Very powerful

Very good platform for buying and selling, with adequate security and sufficient guarantees for buyers and sellers. Practical chatroom, seriously monitored. Some aspects could be improved though. The automatic translation is often very poor, and the communications about transport are often confusing (packing material? item sold? transport to buyer? or seller?). DHL is not very predictable, and not accurate or helpful as far as date of delivery is concerned.

I recommend you read the reviews first. I bought a bike. The packaging sent to the seller was inadequate. Subsequently the derailure got damaged during shipping and a claim was submitted. Buycycle did not want to know. They expected me to sort it out with the seller when it was clearly an issue with shipping. Do not recommend using them.
Process is complete and may rating has not changed. Bike shop evaluated the bike, bent derailure hanger and the "bike mechanic" at buycycle advised to just have it bent back into alignment. Minor adjustments I understand and there are tools in place for this but not significant corrections. Cable broke and disc bent and these were not covered.
What I learnt from this:

A) Inadequate packaging provided by buycycle

B) Inadequate instructions given to seller on how to pack the bike - derailure should be disconnected and wrapped

C) Buycycle are very slow to respond initially with instructions on what to do about the damage so you are left wondering. Best think to do is go straight to a bike shop and get it assesed and report generated. You actually need to do this within 48hrs of receiving the bike as whatever you put in there as damaged and cost estimate is what they stick with, so if the bike shop find something else wrong that is not listed - good luck.

The concept is great - deliver and customer service is poor. Their trained bike mechanic that wanted the derailure hanger bent back to straight from 30 degrees off (Zach) needs to re-evaluate his recommendations.

It seems its impossible to send the packaging material, i cant change the dat on nothing the parameters are shit, it takes ages to get a reaction. Also it seems like they couldn't be bothered to send another one eventhough they said they would. Never ever ever sale here its a bad company

I've bought several bikes through Buycycle and everything has run smoothly in my experience, so buy with confidence, if there is a problem you can return your item.
The seller doesn't get paid till your happy with your purchase.
Buycycle hold on to the funds until you confirm that your happy with the goods
Shipping sometimes can be a bit slow due to shipping packaging to the seller and then shipping from the seller, but in my experience it's definitely worth the wait

TLDR: bike was damaged in shipping and its condition didn't match listing; thru their buyer protection program, Buycycle gave me $60 to take care of an estimated $400+ in repair cost.

I ordered a $220 dollar used bike in "good" condition from Buycycle. The box and bike arrived damaged—the seller had not packaged the bike according to Buycycle's instructions. Thus the bike did not match the listing description. The derailleur and derailleur hanger were broken/bent. A part of the saddle had torn and was loose and flapping; one of the pedals had broken. The bike had significant rust on gears and chain, there was corrosion on the wheels; the brake pads rubbed. I took the bike into a shop and they said repairs would be >$400 for labor and parts, thus they suggested I just buy a new bike of the same model ($500) because they said even with repairs the bike would be in rough shape.
I filed a buyer protection claim with buycycle, showing them the condition of the box and bike and after multiple rounds of emailing, they agreed to pay me $60, saying they thought the repair shop overquoted me in order to get me to buy a bike. I looked at another bike shop's site and the repair cost seemed to be around $315+.

I went to read Buycycle's buyer protection page. Even factoring in all the exceptions that their buyer protection policy has in it, according to their formula, I should have still gotten at least $105+ in reimbursements.

Easy transactions, buyer protection, and professional shipping. It feels better buying here as opposed to other alternatives since the site specializes in cycling and fitness.

The sale of my bicycle happened very quickly, for the recommend price that Buycycle indicated (that was very helpful). But then the required box for sending the bike did not arrive on time, which meant postponing the delivery. When the box finally arrived and the bike was safely packed with the provided shipping label in place, UPS refused to take the box because the tracking code was missing on the label (tip: for a UPS delivery the track and trace number on the label should start with 1Z). So, now there's still a big box standing in our living room, the buyer has already paid buycycle and has been waiting for a month by now, and nothing is resolved yet. It is an intensely stressful experience.
Update: Bycycle contacted me with a new shipping label and the bike has been picked up, according to plan. The Buycycle customer service has been supporting me from this moment onwards and helped this proces come to a good end. The buyer is very happy with the bike and I have just been paid. So a positive end to a bumpy road.

Delivery should be faster.
I was waiting for pick up of the bike for 2 weeks.
I received email notice ant it was good.
Payment is securited.
Communication is good.
Full service is perfect for bike buyer.
Maybe shipping cost is to high.

It's easy to set up the sale. It's so easy to talk with the potential buyers. Once the bike is sold, the tracking is smooth and quick. Payment is secure and fast. Really, nothing to say.

I thought the entire process worked very well. It was easy to create the ad, buycycle made it easy to communicate with potential buyers, and the delivery and payment process was quick and easy. I was a little miffed that I could not find a phone number for customer service, but all my issues and questions were handled quickly online.

Despite my nervousness about buying a bike from overseas, I have to say that buycycle's management of the whole process was pretty impeccable. The ability to chat back and forth with the seller enabled me to feel adequately informed about the bike and to gain necesssary trust in the seller. Thanks much!

Great platform, allowing easy filtering and overall experience while looking for a new bike/wheels. And the protection has saved me, while there was some undisclosed paint damage on the bike I have got. The delivery was quick.
