While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Just a Data Grab - Shady

My gym had one of these installed recently. I was intrigued, so I gave it a go after a workout. First off, you need to sign up for an account before you can use it, but they ask for a lot of data about you. Age, height, weight, name, d.o.b, email etc… So I used one of my anonymous emails that came with my vpn. I thought what’s the worst that can happen. Signed up, did the test, and got an email with my results. Couldn’t see the test results on screen, the buttons were slow and not working. So I thought I’ll have a look when I get home. Opened the email only to see you can’t access the results unless you download an app. Tried looking for an online portal but all links lead to a blank page, it’s like they’re forcing you to download the app. All too good to be true, if it’s free, you’re the product. Shady tactics, not a fan thanks.
