Our guides were a TEN! Dimitris and Esther were fabulous, fun, engaging, personable, adaptable, friendly, kind and knowledgeable. Their communication skills and patience with our group was commendable.
The boat was an issue and thus my 4 star instead of a 5. Our room was fine-an upper deck cabin for two people with working AC, no weird smells and no leaks. Others on the boat had some issues. One cabin was given two nights at a hotel rather than the boat as it was warm. The boat overall was ok. We felt as though it could use some TLC. There were plenty of lines strung about the boat to hang laundry. Each room had one outlet.
The five crew members were attentive to our needs-this included the captain, engineer, chef, boat maid and sailors.
The actual tour itinerary through the islands had to be amended due to weather. As a result, some of the rides in the GPS app were not applicable. This was a concern for group members who wanted to venture out on their own. Our safety was a priority not the app or the routes. Flexibility is the key.
The food was plentiful and good. We were amazed at what the chef could do in such a small kitchen. Breakfasts were yogurt, fruit, bread, eggs, cheese, granola and multiple toppings including honey, Nutella and olive oil! Lunch and dinners were varied with Greek salads, other cold offerings, soup one day, meats or casseroles, bread, fish cooked on a little grill and often fruit for dessert.
We had fun evening activities with our guides-I don’t want to list them as every guide pair may be different. Suffice it to say, a good time could be had by all!
The general packet we received before we left was not specific to our boat, the Panagiota. We had WiFi, we could drop our luggage hours before embarkation and leave them for a bit on the day of disembarkation.
I was surprised that the 3 regular bike riders did not seem to be aware of the height gradient that the rides had. They did not join us on all of the rides for that reason. This is not an easy ride due to the height differentials. E-bikes are the way to go unless you are a super rider. The rides were not long in terms of kms cycled or hours on the bikes. The views were lovely, hairpin turns abounded and down hill rides were invigorating!
Booking and communication was excellent.

Traveling to new areas by bike is the best, coupled with a nice place to call home for the week! The boat. Great food and plenty of it! Wonderful hosts made for a very memorable trip. Yes the water level was low and changed the trip slightly, but this made no real difference in the experience!

We had a wonderful time. The crew was great, better than crews on the 6-Star lines I’ve experienced. The bike tours were all well designed and gave us great insights into the people and culture of Belgium and the Netherlands.

Beautiful boat, fabulous food, great crew. Boated from Dubrovnik to several islands where we had rigorous (hilly!) bike rides (on ebikes). Stopped for several amazing swims. Group of 29 e-bikers and 2 crew. Loved the beauty, food, people, and amazing history of Croatia. This is our second trip with Boat and Bike, highly recommend. Great way to get off the beaten bath and see towns, cities and countryside.

Our hosts on the boat were great as were the crew. What we did not like was the excessive 30 Euro per person surcharge for fuel especially as we only covered 1/3 of our planned sailing distance due to unfavourable sea conditions.

We had an amazing experience from start to finish! The entire crew was knowledgeable, personable, and went above and beyond to make our trip special. The chef’s meals were absolutely five-star—every meal was delicious and beautifully prepared.
The ride leaders were fantastic and truly made this trip unforgettable. They were attentive, helpful, and made sure everyone had a wonderful time. The boat was clean, comfortable, and in excellent working order.
Overall, it was an incredible trip with an outstanding crew. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Our 2nd trip with Boat and Bike tours, and we loved it! The boat was comfortable, the bikes were great, the guides and crew amazing!

We had a wonderful time on the Magnifique III rolling down the Moselle River from Cochem to Metz. The crew was great, friendly from Captain of the ship to the room service. The daily activities were very well organized and communication in general was very good. Fortunately, the Ride with GPS routes were flawless so were able to spin off the large group of riders and ride independently at our own pace which otherwise was too slow for our liking. There was only one activity we missed since we were riding independently because the ride leader opted to change the schedule of a museum visit without advance notification. Ah well. The meals were excellent, with one dinner main dish exception. The duck breast was very tough, to the point where noons could cut through it. It was more like a breast of gristle. Otherwise, everything was masterfully done. And the room service was wonderful; all crew members were fantastic, ready to please you at every turn.

The rental bikes, although new, were extremely heavy, heavier than others we’ve rented on similar bike and barge trips.

One other thing I’d like to mention: the beds are very comfortable but very narrow. So you have to be prepared for this when you sign up for this trip.

All in all, we enjoyed this tour and are very happy we went.

The biking experience- being led through the countryside, along the ocean and into historic towns by friendly, knowledgeable guides. The sailboat and ship crew and were amazing.

The tour guide Georgie was very entertaining, witty and funny so the bike ride was very enjoyable. Silvia and Fabio did an excellent job in preparing the delicious food everyday. Danielle our boat captain had keep us safe throughout the journey and this team had delivered an exceptional service to the guests. They work as a team in all aspects of the journey.

Loved the boat and the guides! The guides did a great job to make sure our vacation was not a disappointment when the route was changed due to the wind and when we had to leave the boat mid-trip because repairs were required. They went above and beyond to make sure our trip was a happy experience. It was a fantastic trip. Great rides, swim stops and food too

Great ship and great support for the week

The guides were excellent as were the boat, captain, crew, and food. The rides and boat travel covered beautiful scenery and fascinating destinations. I would have enjoyed an option to do longer rides. The great group of fellow travelers added to the enjoyment of the trip.

Itinerary was great, app worked great. Bikes performed as expected.

This is our second trip with Boat Bike tours and it as before was a ton of fun. Everyone was friendly and ready to help. The captian was very friendly however was somewhat short with his crew from time to time. He needs to learn to keep his cool and criticize his employees in private not in front of the guests.
Will without a doubt take another trip and will recommend it to others.

Our time biking on, and boating to, the Aeolian Islands was magical and all we could have hoped for. The setting was beautiful, the water warm, the boat comfortable, and the espresso and Aperol spritzers plentiful! What made the experience most memorable, though, was the crew and the guide. Andrea did a wonderful job of leading each day's adventure, whether it was a bike ride around one of the islands, or a hike to see an erupting volcano. He was always one step ahead of us thinking about how he could make the time special, while keeping us all safe and comfortable. He was very knowledgeable about all the islands and shared that information throughout our time. The Captain and his son & daughter (who were part of the crew), were always pleasant, courteous, helpful, and competent. Our cook, Augustino, was brilliant with the food that he masterfully created from his small kitchen below deck. He made delicious seafood dishes for the passengers who enjoyed fish, and meat dishes for those who preferred this. Once he learned that we enjoyed coffee cake for breakfast, he began making it each day. He put his love and skill into each dinner, and knowing he truly cared about how much we enjoyed it, made us appreciate it all the more.

Also, we learned a couple days before we arrived, that the company was providing a new boat for us (because of some mechanical issues with the initial boat we were slated to use). The company handled this transition with competency and good communication.

This was our 4th time with Bike/Boat tour company, and not our last! We look forward to planning our next trip with them, and will begin reviewing the fantastic options.

We had a fabulous time. The boat was clean and comfortable. When water levels of the Rhine meant revamping our route, the crew and tour leaders handled it professionally and with grace. We loved biking along the Moselle River and through the villages. Beautiful scenery and the weather was perfect!

The Food on the boat was great as was the eBike.
However, I was put on a table with German speaking people, rather than English speaking people. So I chose to ride with a group who spoke English.
But the navigation while cycling on most days was difficult.
