I had a Braun clock (slightly different model - voice control, which was actually a bit annoying) back in the eighties, but someone relieved me of it as they liked it rather too much. I've been... See more

About Braun-Clocks - UK
Written by the company
Over the last six decades, design has become a core pillar of the Braun brand. The values of quality, functionality, clarity, longevity and timelessness have been integrated into an enduring design philosophy. Braun users identify with these values; for them, Braun watches, Braun clocks, and Braun calculators are long-term companions. In an age of prosperity and saturation, the benefit of fewer, better products has become self-evident.
As Braun sets out to create desirable, innovative products, their gaze looks forward into the future, whilst the design principles they use to achieve consistency, simplicity and clarity are firmly rooted in the brand’s unique design legacy.
Through the productions processes in the Prestige collection, where the BN0095 has been crafted from a single block of stainless steel, to the use of materials for the Full Ceramic Watch, innovation remains a central focus on the Braun brand.
There are few better examples of these enduring design principles than Braun timepieces. These watches, clocks, and calculators have been created as collections of engaging simplicity, where less becomes so much more.

Faint alarm.
The alarm is very faint...probably too faint to awaken me. Otherwise, the functions are ok.
Excellent.
Replacement Braun Travel Clock
The clock was correct and it works, replacing one I bought from another supplier but is faulty, this made me purchase direct from Braun.
The clock had tracked postage and arrived promptly.
Battery change costs 75 EUROS!
Changing of battery costs a staggering 75 EUROs, as per the quotation of the sole enterprise in Germany, offering this service. Having ordered this watch on account of its beautiful design, I cancelled my order within 30 hours, only to learn it had already been handed to FedEx for shipment. I notified FedEx of my refusal to accept the delivery and received a full refund from BRAUN Clocks today, five weeks later.
VORSICHT!

A company I trust providing great products with a good service.
5 stars for looks. 1 star for the rest
5 stars for looks! Great design! Was that Dieter Rams?
1 star for quality and usability.
I bought this watch first time about 40 years ago. It kept failing after about 2 years. Since I like the design I would keep buying new when It was broken, because it was cheap, less than 10DM at the Frankfurt Airport. That is Deutche Marks not Euro.
I still have one clock with plastic hands warped that the minute hand hooks on the hour hand.
Now we are in new century (even in new millennium) I got it on amazon.ca and I am surprised that Braun sells clocks which require MANUAL setting of time! Again we are in year 2024. There are radio stations broadcasting time, there are GPS satellites with accurate time, there is WiFi which can get time from Internet, there is Bluetooth which can get time from mobile phone. And this MANUAL setting is very awkward and un-ergonomic.

Excellence spoiled
I love the clean design, comfortable, great watch, I returned it as 1 thing spoils the value: clunky buttons! Not in keeping with the cost or elegance.
I returned the watch and a quick refund resulted.

BN0095 with Leather Strap is a terrible purchase in my opinion
In my opinion Braun make some of the best looking watches around. Unfortunately that is where my praises end. Around a year and a half ago I purchased a Braun BN0095 in silver with the leather strap. The glue in the strap deteriorated after about 4-5 months and the two layers have delaminated (and I didn't even wear the watch every day). The battery lasted about a year. The design makes batteries very difficult to replace. And also the strap is next to impossible to replace due to the design of the watch. It appears the the strap is fused to a 'custom lug' which is then bolted to the watch rather then using a normal spring bar mechanism. You cannot even interchange between the existing straps for the watch (metal, rubber) as they require a different type of custom lug attachment which I do not believe you can purchase anywhere on its own. For a '£550' watch this is utterly ridiculous in my opinion. I personally think I am willing to look past a lot because of how much I like the look of the watch, and how much I appreciate the heritage of the company. But if you are looking to pick up this watch I would recommend going with either the rubber or metal straps. That being said I do not have experience with either but they can surely only be better then the leather. For a company with such a reputation and history of 'good design', this product is honestly awful. Definitely my worst purchase in recent years.
