Greatest trip in Eiði
It was a greatest experience in Eiði! Our captain Samson was responsible and enthusiastic! We had a good time with fishing (we got 9 cods and haddocks) and sightseeing (The giant and the witch, Tjørnuvík and some beautiful caves). During the trip, Samson, as a local, told us many interesting facts about Faroe Islands. He also help us to take many nice pictures!
Highly recommended!

We had a lovely day and a lot of fishing! Recomend this trip to everybody who likes fishing, wild life experience and nature.
After we had a great sightseeing in Hvannasund and tasty dinner with the very welcome and warm family.

We had a wonderful fishing trip with Samson. Samson has wealthy knowledge of fishing in Faroe Islands. We all caught large fishes and had lots of fun! We took our caught back to our Airbnb and had an amazing dinner. I also enjoyed chatting with Samson about Faroe live and local history, learned some fascinating facts about Faroe Islands.

Samson provides tours that are at once informative, active, casual, and personal. This may sound contradictory, but it is not! His warmth turned what could have been an anxious experience for a single traveller, into a life changing one. I highly recommend his services! Takk fyri!

Online booking of the fishing trip was very easy - as the locations are not far away from each other, it was not a problem to find a spot matching to the date I wanted to go fishing. Our trip was out of Hvannasund.
When arriving there, everything was prepared by Samson, the captain and boat owner. The boat (wonderful traditional wooden Faroer fishing boat) was ready on the water. We got our boots, overall and life vest. It felt very safe, clean and warm, so the preparation was perfect. Being a fishing novice, Samson explained how to use the fishing rods and off we went. Weather was great (what added great views to the fishing experience) and Samson picked (taking into account waves, currents, wind and weather) a spot close to the little abandoned village of Mula for fishing - and in an instant we caught fish and fish and fish. Cod and haddock, so many, we could let the smaller ones swim and just keep the big ones. When we had enough that everybody would get a good big meal that evening, we had a great sightseeing tour along the coast back to the harbour.
After arriving there, Samson cut out fillets for everyone and so I (proudly) brought a good amount of freshest fish fillet back to the place , where I stayed. Best meal ever!
All in all a great experience, safe and a lot of fun . Don't miss!

I booked a fishing trip because I had an extra day to spare in The Faroe Islands. I didn’t expect it to be such an amazing and relaxing experience. Out in the open on a small boat makes you feel one with nature. It was nice to slow down for a few hours, listen to some incredible stories about the islands history and catch some quality fish. Samson was my guide and he really showed passion for his country, fishing and giving me a unique experience. Thank you!

We had an amazing day! Within minutes we caught our first fish! Samson was a great gide who knew everything about fishing and about the environment. We fished at different places and catshed different types of fish with different techniques.
After the fish trip , the fish was freshly prepared based on local recepies.
After the delicious meal we got a tour trough the village, so we learned some things about the culture and habits of the locals.
We would definitely recommend a trip with boat.fo and Samson!

We were on a family fishing trip. We had a great time. The trip was professionally organized. Our host - Samson - turned out to be a lovely man. He amused us with various stories about the fjord where we fished and where he spent his holidays in his young years. We caught lots of fishes. We visited various magical places, including caves. I definitely recommend the tour and Samson.

Amazing trip and guide! Highly recommended

We booked a half day fishing trip around Hvannasund. The trip was very well organized (hot coffee and cake!) and Samson was a REALLY great guide. Patiently answered all my tedious questions. 😄 We felt very welcome.

Oh, and we caught a lot of fish (4 different species).

Me and my family (5 people) had a wonderful afternoon on a boat tour from Eidi. The boat was a beautiful traditional open Faroeboat that our nine year old was very pleased to help steer. We fished and caught some haddock. We also visited a natural cave and the bay of Tjörnsvik. During the 4 hour trip it was very much our choice how much fishing and how much sightseeing we wanted to do. The captain and owner was a very kind and helpful man and he made sure that everybody on the boat caught fish and plenty of it. He brought picknick with nice sandwiches, pastry, tea, coffee and water. He also took photos and shared them with us on Dropbox. Eventually we brought home five haddocks that we cooked like fish and chips. It was so fresh and delicious! Oh, don´t forget to bring a few whole plastic bags with you, to bring home the fish in. ;-)
