Ordered 2 sets- £88 in April. Didn’t arrive. Company said couriers had delivered. No refund, no replacement and now no correspondence! Wouldn’t take a chance on making an order. Kits are nice but awful customer service!

First of all; thanks for your review. BuilDIY.uk has been 'on hold' for a while now, so that's why we've only just stumbled upon this review of yours. Sorry for the late response.
We have always answered your e-mails in a nice matter - as people would and should expect from us. Back in April, UPS has indicated that they have delivered your package correctly. We then asked UPS for and received a proof of delivery, so that's all we could do from our side to determine whether or not delivery had actually been completed. That's what we informed you about back at the time as well.
We cannot issue a refund when UPS indicates they have delivered the package and even provides 'proof of delivery'.
We noticed you requested a chargeback through your credit card company and they eventually provided you a refund. Even though we have all the proof of delivery, you did get your refund. Even though we do not agree with your credit card company's decision, we believe this eventually closes the case.
Nonetheless: have a great day!

A great introduction to models.
My little zeppelin came well packaged and the instructions were easy to follow. I managed to get it done in a single evening and without any fancy tools or glue. As someone who doesn't have a lot of experience building models I was surprised how easy they made it.
The pieces are quite thin but there are duplicates of some of them incase one breaks (I managed not to break any). It looks a lot more complex than it is and it's very satisfying seeing it all come together.
10/10 would recommend. Can't wait to get another one!

Overpriced, reviews are filtered
Even though some of these kits are really expensive for what they are I was being swayed by instagram ads before seeing the delivery. Its advertised on Instagram as 2 working days but is actually 3-5, and what I assume will be a pretty small package will be £5 postage for this fairly slow delivery!? Also the one that is being advertised everywhere on Instagram is priced at £49 when free delivery is over 50, how convenient that the cheapest thing on the website is about £19 so theres no way to make this up. Come on your profit margins must already be insane, that's a bit money grubbing. I also tried to post this review on their website then realised that they filter reviews before they post them, that's a bit dishonest.

Our delivery times are 3-5 working days. Unfortunately, we have had to change delivery times due to the Brexit, which is making everything take much longer.
Of course we have to draw a line somewhere where we charge shipping costs. We have done this for orders above €50.
The shipping costs that we charge are a small percentage of the total shipping costs.
The package is always insured and if, for example, it gets lost, we will resend it free of charge.
In addition, we offer free returns - within 14 days of receipt.
