⚠️ WARNING

⚠️ WARNING: LIFE-THREATENING INCIDENT AND TOTAL DENIAL OF RESPONSIBILITY – OCTOBER 2024
I am writing this review to issue a grave warning to anyone considering a stay at Bluesun Hotel Bonaca in Bol. In October 2024, a group of approximately 30 Danish guests were sent on a high-speed boat transfer towards Split, arranged through the hotel/their partners. This resulted in a catastrophic accident that the hotel has since done everything in its power to ignore.

The Accident and Gross Negligence:
The boat was operated in total defiance of maritime safety laws—sailing only about 20 meters from the coastline (where regulations require a minimum distance of 300 meters). As a result, the boat crashed into the rocks at high speed. All 30 passengers were injured to varying degrees, and several had to be rushed to the hospital in Split with serious injuries.

A Scandalous Aftermath:
Since the accident in October, the hotel’s management has shown a shocking lack of empathy and accountability:

Zero Assistance: The hotel has done absolutely nothing to follow up with the injured guests or provide any form of support.

Denial of Liability: They refuse to take any responsibility for the transportation they facilitated themselves.

Cover-up: Local authorities appear to be downplaying the incident. The official police report has mysteriously "disappeared" from the local police records, which strongly suggests a cover-up to protect local interests over tourist safety.

The Consequences:
Many of us are still suffering from physical injuries and severe psychological trauma (PTSD) following this accident. It is unforgivable that a hotel of this size can look its guests in the eye and then completely abandon them after a potentially fatal incident.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Your safety means nothing to Bluesun Hotel Bonaca if something goes wrong.

Ulykken:
Under vores ophold arrangerede hotellet transport for ca. 30 danske gæster i en hurtiggående båd med en lokal kaptajn. Kaptajnen sejlede groft uansvarligt og i direkte strid med søloven (ca. 20 meter fra kysten, hvor man skal holde mindst 300 meters afstand). Det resulterede i, at båden sejlede direkte på grund med høj fart.

Konsekvenserne:

Personskader: Samtlige gæster kom til skade i større eller mindre grad. Flere måtte indlægges på hospitalet i Split.

Mén: Mange af os kæmper i dag med både fysiske skader og psykiske eftervirkninger (traumer/PTSD) efter ulykken.

Hotellets og myndighedernes svigt:
Det mest rystende er efterspillet. Hotellet har absolut intet gjort for at hjælpe de tilskadekomne gæster. De fralægger sig ethvert ansvar for den transport, de selv har faciliteret. Samtidig oplever vi en dybt kritisabel ageren fra de lokale myndigheder; politirapporten er på mystisk vis "blevet væk", og sagen forsøges tydeligvis dysset ned.

Hvis du værdsætter din og din families sikkerhed, så hold dig langt væk fra dette hotel. De prioriterer profit og lokale partnerskaber højere end deres gæsters liv og førlighed.
