After searching online for decent wood flooring for sometime, we came across Broadleaf (Llandeilo). Went and visited the shop, met Andrew (manager) etc. who clearly new his stuff about the products he sold. He gave us confidence in what he had to offer. Really helpful, smart (as in intelligent! (and dressed smart too)), polite and completely engaged and understood what we were looking for. And you know what struck? He wasn't pushy. None of this sales pitch bullshit. He helped us narrow down what we were looking for, gave us a couple of actual samples to take away. We placed the order! Broadleaf work with a number of floor installers a d he gave us details of GMT Carpentry (Shane). We were having renovations done and unfortunately the completion date kept slipping and then we found some electrical issues. Andrew kept in contact, genuinely interested in how everything was going and promised to hold our order in their warehouse until we were all done with the renovations - that took away some stress tbh! We also made some amendments to our order after placing it. Again, Andrew reassured us, it's no problem and attended to the order. Delivery day came and a big chap unloaded the van of 34 packs of 4 very heavy planks into the house - they were so heavy, proper solid!
GMT Carpentry (Shane) installed the flooring in 4 bedrooms and the landing. Our house built in the early 1800s presented a few issues, but there was none of this "can't do that" stuff. Shane was really great. Overcame the issues, got that floor installed in less than a week, no fuss or bother. His vacuum was on almost all the time, keeping dust to an absolute minimum, cleaned up and mopped everything, including the stairs after. The finished install looked like a showroom. Absolutely amazed. Attention to detail was second to none.
We were so pleased with everything from the service at Broadleaf (Andrew) to the quality of the floor, to the install and Shane's amazing job, that we are getting a quote to have it installed downstairs throughout the lounge.
If you want decent flooring, a proper decent service from both the shop and floor installer, deal with people who are professional, human and knows what they are talking about, then Andrew (Broadleaf) and Shane (GMT Carpentry) are the go-to in the area!! Highly recommend these guys!

Rob and the team were fantastic at helping guide us through the full process: from ordering the correct materials for our parquet floor, to guiding our installer, and then helping out when things did not go according to plan. Full marks. Highly recommend Broadleaf Timber. Our floor looks beautiful.

We found Chris at Broadleaf extremely polite and helpful.
Used our own fitters and are very happy with the flooring we chose.
Have used Broadleaf before and will use again.

Vision Development South Ltd is my Berkshire-based timber frame Company that uses timber flooring constantly. The customer service was outstanding and Robert in the showroom couldn't have been more helpful. The product is of excellent quality and the standard we look for as a Company. I would have no hesitation in ordering again. Thank you Broadleaf

Have been sold a large amount of wood flooring of poor quality.
The product delievered had a significant and beyond what's considerred reasonable amount of large and highly visible factory knots/fillers in annoying grey colour.
Needless to say, after the purchase and pointing it out to the retailer I was told "this is standard practise" and "that I didn't ask about knots/fillers as they would have told me".
Well, you walk into their store and look at all the samples they provide you and you can be sure that you won't see any knots/fillers.
I was happy to pay more for a product but for a first time buyer I did hope for quality advice and I didn't get any.
Again, answer from retailer - "I should have asked about quality" and "these are standard" and "over the years nobody complained".
I am sure they will come up with some kind of rebuffle to this review.
Anyway, I am in dispute now via my credit card provider, as there was no willingness for any acknowledgement/discounts etc.
Lesson learned - when buying at Broadleaf you need to get a Phd in wood flooring first to know everything you can and help yourself with the specification etc.
Update/reply to the below from Broadleaf.
- The amount of knots was above average as per my discussions with other shops.
- Do you really expect people to review every single piece of wood to check for defects? Isn’t the idea od buying from a trusted shop to avoid double and triple checking.
- I appreciate it looks nicer on Trustpilot that this could easily have been returned but as per our communication what you actually suggested is to use those particular pieces of wood - with very visible knots/fillers - in parts of house that are less frequently used.
- Also, don’t you know that house renovations work on a tight schedule and if your have fitters lined up it is not like it is ‘simple’ to report anything? It is an easy excuse on your side to say this could have been returned as practically speaking the costs are a multiplier. But I guess it looks good on Trustpilot too.
- No, none of your brochures, samples or anything in your shop has knots/fillers to imply this is standard.

Purchased a herringbone engineered Oak floor in January/Feb 2024. I was recommended one of their installers lay the floor. At first, I was really happy with the finish and installation, however over the next few months the floor was making terrible creaking noises all over, when walked on. I contacted Broadleaf, sent them a video of the noises the floor was making. Broadleaf blamed the installer and told him to repay the installation costs because he wouldn't rectify the noise issues I had with the floor.
He repaid the installation costs, however, Broadleaf still haven't rectified the noise issues. I even had a meeting with one of the directors to send someone round to see the floor. To date no one has called to inspect the floor, and is still making creaking noises when walked on.
My issue is that initially Broadleaf were good in recognising that there was an installation problem, but they haven't done anything to rectify it. I am 12 month on from complaining, and still my floor hasn't been inspected.
Their after care and customer services are terrible, and would never use them again

First, the quality of the products - excellent.
But secondly, beyond that, truly outstanding customer support with after-sales advice and guidance.
Broadleaf mark themselves out, above many others, by being very friendly to deal with, efficient and actually caring about the customer.
Thank you!

Andrew at Broadleaf Llandeilo provided some of the best service I've experienced, from taking the time to explain all the differences between the types of floor and advise on the best and most cost effective strategy! The process was smooth and easy and I felt in very safe hands. Now the floor is fitted I'm also able to say how happy I am with the result - it's made the house shine and I will definitely be returning as a customer in the future.

I don't normally write reviews; being British I'm stuck between complaining about everything and my mother saying if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all
Carly @ Broadleaf came up with a custom stain after endless samples and patience and delivered several hundred m2 of beautiful flooring in a short time, at a solid price within the delivery deadline. Delivered into the house where I've carefully have been playing jenga every time another room gets renovated.
The flooring went down beautifully, a reminder that one of their selling points is that they can go straight on the joists. Fast forward a year later and my wife's loading up on a new kitchen and we can't decide on the floor. There are endless pros and cons to wax vs poly coated floor but there are only cons with arguing. Truth be told the floor *on appearance* hadn't worn well - along came my emails to broadleaf.
My question was simple - hand on heart should we lay their floor in the kitchen or is it at risk of being damaged to easily as my family made up of toddlers carlessly drop things on it. Broadleaf had already sold me the floor, it was a question of whether we should use it in the kitchen or some other product.
I messaged broadleaf flagging my concerns and they quickly came back, shortening the expiernce I'd say Luke swiftly educated and calmed my concerns, kindly provided advice on how their floors can easily be touched up and how the coating on residential products is exactly the same as what you see in bars and hotels.
I've just spent an hour touching up or iykyk *maintaining* the floor today. It's absolutely stunning and thank you the team at broadleaf for going out of your way with after sales care. Kids time to bring your muddy shoes, lego trains, chain saws and metal cars back into the family room!

Can not fault this company, from stepping foot through their doors with an enquiry to the end finish has been an amazing experience, Russell ( Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan) has been astounding with his knowledge and experience. Russell was always available with advice and recommendations, he also recommend the perfect craftsman to create our dark aged oak parquet flooring.
If you are considering going with this Company don’t consider any more, go with them as they certainty are the best.
Very surprised to see any poor reviews here for Broadleaf. We used their Bath shop 10 years ago for a full apartment reverb. The service & product was superb. The floor still looked stunning after over a decade. We’ve just moved & want to use the same product again, but this time it’s a none standard request. I have been dealing with Shaun Griffiths at head office & he has been utterly brilliant, going above & beyond to help us. Every interaction has been professional, polite & knowledgeable. Could not recommend them highly enough.

**Update - 3.5 months later Bath bothered to reply & only, I’m guessing, because there were told to as our complaint was escalated and a kit to improve the boards sent out. The boards in the showroom are NOT filled with filler. I have emails from the woman in Bath blaming my builders, yet she wasn’t happy about that suggestion when she read it on here.
Bought extra wide strata superior oak flooring from Bath showroom. Every floorboard had nasty grey filler in it which we weren’t expecting. When I queried it, they said there should be enough wastage to filter out the boards that did or didn’t have it and tried to blame our fitter. Odd way to select top range flooring! And impossible as pretty much every board had the unsightly filler which was not matching with the nude oak but was grey. Not impressed at all - this is supposed to be top quality flooring. Can’t return the wastage either. Terrible service and after care. She just said she’d pass on comments. Avoid.

excellent professional and considerate attention from the start from Andrew in the Llandeilo Shop and Dai (DW Flooring and Carpentry) who fitted our floor and stairs. Very good range of flooring made available with attention to environmental care and sustainability. Communication was excellent throughout from ordering, costing, delivery and fitting.
We were fortunate in having first class care when our initial fitter, due to health concerns, was unable to undertake the work. Andrew secured the services of Dai who was a considerate, meticulous and very competent fitter leaving us with beautiful floors and a new stairway.
Thank you Broadleaf Llandeilo

We have dealt with Broadleaf Llandeilo over a 17 year period and have found them to be excellent. We are so pleased with the outcome in our lounge. A really first class job. Thanks to Andrew in the Llandeilo office and to the exceptional fitter, Dai Waters, who was a pleasure to have working in the house.

We have bought over a period of 3 years over 150sqm of the terra fired oak flooring in various board widths. Typically the boards are dark in colour with a subtle variance due to the advised smoking process. The boards we had delivered last week in the 200mm width have a massive variance with half the boards resembling light oak and are in stark contrast to the 300mm boards delivered at the same time. These 200mm boards look like nothing else and have no resemblance to the photos online either. Broafleaf simply advise it is 'due to the smoking process' but what we are left with is is a third of our house looking like it has been finished in a different very cheap board with the join between the 300mm and 200mm boards only delivered last week providing the worse contrast. Extremely disappointing given the amount we have spent to try and have a uniform flooring look.
