I submitted a quarterly claim which got rejected. There was very little in the description for me to correct it so I emailed to get a better understanding. I had a response within 24hrs, they explained the issue but also said they had corrected things and approved. I have been with BUPA for 2yrs now and service is exemplary. World class organization. The only improvement i would suggest is if you have to reject a claim there is more explanation so the patient can fix it or understand why. This potentially would reduce your workload. Great job BUPA

It is a great company to have ur insurance with. All the claims are settled timely and have hardly any claim rejected in past 4 years. Bupa takes your feedback quite seriously and works on improving customer experience.

They will find all the excuses on this planet ever not to pay you. I have a Bupa Premier insurance and had 2 claims. 1 for a muscle inflammation (due to a stationary bike) and 1 ear pain. Both were minor and solved fast, so nothing serious.
Now for the claims process:
They ask you everything in the form, absolutely everything and at the end you have to upload the medical report and the receipt/bill. This is easy and straight forward.
Now after 7 days you get an email from a Risk department asking, guess what...EXACTLY the same thing that you have already provided when you open the claim.
The first claim took about 2 weeks with back and forth and complaints about this process.
Second claim they replied again after 11 days and the whole claim took about 1 month, again back and forth and complaints.
They already see what you wrote in the claim so they are doing this on purpose just to delay your claims and eventually for you to let go of asking for your money I guess.
Complaints are literally useless since nobody does anything so that is that.
I did this insurance for severe cases but I wanted to test them out with small claims to see how it goes.
I am done with them and so happy that I didn't had severe problems to wait for my money.
Even though they paid both claims their process is literally a joke and nobody cares about you.

Application is very easy to use, both for obtaining a pre-approval and for submitting claims.
Easy to access medics and treatment facilities outside the recommended pool.
Fast reimbursement.
The only negative point I see is reimbursement not possible in RON.
