I purchased a filter system, stand and metal spigot. The stand they sent was damaged, and there was a dent on the metal reservoir of the filter system, which is unattractive considering it sits on the counter. From there it got worse—the system leaked all over for two days. Customer service was rude and difficult to deal with.
I recently bought a set of 4 filters and a tap from this company. Whilst I can't yet comment on the actual product, I find customer service to be quite blunt. Even though they respond to queries, they are not terribly helpful. I'll be glad when I'm able to order my Berkey filters again (there is an ongoing legal issue currently) If Berkefeld were nicer to deal with, and more customer focused, I'd deal with them again. It could possibly be a language issue. Maybe I've just been unlucky with the wrong people in e-mails.
Worth every single penny. Works perfectly,beautiful clean water,looks stylish. I wish I had got it years ago. So much better than the chewy-feeling water out of my brita filter,and now I have the steel unit it will work out cheaper!
These filters fit the Berkey water filter systems, but the stems to tighten the water filter to the unit can easily break off when disassembling to clean.
British Berkefeld won't honor a warranty for this as their suggestion is to just buy a new pair of water filters.
