Very bad experience...

- I ordered a bottle on their website where in fact there was no stock..

- I had zero communication about what was going on and was expecting 24-48h delivery.
I had finally my bottle delivered 1 month later, with the bottle scratched and the box slightly damaged..

I would have expected a gesture of goodwill for this incovenience...

After having a problem with the number of delivered bottles I contacted Simone from the BOI-staff. By clearing the problem (always very fast reaction!) I've been promised of receiving a second deliver with an extra gift - even the failure hasn't been in the responsibility of BOI (but DPD).

Great selection of products, fast delivery and fast communication. I would give 5 stars if we didn't experienced only one big issue: after asking the invoice for abroad (multiple times) and having creating already 2 orders, it was explained by the customer service that in case of necessity of an invoice, the order needs to be delivered by chat (and it was very much clear since the first day when I requested the invoice with a foreigner VAT number).

The service of bottle of italy is perfect. The great variety of wines makes It sometimes hard to choose 😉 price/quality is very good. You should only take in consideration when ordering from abroad, shipment will come a few days later than as said on site.

Very efficient service , lovely wine but received a customs bill 5 months after delivery. The added cost made the wine expensive therefore sadly I will not be ordering again.

Everything was perfect
The product was great! The delivery was fast enough (it was outside of Italy), all the steps were communicated, so you are always aware where your packege is and what is the next step.

The lack of customer service and the impoliteness of this web shop is the worst I have ever experienced in dealing with any webshop. I wanted to place an order of Italian wines for more than 400 EUR, but they were simply not interested to accept and deliver the order and did not even bother to respond to multiple email reminders or to Whatsapp messages. If they already stop corresponding prior to order placement, then you can only ask yourself what will happen after you place an order and pay for it.

How can you trust this store with their after sale service?

Ordered a specific bottle to celebrate a relative's 50th birthday, who is also a collector of the brand and already has several designs.

Bottle received was not the design ordered ! Answer was "We were out of stock and replaced it" and...that's it!

Back in November I did a purchase of several bottles of wine on this website with international delivery to Poland. Price was very attractive due to the Black Friday discounts, but turned out to be not available, and as a customer I was confused and needed to do several follow ups until I got a refund of my money. A while after I was contacted again by the company, and they explained to me the situation, and offered to even if this wine was not anymore available, they could get hold of it and get it finally to me. After that everything was great, and today I got my secure box with the wine. It was not a perfect experience, but I value the effort to correct the situation, I think this personal touch and this customer care is something which is being lost in the recent years, and certainly they made a positive impact on me, and would definitely recommend and buy again!

Firstly the positives, B.O.I has an excellent product range of well priced wines, along with prompt & well communicated delivery via UPS. The range is far superior to UK wine merchants and supermarkets.
Sadly since Brexit, importing wine from mainland Europe (I have used French, German, Italian & Portuguese companies) has become extremely expensive. I presume that the "red-tape" and administrative costs have been passed onto the end user - in addition recent tax increases have clearly compounded the issue.
My recent order was for 12 bottles at a cost of £125.61 - the delivery cost £54.90 to the UK and tax / excise duties a further £89.62. So in effect the "extras" are more expensive than the wine itself.
Not sure if there is a solution, short of re-joining the EU (wishful thinking).
Wish I lived near the Channel - must still be a better deal to pop on the ferry and bring a few bottles back....
