Not cheap but worth the cost as it works really well

The company themselves and their support team seem great, but the product just isn't (Edge fit). The way the blind is secured is two screws through a flimsy bit of plastic into another flimsy bit of plastic that is nailed (why?) to the recess, so while the blind is up and working, ill be amazed if it still is in a year. Beyond that, no matter how hard you try, you are going to have tiny gaps at the bottom, so dont expect full blackout, although it is pretty good in that regard.
The entire fitting system is ill conceived in my opinion and is a big part of the issue here. The recesses in most houses are not going to be perfectly straight, and that leads to its own issues because the fitting kit doesnt have any ability to adjust in and out, just up and down. Then you have the securing mechanism for the rails at the bottom, which is two screws straight into your window sill. All the plastic housing that screws go near is like cheese, and will break as soon as you look at it. This is made worse because the positioning of both sets of retaining screws are a nightmare to position a screwdriver into, so if your screw goes off at an angle you can expect broken plastic. Beyond this, the instructions arent always very clear. The description of the two types of screws is a bit of a guess. It says rawl plugs are present but they arent, and arent mentioned in any of the directions. Instructions like "Align the guidedogs and press firmly. Ensure the casette is secure before removing hands" dont make sense, because there is no mechanism for this to be secure until you add the screws 4 steps later. The entire casette can just fall out. It doesnt click into place, and it isnt made clear at any point if that is expected. Anyway, I was using this as a trial run before buying for two other upstairs rooms, but I ordered a different type at blinds2go instead. So to sum it up, I think the idea is great but the way the blind is mounted leaves a lot to be desired.

Blind didn’t fit but had taken so long to arrive we made adjustments to the space to accommodate it.
Light comes in from top line as rubber strip is too narrow. Similar problem at the bottom with an inadequate strip and the sides have inadequate brushes.

My wife has complained for years if there is any light in the bedroom. I've tried black out foils to some effect, but not enough.
The BlocOut blinds have been a great success! No light gets past them.
Having, in the past, measured for roller blinds and got is very wrong I was pleased to have the option of insuring against my measurements being wrong - they weren't.
Even though I ordered the blind just before Christmas they arrived in record time. Fitting was relatively simple and they look good now they are in place and doing the job.

Absolutely LOVE my new black out blinds and when they say black out these blinds are that black out you can’t see your hand in front of your face you literally have to turn a light on or use your phone torch to see where you’re walking they ain’t heavy to install the only constructive criticism I have is the insulation yes it does come with instructions however it is still tricky I do think there should be a QR code to scan and there be a step by step online instructions with detailed pictures or even a video of insulation as that would of made it a lot easier for us as I’m neurodivergent and dyslexic so things like this are difficult for me hence why I prefer videos or proper pictures other than just reading an instruction like “slide part A into part B and use one screw to secure it” other than that I will absolutely be buying more BlocOut blinds and have recommended them to family and friends

The product is very high quality, easy to install and easy to use. Customer service was fantastic and answered my query promptly. Delivery on time.

Our quality of sleep has improved significantly. The blackout really is black - so much that I now have to set my alarm to wake up rather than being woken at dawn by the light pouring through the window.

Two things to point out but not a criticism - you cannot leave your windows open; it creates a vacuum and the breeze pulls the blind from the side rails. You MUST measure accurately to the mm, or it will be difficult to fit perfectly.

Our blackout blind is working well and of good quality. We had experience installing a Velux version but this one has to fit in a window recess, so we had to be super accurate when measuring for them to cut to size. Our recess is also not exactly square, but within their tolerance, and it needed a little care when installing. It’s now dark and warm. Happy with results.

We are very pleased with our blind. We have installed it in our toddler’s room and he is sleeping very well! We watched a few videos online to check we were installing it correctly and it all worked well and are happy with the fit.

We ordered in the Hibernation Sale and after a week was told not to expect before Christmas break.
Dispatched and arrived after Xmas break. For two nightshift workers it's an absolute game changer!

We love our BlocOut blinds! They give our children the total darkness they need to sleep peacefully, even in the summer when days are long and the sun rises early. Measured the window as described, and triple checked the measurements. As the recess is 10mm out from the bottom to the top, the blind was supplied at the smallest size, meaning that it was too small at the top
