Very nice customer experience at the shop (Bolia Trondheim, Solsiden). Clearly top quality products. It is expensive but these items are designed to last for decades so it is totally worth it.

Great sofa, poor delivery

I appreciated all that Bolia has done throughout the sales process. It's been a nice experience, until the product was delivered. Bolias delivery partners where very unpleasant. Their stressed and annoyed attitudes made both me and my husband (who experienced the delivery process separately) disappointed/frustrated that we actually paid for the service! They were delivering a service that we paid for and we both experienced it quite negatively.

Another aspect, I remember thinking, "well, when we ordered sofas from xxxx, they set them up for you as part of the service, and I guess when you buy and have Bolia deliver it is just dumped on your floor and you're left with the mess to clean up... And the other delivery service was cheaper".

So, in our opinion, the delivery part of the shopping experience wasn't pleasant, which is quite unfortunate, especially since one part of the shopping experience can color everything....

Otherwise Bolia did a good job

Great service at the store, and at the pick-up point, but...

Disappointed though when I got home and had to assemble the legs to the chairs with 4 screws. The underpiece was so hard that that it took almost an hour to do one chair, and even then it was hard with an oridinary screwdriver to get the screws tight enough. Did not want to take a drill to it as it might damage the chair.

5 chairs yet to do and not looking forward to it :( Only negative, as I wasn't aware when I purchased the chairs I would have to assemble them.

Thank you for a great review, even though the information about how the chairs would be delivered could be better.

We have to send the legs seperate so avoide transport damages. That is the main reason why/if our customers has to assemble their product(s).

quality of producys and employees

Besides beeing satisfied with the products i've bouht, the pleasent help from the ladies in the shop, the best ever. Though the price on the furnitures are in the upper level, the quality fullfill my expectations.

Cirque de Bolia....A circus of disaster!!!

Wow...where to begin!! After going into their showroom in Oslo my fiancee and I were recommended a Scandinavian model sofa from their warehouse that we were assured was as new and only had been damaged on the underside of the sofa. As there was a 50% sale on at the time we were not sure about it (we should just get a new one) but decided due to the reassurance of the staff that if the damage was as suggested it would be fine. So here is when the circus begins...

We drive 45 min each way to collect the unit which was fully sealed and unable to be inspected unless we destroyed the protective wrapping but shown where the damage was which turned out to be as we were told so we left happy.

However when we got home and sat on the unit it felt very soft...so we unpacked the sofa bed to discover there is no mattress. We call Bolia who assure us that the mattress is supposed to be there and reply by saying that they can not locate it anywhere!! Unhappy they offer us a new one...which they say will ONLY TAKE 4 WEEKS TO DELIVER!!

I explain that the whole reason we bought it was for my family to sleep on and now after all the difficulty of removing the old one, renting a van, collecting, and getting the new one into the apartment I have a sofa we CAN NOT EVEN SIT ON! she suggests we return the unit for a refund and i laugh that her suggestion is for me to spend more MONEY to take another day off work and rent a van again taking the unit back again.

After some discussion and some strong words of utter outstanding shock
that a company like Bolia does not have spares of this kind to foresee possible supply chain problems we are offered a voucher as compensation and we wait ONLY TO BE CALLED A MONTH LATER TO BE TOLD THEY HAVE STUFFED UP AGAIN AND IT IS ANOTHER MONTH AWAY....FOR A MATTRESS!!!

I am utterly disappointed with almost every aspect of Bolia's service and if the sofa was not such a pain to return I would have because their attitude towards customer service is poor at best despite their facade of apologies and vouchers that end up equating to more money in their pocket!!! What can i get with the voucher they gave me...an Iphone case and a glass!!!! Ridiculous. After the second stuff up i was initially told i would get money back but then was sent an email with another voucher for 300NOK!!!! To buy what??? I don't want to spend more I just want my mattress that i have already paid for!!! I have left feeling cheated and robbed as we should have just bought it new and it probably would have arrived quicker and only cost a fraction more.

All i can say is after this is, anyone considering Bolia (if we ever do get our mattress), think again. Otherwise you better hope and pray that they can get it right...But judging from the comedy of errors we have encountered, i doubt it. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

Love for design

You can even smell the passion for design; furniture, carpets, pillows and accessories walking in to an Bolia-shop.

And the best part is the Outlet; a place where students or people with a smaller income can ENJOY a little bit of design heaven.

Good

the only problem was when we picked up the chair, and was given one wrong package of two.
Luckily we live quite near the building where we pick up the furniture. It was a very busy day at the warehouse.

Buying a new Recliner.....

Passed by the Shop at Sørlandssenteret late March this year, my favorite chair was on sale...less 40%!! I bought right away!!

The Sales Person had the knowledge, she was supportive and efficient.

What the contract said was fullfilled....and now I am a Happy Owner of A FANTASITC TV CHAIR......good for afternoon nap to!!

Poor payment procedure

Doesn't help to have a good product if you make your customers annoyed by having strange and cumbersome payment procedure. No one else that I know about in your business ask for 100% payment when ordering. I don't have the time to do a credit check on your company before paying up front and for all I know you could be bankrupt tomorrow and a total loss to me as a customer. When asking for a partial payment up front, a prolonged and tiresome discussion was necessary and at the end I had to use 2 different credit cards to make it work.
