I visited Bradbeers in Romsey with an old lady with poor mobility

I visited Bradbeers in Romsey with an old lady with poor mobility. The staff in the shoe shop, bedding and also the cafe were extremely kind and helpful, even producing a wheelchair, and made her morning's shopping very enjoyable.

I asked if they could help with a bra…

I asked if they could help with a bra fitting in the Romsey store, and I was told yes and asked to wait in a changing room, I waited 10 minutes and then another customer asked if she could help, she then reminded them I was there as I was partially dressed. They said they were coming, I waited another 10 minutes, partially clothed, then gave up and went home. A humiliating experience. If they were too busy why not just say so? It's not the best way to treat customers.

Bradbeers of Salisbury…

We went to Salisbury for the day last week and tripped across an amazing store! Fantastic quality store ,immaculately clean but most amazing were the Lady assistants beautifully dressed, amazing.
We live in Swindon in our 70s and would like to go back when sales are on,really would like to go to shop again!

Such lovely staff

I visited the Salisbury store today and had a lovely chat with the assistant on the Chanel counter about the new fragrance (which unfortunately you don’t stock). I then visited the YSL counter where Lauren colour matched me with several foundations and gave me samples to try. There was no pressure to buy, but I’ll definitely come back when the product I want is back in stock.

Naomi Fashion Manager Salisbury

I was in Bradbeers Salisbury on 17th May, and as always I find the staff very polite and helpful, but on this occasion, Naomi your Fashion Manager, went above and beyond. I had lost my gift voucher card, and I wanted to put some trousers I had bought on my gift card as I knew I had money still on it. She managed to get me a new gift card sorted and refund me my trousers, and then reinstate them on my new gift voucher, with the help of your IT department. She was brilliant. I still have £35 left to spend, so will be back in soon. Thank you again Naomi. Kind regards Jeanette Soloman.

REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE

My sister lives in New Milton and loves Bradbeers. When it was her birthday last year I phoned the store to see if I could buy her a gift card over the phone and have it sent to me at home in North Yorkshire. No problem, and I received it within a few days. Did the same again recently and it came the next day with no additional charge for the postage. The ladies that sorted it for me both times were so helpful and I can't thank them enough. Customer service at it's best. Look forward to visiting the store when I eventually get to New Milton.

Having brought a bespoke sofa set and…

Having brought a bespoke sofa set and been served well up to now we are so upset and disappointed as it was supposed to be delivered between 3 & 5 pm yesterday . We prepared for its arrival to get a phone call at nearly 5 pm telling us it was not coming now and we’d get a call Monday. How shabby is that. Nothing to sit on all weekend and had to cancel plans as guests couldn’t be expected to sit on the floor.

What a lovely department store

What a lovely department store. A fantastic addition to the square in Salisbury. I visited the ladies department; a breath of fresh air. Plenty of brand names but newer ones as well. It was lovely to see a great range of swimwear including larger sizes.
Lots of staff around to help I met a lovely assistant called Julie who was super friendly and helpful. Look forward to visiting again. The exterior of the store maybe needs a bit more kerb appeal to make it more inviting and clearer that it is a fabulous department store. Well worth a visit

L’Occitane hand cream

Visited Bradbeers this afternoon in Salisbury and the lovely Laura advised me on some amazing handcream.
She was so attentive and helpful.
She gave a natural approach to customer service and made me feel very welcome and comfortable.

Long long delays in delivery of orders

7 weeks, still not received the complete order, still waiting. Bradbeers, you have told me the delay is with the supplier. Why are you still stocking their goods? It's damaging your reputation. Disappointing.

Great furniture, fantastic team and service

From the initial enquiry and throughout the entire service lifecycle my experience was great.

I made an enquiry for rentals really close to Christmas I was surprised to find that this was not an issue and they worked with me to make sure that I was able to have the furniture in place before Christmas.

I had picked some items which were not in stock but the gentleman I was speaking to immediately offered other options and he very happily matched the original quotation.

What struck me was the willingness to facilitate the transaction nothing seemed like too much trouble.
On delivery there was an issue with one of the items of furniture. The crew were most apologetic and committed to return to base to pick up a replacement item and deliver and install on the same day. I was amazed as I have not experienced service like this in a very long time. I really did feel for them as it was a long way.

The did do exactly as they said they would but not only that to apologise they added 2 complimentary bed side tables. I did not have to ask for any of this.
All furniture in great condition not a dent or scratch and all well put together. One of the items was a bed and mattress which was very comfortable
The crew both on delivery and collection were very respectful of our space.
Fantastic organisation and team. Friendly, helpful and proactive. Thank you very much for a great experience.

Brilliant Bradbeers

Bradbeers provided a super service from start to finish. I visited their Hedge End store to look for a new bed. There was a huge range, and I benefited from Amgad's advice. It was so refreshing to speak to a sales person who wasn't in the slightest bit pushy, and I really appreciated that. When I telephoned the store to order my bed a couple of days later, the receptionist was very professional, and I was able to speak to Amgad to place my order. My bed needed to be made to order, I was advised this would take approximately 5-6weeks. My expectations were exceeded when I received a call less than a month later advise my bed was ready. Delivery was swift and within the time frame agreed. The delivery team were brilliant, so polite and professional. They took care both removing my old bed from my home, and putting the new bed together. My new bed is so comfortable and everything I hoped it would be. I would recommend Bradbeers to anyone - they have a good range of quality products, with fair prices and excellent customer service.

I was delighted that Bradbeers had opened in Salisbury, but having had a miserable experience in their restaurant I wrote to them via their customer contact form but did not receive a response.
I wrote again with a copy of my initial email but again it was not even acknowledged.

Cafe ..Not Good

Store is great but Cafe needs improvement..its not so classy as Romsey Smith and Bradbeers..they offer a choice of bread with their sandwiches..and they are delicous. My toasted cheese and ham sandwich was chewy.. My cuppacinno was only tepid and no chocolate on top..and cake was awful..meant to be lemon drizzle ..just a piece of sugary stodge! Needs a bit of finesse..especially if people are going to spend a lot of time looking around the store. I wouldn't hurry back there for food..and it's not waitress service..it was when they first opened.

Disappointing

Very pleased to have Bradbeers in Salisbury- much needed. However, disappointed with cafe - barely tepid cappuccino and mediocre scone - poor quality for the price. Ladies toilets in disgraceful state with all three available toilets blocked and full, also soggy paper littering the hand basins. Plumbing problems were frequent when Debenhams had the store. Surely this should have been a priority when refurbishment was being done and certainly should take priority over creating a champagne bar!

Wonderful shopping experience …

Bradbeers in Salisbury is a fabulous department store, it's clean and bright and a lovely welcome awaits you, big name cosmetics clothes and homewares a must visit also beautiful coffee shop upstairs although if you have limited mobility a lift is available.

Very disappointed to find that the…

Very disappointed to find that the bedframe we purchased ! The paint and lacquer has come off - at less than 2 years old you would expect a bedframe to last longer without deterioration.
Bradbeers do not sell these any further but the manufacturer does - clearly a manufacturing issue where it is not fit for purpose
Just goes to show you it's no different the more you pay.
Very unsatisfactory and would not use these again

Hi Steve, as your bed frame is nearly 2 years old it is outside the 12 month guarantee. Our customer services department is trying to source a replacement part, which is not our normal practice after this length of time, but we are willing to help. The replacement part would be free of charge to you. We are waiting for the manufacturer to come back to us which may involve a slight wait, but you are still able to use the bed frame in the meantime.

Bad Mattress

We bought a new bed and mattress from Bradbeers Southampton six months ago which cost us £1200.00, the mattress is a Millbrook heritage 2250 and went so lumpy and uncomfortable in the first week its impossible to get a good nights sleep and bradbeers is only willing to give us 20% off another mattress which will end up costing us at least another £500.00 this is totally unacceptable as I am 75 years old and can not afford more money. when we first complained they said it was due to natural settlement and we need to rotate it every week which is so heavy and this only puts my indentation to my partners side and hers to mine with a great hump down the middle which also looks unsightly when bed is made up. my last bed was 25 years old and was still as flat, even and comfortable as the day we bought it and the only reason I disposed of it was because we were moving to a new property. Bradbeers sent a bed technician twice saying the finding of 2cm sinkage (our measurements with string line were 4cm) was within their tolerance, one technician actually said to us he had a Millbrook mattress and you don't find a car mechanic with a bad car (who do you reckon he worked for) so no manufacturing fault was found, we went to the ombudsman with a letter and photos but they were useless in as much as they contacted Bradbeers and because the technician found no fault they said that there was nothing more they could do, waste of time, so the moral to this story is DO NOT BUY A MILLBROOK MATTRESS and certainly not from Bradbeers because if you have a design fault like ours they are just not interested.
