Expensive clematis with no guarantee

Ordered a clematis online and it arrived as an extremely small plant. I planted it in the fall and followed their instructions. It did not survive the winter. I contacted the company in the spring and they said that they have no guarantee over the winter. That is terrible for what you pay for their plants. Will not be ordering again.

The most disappointing online order I ever experienced

For the high price I paid for one gallon plant, I received a plant much smaller than the similar variety from a different vendor at 2/3 of Brushwood’s price. It’s packaged with a plastic bag with two leaves visible. When I opened the bag, bugs crawled out.

Poor Service

I bought two clematis plants. One is surviving and the other has not. I am an experienced gardener so this isn’t a case of user error.

I reached out to Brushwood’s service seeking their opinion on next steps, even sending pictures after 3 weeks. I received no response from my first and second (resend) emails

I see from other reviews that Brushwood states it cannot take responsibility for post planting. I would expect them to at a minimum take responsibility for responding to their customers promptly especially since their plants are not inexpensive.

Exceeded my expectations A+++

I’m so pleased with my Brushwood Nursery Arabella Clematis that I ordered in May. It actually is the best online plant purchase I’ve ever made. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Online purchases of plants can sometimes be “iffy” (I’ve made quite a few purchases over the years when I can’t find plants locally). Ordering was easy, arrived on time and exactly as they described.

When it arrived it had little growth above the soil line which exactly what they describe on their website. In just 30 DAYS this wonderful clematis is lushly blossoming and budding – it is a very happy plant! And just six weeks later it has 17 blossoms and buds which is amazing.

The Arabella Clematis is hardy and blooms all summer long (I had one for 15 years).

I highly recommend Brushwood Nursery and extend my thanks to them for their quality plants and good care.

It seems I can't post pics on this review which I wished I could do.

Brushwood Nursery is peerless in mail…

Brushwood Nursery is peerless in mail order nurseries. We “collect” clematis plants - we have 67 at last count - and Brushwood’s plant quality and packaging is second to none. The plants consistently have large, healthy, well established root systems and are trimmed back for shipping so they take off and grow immediately after planting. My Brushwood clematis that I planted three weeks ago are larger, healthier, and more vigorous than clematis plants I purchased and planted last year from a local nursery. When I’ve ordered from other online nurseries (and I’ve ordered from many), I’ve prepared myself to be disappointed, and that has nearly always been the case. Brushwood far exceeded my expectations; I will order exclusively from them in the future.

I ordered a clematis

I ordered a clematis. I received extremely small plant for $29.00. Plant died after 3 month. When I emailed the company(there is no number for customer service to call) with my complaint and requested for a replacement, I have not received a professional customer service treatment. Plant was not replaced, answer was that they are not surprised because spring was cold.....
Do not recommend this nursery if you do not want to be frustrated.

Great Clematis, Wisteria and other Vines!

Brushwood Nursery is a great online company to order Clematis and other Vines. I had ordered three Clematis, a Lonicera and a Wisteria in spring 2019. The plants were delivered healthy and well developed. My Clematis and Lonicera bloomed the first spring and the Amethyst Falls Wisteria bloomed for me this March, even after being uprooted and moved to a new home. This spring I ordered another two Lonicera, a Campsis Grandiflora, two more Clematis and a Blue Moon Wisteria. They are growing nicely and I look forward to watching them all bloom.
