hiding from criticism (and lying in reply)

Notice how there aren't any critical comments on their youtube videos? I think I have a pretty good idea why.

They had a live video on the Bravos Research Crypto channel on the 19th of November where they discussed recent market events and directed viewers toward their product. Me and one other user discussed their offer in the chat. We noticed that, according to their own data -- comparing the returns from winning vs losing trades -- their returns don't seem to beat that of the S&P500. You can't be sure without third party audited broker statements. An issue I also raised, but they don't seem to have any. Those comments, both mine and that of the other user, are now missing from the recorded chat.

Shortly afterwards I noticed that I can't make a comment on any of their videos that would be visible in incognito mode. Even though I can see them, nobody else can. This is exactly what happens when a youtube creator decides to hide a specific user from his channel.

My criticism was polite, but pointed and inconvenient.

I never bought their product, because I decided against it for good reasons. Too bad I was shadowbanned for sharing these reasons with others. This behavior is a major red flag and everyone who considers buying their product should be aware of it.

EDIT: concerning their reply:

1) I believe the live in question had something about shorting the S&P500 in the title. Now that this decision turned out to be *very* wrong, the title was changed. So much for transparency.
2) In contrast to what they say, they advertise that they their trades have been something, something "comfortably beating the market". You've heard this phrase if you watched a few videos of theirs. I have serious doubts about that.
3) I am 100% shadowbanned. No comment goes through, even completely innocent ones with no phrases they mentioned.

Just don't. They create an illusion of competence and transparency, but they won't deliver what you hope.

Thank you for sharing your concerns — we take this seriously and want to clarify openly:

We do not delete or hide critical comments
We welcome respectful challenges and questions.
YouTube sometimes auto-filters comments (especially those referencing performance or financial terms), including during livestream chat replays. This happens to positive comments as well, and unfortunately can be confusing when messages disappear.
But to be clear — we did not manually remove or block you.

You are not shadowbanned
We checked: your account is not restricted on our end.
We encourage skeptical voices, and many critical comments remain visible on our content.

About performance comparisons
Your point about benchmarking is fair.
We do not publish a single annualized return because our members implement:
• different allocation sizes
• different market timing
• stock-only vs stock + crypto
• varying risk levels
Instead, we publish every closed trade transparently so people can review the system using their own sizing and compare it fairly to indices like the S&P 500.

We do not claim “guaranteed outperformance” — our focus is risk-adjusted returns, capital preservation, and disciplined execution.

We respect your caution and your decision not to subscribe.
Thank you again for raising these points — we hope this clarifies the situation for anyone reading.

Making money from uncertainty

Bravos Research attempts to unsettle small investors with sensational YouTube videos. They imply that subscribing to Bravos will solve all problems. The sales pitch is easy to see through.

The recently released video “A Once in a Lifetime Economic Reset is Coming” is a good example of this: The video claims that growing inequality in wealth distribution in the US will lead to a major tax reform (in particular an increase in corporate tax), which will then cause a stock market crash like in 1929. The fact that there will be no political majority for such a tax reform in the US in the foreseeable future is not mentioned. However, viewers are led to believe that a Bravos subscription will ensure they are informed in good time. Bravos is therefore trying to sell solutions to problems that do not yet exist. How sad! A good trader should be able to earn their money through good trading, right?

It is also very annoying that the YouTube moderators at Bravos do not allow criticism like this in the comments on their YouTube videos, but delete it immediately. This strongly contradicts their claim to be “as transparent as possible.”

Trustpilot moderates reviews itself, so I hope that this review will not be deleted. If necessary, I am happy to prove at any time that my statements are accurate.

A comment to your reply:

Your YouTube videos intend to gain more customers. Therefore, they are very relevant for customers as well as potential customers. You have deleted justified criticism of mine (see above) from the comments below your YouTube video. This is an inacceptable repression of free speech. It shows that your statement "we welcome open discussion of ideas" is not true. This deeply questions the trustworthiness of your service.

Thank you for your feedback. This review appears to be based on our free YouTube content, not our subscription service. Our subscribers receive in-depth analysis, trade alerts, weekly reports, and direct support — which is a very different experience than what’s described here.

We welcome open discussion of ideas, but Trustpilot is designed for reviews of customer experiences. If you are a subscriber and have concerns about the service itself, please reach out to us directly so we can address them fully.

No point if they forget to send out trade alerts

The problem with Bravos Research is that you pay them money to provide you with Trade Alerts. Because the trading that they do is short to medium term - ie they hold trades for a few hours if things go badly or at most for a few weeks if things go well - missing out on a trade alert can cost you money. And I've noticed on quite a few occasions that they just forget to send trade alerts. Recently they had no trade alerts at all going out for a few days during which they closed a few important trades. But this isn't an isolated incident, it happens all the time.

So the problem is, if you want to trade in this way, you need reliable information received on a regular basis. Peter's analysis videos are fantastic and informative, but because the trade alerts aren't reliable, it's hard to recommend them. You don't know if maybe this time they will forget to send out an alert just before a certain stock crashes by 20%.

Thank you for your honest and detailed feedback — we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

You’re absolutely right that trade alerts are a critical part of our service, and we sincerely apologize for the recent lapses you experienced. We did encounter a technical issue that affected the alert distribution system, and unfortunately, it caused delays or misses in some notifications.

That said, we’re pleased to confirm that the issue has been fully resolved as of two days ago. We’ve implemented safeguards to prevent this from happening again and are closely monitoring the system to ensure full reliability going forward.

We’re glad to hear that you find Peter’s analysis valuable, and we’re committed to matching that level of quality across all parts of the service. Your trust means a lot to us, and we’re working hard to earn it back.

Bravos research -- the good and bad.

Peter's videos and analysis are v. good. The trading mindset is excellent too.

The problem is trade recommendations often come out after hours suggesting entry / exit at unrealistic prices. They don't publish a P&L ledger, simply claim it for some trades, though even there, there's no proof of transaction.

Also, the site and app are shitty / slow. Once a recommendation comes out the cohorts following their guidance are big enough that some names move quickly based solely on their alerts.

Finally, if you add a comment which they don't like, it's censored or shadow banned.

Thank you for your detailed feedback — both the positive and the critical are truly appreciated.

We’re glad to hear you value Peter’s analysis and the focus on trading mindset. That’s at the core of what we offer, and it’s great to know it resonates.

That said, we take your concerns seriously. We’re actively working on improving the performance of both the website and app, especially during peak traffic when new trades are released. We’re also reviewing how and when trade alerts are issued to improve clarity and timing.

Regarding transparency, we aim to be as open as possible about trade performance. While we don’t publish a real-time P&L ledger, we’re exploring ways to make reporting more comprehensive and verifiable, without compromising compliance or encouraging copy-trading.

Lastly, on community moderation — we do filter comments to maintain a respectful and constructive tone, but we never aim to silence thoughtful criticism. We’ll take a closer look at how this is being handled to ensure fairness.

Thanks again for taking the time to share this — it’s feedback like yours that helps us improve.

Let down by a poor backend

Peter´s videos are good, informative. What let´s the service down is a poor website and app that becomes unresponsive whenever they post a new trade and let their subscribers know by email. Sometimes takes 4-5 minutes to see the details.

Also, subscriber posts do not go online unless they are happy with the content of your post. I am not sure this is how subscribers paying hundreds of dollars should be treated.

But I say it again, the analysis and Peter are fabulous!

Thank you for your feedback — we really appreciate both the praise and the constructive criticism.

We’re thrilled to hear that you’re enjoying Peter’s analysis and videos. It’s what we work hardest on, and knowing that value is coming through means a lot to us.

That said, we take your concerns seriously. You’re absolutely right about the delays during peak times when a new trade is posted. We are actively working on a technical upgrade to make both the website and app far more responsive under high load.

Regarding the posting of subscriber comments, we moderate to ensure a respectful and constructive environment, but we recognize the need for more transparency in that process. We’re reviewing this policy to strike a better balance between open dialogue and productive discourse.

Thanks again for your honest input — it helps us improve, and we hope to earn back your full trust soon.
