Used to be a fan of Brooks
I have some PROs and CONs to share from my experience with Brooks Shoes over the past several years.
Currently have roughly 10 pairs of Brooks shoes in my possession in various models that I have purchased over the past several years. Shoe models range from the Beast and Ghost, then I tried Glycerin GTS, Adrenaline GTS, and Addiction as my walking shoe. I've had previous and current models of these identified shoes and have experienced the design changes over the past 4-5 years.
What I have to say:
Brooks customer service is excellent, never had an issue. If you don't like something or if the shoe doesn't fit right, contact them and they will take it back and exchange or refund the shoes. Can't beat that!
I have bad knees, flat feet, hammer toe and plantar fasciitis so, I'm very picky with shoe brand, fitment, comfort and quality. Ghost, Beast and Adrenaline have been my favorite models over the years.
It's important that I stay with a shoe maker that is consistent during model changes with sizing, good fitment, structure, durability, comfort, quality and availability.
Design change, inconsistent fitment after change, change of materials (cheaper) and comfort has been my biggest personal complaints with Brooks Shoes over time with rising prices. I find a good Brooks shoe model that fits well, works for me and is mo go to shoe, then year after year the design and fitment changes. I purchase a great pair of Brooks shoes one year, then the next year I try and purchase the same newer model in same size to discover serious fitment and sizing issues.
I stopped purchasing Brooks shoes online a year ago. I still like them, I still think they make great shoes (depending on the model and use), however you need to sit down and try them on in a store, lace them up, walk around in them and get a feel for proper fitment. I got really tired of loving the Beast one year and hating them the next, loving the Adrenaline one year and hating them the next......
I've had a pair of Ghost shoes every year for there past 3 years and each pair from each year fits me differently. One is too tight in toe box, one has squishy unstable feeling souls where last year it wasn't like that and one is perfect to my feet from 3 years ago. Then the next year they change it again and something else gets messed up. I can't stand that inconsistency in sizing, materials and change of fitment. A size 13 started off fitting perfectly with some room in the toe box, the next year my toe is hitting the end as the shoe got shorter & narrower, then the next year there's something hitting the top of my toe...... I Looked online for sizing and there's no option for 13.5 (13 only), however there is 11.5 and 12.5, etc......doesn't make sense....
I also have a new pair of Brooks Glycerin from a couple years ago and the toe box is caving in and hurts my toes. Sadly by the time I got around to start using them every day and noticing the defect, it is too late to do anything.
The latest Brooks Beast 24 I purchased feel great "conditionally", walking on a flat surface however, they are shorter than the previous model in a size 13 (inconsistent sizing with changes). They are ok when walking on flat surface, but any down hill walking causes my toe to mash the end or my toe is hitting something in the roof of the toe box. it seems like the material was glued inside to make it not collapse......The previous generation Beast fit me perfectly with no issues even with my orthotics installed. It's like something was good last year, then next year they change it and cause fitment issues with some other things getting better but, what wasn't a problem last year is now a problem this year. This is why I decided, I gave to stop buying Brooks online, models are changing, inconsistency with manufacturing, sizing, quality and best to go into a store for proper selection & fitment. A Beast shoe may have been good and fit well in 2024 but in 2025 the Beast have changed and now we have sizing and fitment issues.....
Brooks has a good online tool to analyze your needs for a proper shoe however, you might want to go into a store to try them on.
Brooks had my business as a customer and loyalty for several years until the drastic design and fitment issues continued year after year. Hopefully for the better for most. Not for me.
Glycerin GTS 22 was my last order (ID # BRU17144379) on JAN 22, 2025, very expensive shoe at $175.40. Great looking shoe however, I wear them occasionally for leisure and not for sports or physical activity (not even a power walk) because the soul is very squishy and unstable, I feel like I'm going to roll my ankle when I wear them. Unstable feeling. The toe box is narrow and squishes my large toes. Previous model same size didn't do this...Seems like the shoes are shrinking but not changing claimed size. I know my feet aren't growing, I'm in my 50s.

My wife had a small indentation in one of her running shoes. We contacted brooks customer service to see if there was a way to get it out. They couldn't have been more helpful. They asked for the shoe model number of the shoe. It was a discontinued model. They immediately gave her a choice of the same model as the old ones... had a new pair within a week... we will be brooks show owner for life. I am customer for life. What a great company. We didn't ask for or expect this. GREAT JOB.

I have loved dealing with this company and can fully recommend them.
I alway have a problem with fitting so buying online is not something a normaly do. It took my a couple trys with different styles before I go the size and fit I wanted and using the Shoe finder really helped. The Brooks shoe return (which I used) was a great help and give me confidence to use Brooks. It took a couple of attempts but once I got the right fitting product I was very happy with my purchase so much so that I have purchased another pair. Delivery was next day which I appreciated. Very happy with the shoes which I think are well made and have made a big difference to my running. I will be buy Brooks in future as the shoes are great and I feel like a values customer . I did contact customer service and was looked after by Jessica who was very helpful a joy to deal with. Good job all round Brooks.

I received fantastic customer support today from Brooks. I raised an issue with them this morning regarding a pair of Adrenaline gts and the issue was resolved with a few emails.
Good products and top service
The shoes are great - worn them for many hundreds of miles, but the customer service sets them apart. Engaged, helpful and empathetic staff make me want to always use this brand. Well done and thank you

I bought a pair of trainers from their online store in November, which i didnt receive. I asked for a refund and was assured by Jessica i would be refunded asap. I waited over a month and still no refund. Jessica again assured me this was being taken care of...still nothing. After a third email, Jessica said she would refund manually, but still nothing...in the end i had to do a chargeback on my credit card to reclaim my money.
Terrible customer service. I certainly wont be shopping with them again.

I bought some running shoes direct from Brooks. They do a no fuss 90 day refund if you don't get on with them. I have had two pairs of other Brooks running shoes and they were mostly fine but this pair I had problems with. I returned them to Brooks (FREE) and had a full refund next day. That is good customer service and I am happy to use Brooks running again.
Brooks Stands Behind Their Runners—Impressive Support!
I have been wearing Brooks for many years from the years of marathons and feature runs to my suburban circuits and trails I tend to do these days. No lower leg issues while wearing them. However recently I had an issue with a new pair of runners - a defect. Brooks took a look at the issue via images and replaced these with a new pair. Thats real class!

Cancelled my order for no reason. I fully believe this is discrimination and racism. I used a discount code now when trying to place a new order it does not work. Avoid them and go elsewhere many better brands.

I have been running in Brooks shoes for a couple of years now. I need the GTS shoe due to being an overpronator and the Glycerin GTS is my go to daily runner. Recently, due to the wet Irish weather I opted to try the Adrenaline GTS GTX, however, after a couple of runs I determined that they are not suitable for my needs. I contacted Brooks who have understood my needs and helped me replace my Adrenaline GTS with a pair of Glycerin GTS. Thank you, Brooks!
