Just to clarify for accuracy: you did not use our cleaning services. Your interaction with us was limited to an initial enquiry and a phone call with one of our executive assistants.
Bonnie Brooms is an Edinburgh-based company, founded and owned locally, operating across Edinburgh and Glasgow. Our cleaning teams are 100% local, our manager is local, and we have a physical city-centre office with real, on-the-ground presence. Our accountant is Edinburgh based, and insurance company is Glasgow.
Like many modern businesses, we use executive assistants to help us respond promptly to enquiries and ensure every potential client is spoken to by a real human being. We currently have two assistants — one based in Edinburgh and one overseas — which allows us to maintain availability without compromising service quality. This is a common and widely accepted business practice.
We also offer phone-based booking support, including for clients with disabilities or those who prefer not to use online forms.
It’s worth noting that many everyday services people rely on — email providers, streaming platforms, banking apps — are not locally staffed at all. In that context, we believe a locally owned business with local teams, local management, and a physical office is still very much “local.”
