit blur but take time to read the terms and conditions.

A useful and affordable proxy service with reasonable handling/shipping fees when things go right, however many of the additional services cost extra and the shipping costs can be a gamble depending on the item size/weight since the calculator can wildly underestimate the final cost. The packaging depends on the original seller so therefore you have to hope that it was done well enough to survive international shipping.

Unfortunately, the expensive figure that I ordered arrived damaged. Since I had paid for the standard plan, I immediately took photos and requested a refund via email and was relieved when Buyee accepted it. That said, they did state that it was an exception since their "insurance plan" has a list of scenarios that it doesn't cover as mentioned by other reviewers. To conclude, I do appreciate that Buyee honoured their insurance policy this time, but I feel that their insurance conditions are misleading, and the refund might've been accepted to avoid an escalation with my bank.

The estimation for the shipping fee is not accurate at all. On one of my packages, the estimation was 9836 yen, and the actual fee was 16,000. I am never using this again if the shipping is going to be so outrageously expensive compared to what I expect it to be.

Edit: In response to Buyee, I double checked with the dimensions and weight that you used and got the same results with the shipping fee estimation. I also used ECMS for both the estimation and actual shipment.

Always a fantastic service and never had any issues
