My experience with this company has made me personally uneasy about this company

My experience with this company has made me personally uneasy about this company

On the 01 August 2025 at 9.53 the company sent an email to an email address I have. In the email it said
" after exploring your website, ****.co. uk. "

This STATEMENT can be demonstrated to be NOT TRUE as there is no website and never has been a website

Furthermore
1) The email address used in the email sent me is not available in the public domain (viz. it is not listed on any social media such as LinkedIn)
2) The email address is dormant and unused in the public and private domain and its details are not available in the public domain.
3) The email is a private email under GDPR and European law definition and thus it cannot be used to contact the individual

Also
• I have given Prospect Administration, Bspec  and its subsidiaries and associate companies  no information,
• I have never had a business relationship with Prospect Administration, Bspec  and its subsidiaries and associate companies  and
• I have never given Prospect Administration, Bspec  and its subsidiaries and associate companies  permission to collect, store or pass on my personal and private information.

Thus, I am very concerned that there has been a privacy data breach and am concerned about how Prospect Administration, Bspec  and its subsidiaries and associate companies has obtained personal information about me and about how it is handling it

As a consequence I have needed to write to the company and request information about how Prospect Administration, Bspec  and its subsidiaries and associate companies obtained and are handling my data and have needed to ask to be provided with a copy of that data.

The Prospect Administration, Bspec  website shows the logos of the ICO and the CAN-SPAM organisations. IN MY VIEW although it displays these logos on its website my personal experience suggests to me that it has not operated in a manner consistent with the requirements of these organisations. Also IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING that the ICO and CAN-SPAM do not permit their logos to be used in this manner.
The above personal experience and personal observations makes me personally uneasy about the company

RESPONSE
Dear Sirs/Madams
I am perplexed by the reply to my trust pilot review.
The reply includes some statements I don’t recognise as representing the situation as I experienced it

1) I was not contacted via an advertisement campaign as suggested in the reply and the contact did not come via one of the campaigns you mention when you say "Currently, the campaigns we run include ads on networks such as Meta, Google, Bing, and LinkedIn, as well as email marketing and professional outreach."

THE CONTACT WAS VIA AN EMAIL SENT FROM THE A COMPANY EMAIL ADDRESS OF ONE THE COMPANY DIRECTORS.
IT DID NOT ARRIVE VIA ONE OF THE ABOVE CAMPAIGNS OR FROM A THIRD PARTY EMAIL URL

2) The sender was a named director of the company and gave his name and company telephone – the email originated from THE URL OF THE COMPANY identical with that URL reported in the Trust Pilot profile of Bspec (see the Bspec Trust Pilot profile) and not from a URL of a third party

With regard to the offer to remove my details from Bspec,s database I reference my

SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST sent on 1 AUGUST 2025

This was sent to

a) the named director in the original email sent from Bspec's company URL
b) The directors listed with companies house
c) The general contact email identical with that given in the Trust Pilot profile of Bspec -.(see the Bspec Trust Pilot profile)

IT WAS ALSO SENT BY POST TO THE REGISTERED ADDRESS give on Companies house

COMPANIES AND ORGANISATIONS WHICH ADHERE TO GDPR REQUIREMENT WILL APPRECIATE THAT THE ICO EXPECT SUCH REQUESTS TO BE DEALT WITH BY THE RECIPIENT COMPANY/ORGANISATION WITHIN ONE CALENDAR MONTH OF RECEIPT

IT IS NOW NOVEMBER 2025 (SOME 3 MONTHS SINCE SENDING THE SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST) AND NO RESPONSE TO THE SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST HAS BEEN RECIEVED.

Hence I am very perplexed by the reply to my review as the Bspec web site mentions the importance of adherence to GDPR requirements

Hi Pitchy,

Thank you for taking the time to review our website.

Really happy with bSpec

Really happy with bSpec. They do not indulge in aggressive email marketing messages. The emails they send to prospective customers, are very polite, friendly and have received a very good response.
