Safe very polite hard working could not have been happier

Both Miles and Jeff were excellent. They were curious and careful. They made sure items were wrapped well and secured.

Moving is supposed to be stressful, but not this stressful. Before they even showed up, I was worried because you really don't know what it will cost to move. It is all an estimate and hourly rate. Both crews just did not really care about any of my belongings at all. I have so much damage to furniture and broken items due to the careless packing and stacking of boxes and lack of covering on my furniture. It felt like they were there because they needed the work, but were not respectful of my property at all, even when I mentioned it to them. It was the most unprofessional company I have worked with ever. I have used a local company for all my moves since I was in my 20s and I am now in my 60s, and I went with Black Tie because of a recommendations from a trusted friend and I thought they were a local business. Both were wrong. I should have used the old tried and true. I have learned a valuable lesson the very hard way.

The move went well with a few exemptions. Worker scratched refrigerator door and entry door. They had technical difficulties with my adjustable bed. Worker was very polite and worked at a steady place until the end of the job.

The team of Devon and Kyle made it great! They work hard, are very pleasant and mannerly. They did not break anything and were willing to put items where they belonged. However, their manager Mason was not very helpful. He would not come out and look what we had or how large our apt. was. Therefore, our price was raised $600 from what was quoted originally.

The crew who came to help pack us and load, taking home goods to storage were incredible. And they did it all in the horrible heatwave in Texas. How they were able to fit everything in our 10X20 storage unit, I have no clue, but they did! On time, professional, careful with our things, and the 3 of them worked as a team.

One thing to be mindful for - once things were in the storage unit their office called for payment right away, and do ask if you want to live a tip. I was totally OK with this as those guys really worked as a team.

I was told I would get a final detailed invoice and thought I did not. I was frustrated as I had to ask several times. I was sent another email which took me to a page that said contract. Today from that page I clicked on estimate. That is where all of the detailed information was. That was confusing for me, and wanted to share.

Overall, it was a positive experience and appreciate everything they did for us.

This is the second time I’ve used Black Tie Moving and they made a stressful day much easier for me. They take a lot of safety measures ensuring nothing would get broke or scratched. Arrived on time and were very courteous.

We did not have a good experience with Black Tie Movers. They failed to plan the move well and sent too few people, too few supplies and a too small truck. They didn't finish the move in time and we were left to do the remaining items on our own. Their communication was poor and when we contacted them we were told several times that this was our fault. The movers themselves were lovely and worked hard but I think at the corporate level they have some real issues. Also, they charged us nearly double what they had estimated. I can't recommend using them.

Black Tie Dallas Movers was one of the best decisions that I have. They were very polite and very hard-working people that I have ever worked with. They had two 26’ box trailers that were packed full and moved in one day. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing to be out in a hurry. Thank you very much guys you did me a great job.

I would like to file a formal complaint against Cody and the moving team for my recent service. Cody underestimated me for weight and cost, I suspect to just get my business to turn around and upcharge for everything. The underestimation for weight was grossly shy of what I needed to have moved. The packing team did not fully pack me, they did not arrive with the necessary packing materials, took over 12 hrs in total over two days to pack me and load the truck. Two of my companies upper management came to my rescue along with the owners wife so that I could get out in a timely manner but I was still late. I even had packing materials on hand that did not get used including a tv box and packing blankets. I suspect that they did not use them just so they could charge me an exorbitant amount. I am thoroughly dissatisfied with Cody actions and attitude toward trying to find me a solution to my underweight problem. He offered nothing and blamed me. He should have erred on the side of caution and quoted me for two trucks or recommend a van line. Now Cody is saying that it was all my fault, that I did not ask for packing services when I definitely did because I have broken my back a few times and cant bend too much or lift a lot.

I couldn't be more pleased. Everyone involved was first-rate, accommodating and did what they said would do in helping me move furniture from two locations to the destination. The staff was friendly, well-trained and professional.

Black Tie did a great job, and took care of everything! From the first contact to having our move completed, they thought ahead, came prepared, and were careful with our belongings, AND the homes.

My Black Tie Moving Company experience was 5 Star. It started with the movers. Professional kindness and courtesy upon arrival set the stage. Then they went to work and all concerns I had went away. They were so careful with my property. And the 'Team' work between them throughout my move was admirable. I knew myself and my property was their priority for the day!
