BookReverb Has Informed Readers
BookReverb Has Informed Readers
BookReverb was highly recommended by other writers, so I put myself on the waitlist, unsure of what they offered, and the wait was worth it! I've submitted the first book for review, and the reviews were insightful and meaningful. I will be submitting the remainder of the series as they are available. BookReverb screens who is allowed in, so the readers are of a higher quality. This author is converted!
Have used the service for ARCs overall…
Have used the service for ARCs overall my experience has been good. Would recommend.

Wish we can rate reviewers to weed the fake ones out.
The system works great if your bid is competitive enough. The only downside is there is no accountability system for the reviewers on if they read. Some don't even get the basic details of the story accurate but try to share them anyway. I wish you could rate reviewers to weed out ones that don't actually read.
I've been using BookBounty for a month…
I've been using BookBounty for a month or so now, and it seems a. bit cheaper but it has a reciprocal system of getting points so you need to review books to get points so people read yours in addition to the $25 monthly fee. It has been a bit of work to do the reviews and try to keep doing my publishing. I finally tried BookReverb and within 2 hours, I had 8 readers reviewing my books. So fast and it seems like the better way so far, just cost per review.
So far so good
So far so good. I'm fired up about the future results. Quick, easy setup. Everything in plain language. I don't have all my books on yet, but I will in the future.
BookReverb has become my go-to source...
BookReverb is a platform I wish I had found earlier; however, I’m glad I found it when I did. Getting my book’s ARC (Advance Reader Copy) in front of as many readers as possible is extremely helpful to maximize potential reviews and book sales. I’ve used other platforms in the past, but BookReverb has become my go-to source for my book launches.
Great platform with fast, responsive customer service
I've had a great experience with BookReverb. The platform is easy to use and has genuinely helped me get more reviews for my books. What stood out the most was their customer service: every time I reached out with a question, they responded incredibly fast and were friendly and helpful. It's rare to find a company that reacts so quickly and really cares about its users. Highly recommended!

They are a great service that provides exactly what they say they will at an affordable cost and super easy to use.
After using BookReverb for 6 months…
After using BookReverb for 6+ months and 6 books, my recommendation is not as whole-hearted as it was for the first month. On the plus side: I get reviews filled almost immediately (it doesn't seem to matter whether I pay $6 or higher) and about 1/3 of those are well-thought-out descriptive reviews, whether they are mid or high-level ratings. On the negative side, the other two thirds of the reviewers have been divided between (a) people who give high ratings but their description shows that they never bothered to read the book, (b) people who obviously did not read the summary description and are mad that the book was not what they thought it was, (c) illiterate, nearly unintelligible reviews, (d) bigoted, offensive reviews (some of my books have an lgbtq focus), or (e) one sentence reviews that were cut & pasted from my summary description. Unfortunately, nothing seems to happen when you report these types of reviews. Maybe the reviewer is flagged somehow for future consideration? But there is no feedback from BookReverb staff, so who knows?
In any case, it still may be worth it for the 1/3 of thoughtful feedback that I get, but it is feeling less and less so as the percentage of low-quality reviews climbs.
I used BookReverb to help get my book…
I used BookReverb to help get my book in front of more readers and get honest reviews, and overall it was a solid experience. The site was easy to use, and I liked that it focuses specifically on connecting authors with people who are already interested in books, rather than just broad promotion.
It’s hard as a newer author to find readers outside your immediate circle, so having a place built around book discovery was helpful. It’s a useful tool if you’re trying to get more visibility and start building some traction.
Overall, I had a positive experience and would recommend it to other authors looking for more exposure.
Great experience in getting true…
