I spent £140 on a pair of brasher country master from go outdoors in August 20. One year later the boots have come apart from the sole and the rubber is perrishing. For this money I would expect these boots to last at least 5 years. One year is a disgrace. I will not buy brasher again.

Look's like I will have to buy a better pair of boots as l put two much importance for my feet not worth the bother with basher.

I have ordered a pair of boots direct from Brasher. Delivery is supposedly up to 10 days... Including weekends. Sixteen days later they are still not dispatched. I attempted to contact customer services several days ago, but no response yet.
Nothing on their website about things being slow due to Covid etc. Their sales confirmation email actually says "We are usually pretty quick at picking and packing your order which means we are not able to make any amendments to your items or delivery". That is utter rubbish.
Note: this is a review of their service, not the boots - I'm still waiting for those.

I have tried to complain by email about a pair of boots that I bought in October. Last month one of the metal points where you tie the laces came out of the leather. First email 26 June, second one 5 July, third today. No response. Wish I'd checked here first, I wouldn't have bought them. The ones I bought in 1994 are just beginning to wear out - what happened
Phoned and was told I could return them to Blacks at the Metrocentre. That was news to any the manager - no one had told him about that - but he rang Brasher "Customer Care" and I got a refund eventually. Planning to buy another brand now!

I bought a recent pair of Brasher stretch walking trousers and the pocket zip came off the runner without force. I have bought many of these trousers over the years and very happy with the quality until the problem with this pair. I emailed customer service as there is no phone contact number with no reply within a week. Consequently, I managed to find a seamstress to replace a zip at a cost of £16 that should have been covered under their guarantee. Although, I have always been happy with Brasher products I will now always buy an alternative brand as Brasher customer service is awful and do not respond.

Terrible quality, terrible service
I bought a pair of Brasher Country Trekker boots in April 2020 and only 13 months later they split at the seam between the sole and the leather. Poor quality, but the customer service was even worse, i.e. non-existent. Bought them at Blacks, who told me they were outside the warranty period, so couldn't help. I then complained to Brashers directly and never even got an acknowledgement to my email, let alone an apology. My husband also has a pair of Brashers, they are less than a year old and they too are starting to crack near the sole. I look after my boots, my previous pair (NOT Brashers) lasted 19 years. I won't bother buying Brashers ever again.

Bought a pair of brasher boots (2020) have used them a couple of dozen times and twice in the wet grass I have wet feet, not the same brasher as they use to be! Waste of money.

Original post: I bought an expensive pair of Brasher walking boots in January 2020 from Millets for my daughter as she was taking part in the DoE scheme. At just over a year old and with very little wear 6 of the eyelets popped out. The guarantee was only for a year and due to lockdown I have not been able to return them to Millets. Looking at the reviews on this page others have experienced similar problems and Millets have not been helpful. I am very disappointed as I thought Brasher was a reputable brand.

Poor quality and warranty
I thought I would spend over a £100 on Brasher walking boots a couple of years ago so that they would last and over Christmas 2021 5 eyelets have popped out rendering the boots unusable. Took them back to Millets to complain and they said nothing can be done as purchased over 12 months ago. I would have taken them back sooner but the shop has been closed for 6 months. Very disappointed considering the brand reputation and price. I've probably only worn them a dozen times.

Awful, Awful, Awful
Surfed their website on April 8th for walking trouser that were in stock. Placed order same day. My order arrived on 19th April. Total joke in this day and age of competitiveness and high end customers service. I ordered recently from European and American retailers - both arrived within three days. Brasher is a dinosaur of a company and one wonders who the hell is running this company - more dinosaurs with little understanding of modern retailing???
Will not be using this company again; first they sell out a winning brand in the walking boot market and now they can't even run a website - shocking and a perfect example of how not to run a business.

Had a pair of Brasher boots for 20 years and replaced them 2 years ago.
3 eyelets have now broken which renders the new boots unusable and therefore not fit for purpose. Given the pandemic the boots have hardly been used in the last year. Contacted Millets who are not interested.
Just don't buy unless you are prepared to waste your money

Millets contacted me and asked me to return the boots to be checked which I have done. Unfortunately, after countless emails from their customer service asking for the same information every time I enquire about an update, I am of the considered opinion that Millets have a very disfunctional customer care set up as they are unable to read and understand the information that they are requesting.
I really believe that they have lost the boots as it cannot conceivably take nearly 8 weeks to complete their investigation into the faults.
Shame on you Millets!

AVOID ordering from this company. They are a complete disaster. I returned an item to them via post and they only refunded me the postage. When I contacted them they said they had no record of an item being returned and KEPT MY MONEY!

Had to use the credit card dispute procedure to get a refund
I ordered some shoes on 15th January and returned them on 19th January as they didn't fit. On 8th February Brasher sent me an email confirming receipt of the return. However, no refund was made to my credit card. After multiple email exchanges, and three separate phone conversations, there is still no refund. In each of the last two phone conversations, on 8th and 19th March, the customer service rep agreed that they had received the goods back and that Brasher had sent me the 8th February email confirming this. On both occasions they said they would send an internal email to have the refund made. Still no refund more than two months after returning the goods!
Update on 28th April: I have now received a refund but only thanks to the dispute procedure operated by my credit card provider. Do not be fooled by Brasher responding on Trustpilot to negative reviews saying they will take action. They didn't!

If customer service is important AVOID AVOID AVOID! This is not an honourable company! This is not the Brashers of old! This is Millets and their service sucks! I have a great pair of Brashers Country Master Walking boots that came warrantied like all Brashers boots. Trying to claim on that warranty with Millets is IMPOSSIBLE.
My boots were a gift from my Grandmother who passed away 18months ago. I do not have the receipt for the boots. I never had the receipt! But I have been repeatedly asked by 4 different customer service agents despite telling them my Grandma has died, for the receipt. I have told them the house has been cleaned out! ‘Do you have access to bank statements showing card payment?’ Are you serious Millets? No again! She’s dead! I just want my boots repaired or replaced! Well you’ll have to take them to the store and rely on the discretion of the store manager! Why? They’re warrantied!
Having recently bought gaitors online from Millets hassle free, I’m astounded at such appalling and callous customer service! I will never spend another penny with this company!

Absolutely appalling customer service
Absolutely appalling customer service, ordered two items in December, only received one. Countless emails from an appalling customer service team that keep saying they will investigate and no-one ever updates you. Now had to fill in a form, never EVER had to with other retailers, missed a tracking number and had to resend but apparently its in the incorrect space, totally disgusting service, will never use them again. Like others wished I'd seen these reviews beforehand, hindsight is a wonderful thing, and no I won't call you as I'm appalled by your email responses.

Awful Service
Like many other before me, wish I had read the reviews. I ordered a set of walking trousers and to date have not received them and after trying to trace my order and many phone calls cannot get any information from them. Their on line track and trace does not work. Still trying to get information. The only thing they are good a,t is taking the money from your account. It was taken out of my account immediately. Why is the money not taken out at the time of dispatch? Hopefully this review may prompt some action from them

Ordered a pair of women's walking boots and on arrival, spotted a notable blemish on one of the boots.
When I queried this with "Brasher" (said because the response was from their sister company Millets), I was offered to return them for a refund or keep them and offered 10% discount.
I would have liked a replacement pair but Brasher's site was showing out of stock. In email from Millets I was told they had stock and I could order a replacement pair. I was then told I couldn't because Brasher was showing as sold out and the stock was obviously coming from Millets. I refused to order from Millets as the boots were some £20+ more expensive than their so called sister company Brasher.
After a to and from on email, I checked again on Brasher's site to find the boots were in stock so ordered a second pair on 22/01 to avoid missing out.
I heard nothing from Brasher/Millets regarding this new pair for a good two weeks so decided to use the online query form.
It was then explained to me that the boots were never in stock and I could either wait to see if they replenished or cancel the order and have a refund.
I very much doubt that I would have been told this information had I not chased for it especially as the "customer service" advisor stated in her email to me that "The warehouse team will usually wait seven days for the item to come back into stock, if it doesn't the order will be cancelled."
Being as I had held back on returning the blemished pair until the replacements had arrived (in case I got the same pair back!), I asked Brasher/Millets if they would consider offering 15% back to me as a gesture of goodwill but this has been declined.
The first pair were ordered on 8th Jan so this saga has been going on for over a month.
I've had at least 5 different people reply on email to me and each one as careless as the other.
I have been messed about for over a month trying to rectify this and they just don't care. I've been out of pocket nearly £140+ at one point and they won't even consider £10 refund for the inconvenience.
I wouldn't shop with Brasher or Millets again and would advise my friends and family to avoid them completely also.

Wish I had read this company reviews first. 2nd order from this dreadful company ordered 8 items, waited over 2 weeks to be told 6 items were out of stock. All that arrived today was 1 item. Nobody has a clue what’s going on or cares in this company. No response from my previous complaint apart from a token TrustPilot reply. Don’t make my mistake AVOID this shambles of a company

Best avoided at all cost! I also placed an order early January for 5 items. Waited and waited for delivery until I got an email telling me 3 were cancelled. I then received 1 pair of socks out of the 5 items and had to place 5 telephone calls and numerous emails until I got the correct refund!
To be fair, possibly to be expected from a JD Sports company...

I bought a pair of walking boughts for my other half. Two days after ordering i get an email stating that my order had been canceled because they could not find stock.
However when i check the brasher website and other sites that are owned by the same parent company they all claim to have the stock.
Why they decied to cancel my order i have no idea but its definitely not because they dont have them in stock!
