Honestely a great company ! When we had some question they answered more quickly than expected. That was crazy ! And of course the car and all options we rented, were usefull and in good state. We appreciated to have all the stuff paid for.
Important things, all check-in and check-out were performed alone. So easy to manage wathever the time your flight is you can manage it easily 😀
That's made the difference.

Wonderful little company, very easy going, helpful and friendly staff. Quick response to emails. Great car, dacia duster camper. We slept wonderful in comfy sleeping bags and awesome pillows. Great experience, we will definitely come back! Highly recommended.❤️

I had a really great experience BSC. I rented a 4x4 Duster and it really contained everything they said it would! From the sleeping bags to the kitchen gear. If anything I think it was a bit overwhelming with all the information emails I got from the day I booked the car till I stood in Reykjavik. If that information process could be reduced in some way, that would be awesome. It could have spared me some time looking for specific emails in my inbox.

I rented a Dacia Duster equipped with a sleeping setup in the back seat/trunk area. I had originally selected an older model. As that model was not available at the time of pickup, I was provided with a more recent model featuring a rooftop tent. This effectively gave us the option of sleeping either in the rooftop tent or inside the vehicle on the rear seat/trunk platform. I would like to express my appreciation for this pleasant upgrade.

Additionally, the vehicle sustained damage, most likely caused by a third party while parked. This was, of course, reported by the rental company when I returned the car. I was completely unaware of the damage and had not noticed whether it was already present or not. I have exchanged several emails with the rental company to clarify that I did not cause the damage. However, it is correct that the responsibility ultimately lies with me as the renter. As I did not take out additional insurance coverage, the repair costs are therefore being charged to me. A valuable piece of advice: consider taking out additional insurance coverage!

Throughout our communication, the rental company has made every effort to handle the damage claim in the best possible manner. I will attempt to recover the costs through the insurance coverage associated with my credit card.

I give this company my highest rating due to the well-maintained vehicle I received, the complimentary upgrades, and the very smooth and friendly communication throughout the entire process.

We rented a Dacia Duster with a roof top tent, but unfortunately the tent was moldy and unusable throughout our trip. We reported the issue after the rental because the mold only became apparent late on the first day, after driving over 12 hours and setting up camp far from the rental location.

The company responded politely but downplayed the mold, claiming it was only in small areas and could appear quickly. They offered a discount on a future rental, but no compensation was provided for the unusable tent or additional accommodation costs. While their communication was professional, the main feature we paid for was not usable, which significantly affected our experience.

Although they mentioned they could have provided another vehicle, this would have been impractical given our distance and tight schedule. A partial refund would have been a fair solution and likely less costly for the company than replacing the vehicle.

Very good people. Communicative and flexible. Car was great and sleepin in it was Ideal. Highly recommended!

We even extended our rental for one more day because we were so happy.

We really appreciated doing the check-in and check-out at the BSI instead of the airport, we actually preferred this option. The whole process was super easy, and the team replied very quickly whenever we needed something.

Maybe just one small point for improvement: the kitchen utensils could have been cleaner. But we didn’t really use them since we had brought our own.

The sleeping bags were great, and the car was just perfect. We were not cold at all.

Absolutely perfect for a few days on a road trip.

We rented the older Subaru and it was perfect for two of us. Made navigating the southern coast a breeze and at such an affordable price. Everything we needed was included and pick/drop off was well communicated.

The car rental process was very easy and all informations were provided on time. The company was very responsive if there were any questions regarding the process and we had a really great experience during our trip!

Great experience. Car was waiting for us, clean and all the items we rented were waiting in the car. Enjoyed the car. I recommend camping for sure! Great setup inside car to car camp and camp sites easy to navigate in Iceland.

I rented a Dacia Duster 4x4 as I knew I was driving up to the Highlands and heard about the exciting types of roads I might be experiencing. The car handled the roads like a champ. The Ring Road is the only guaranteed paved road in Iceland, but if you are not used to different types of unpaved roads you will think at first" should my car sound like this?". Yes, it is fine folks. The car did have the tire pressure sensor on upon pick up, but I know many vehicles have this issue pop up from time to time. I was in communication with BSC and Indi the first couple days as they wanted to make sure everything was running smoothly. Great personal customer service! My only recommendation would be to leave a tire pressure gauge tool in the glove box. When I filled the tires with air, I didn't have a way to check the PSI. FYI- air hoses are at most gas/petrol stations and Iceland does not charge you for putting air in your tires (unlike America) Bonus!

We reserved older models so we knew there could be an issue. And indeed one of our cars was leaking. But the guys were very quick and got us a new car and even offered us extra sleeping bags and tables. They were very nice and kind.

Therefore, we are very happy with the service and the cars did what they had to do.
The pick up and drop off was very easy and convenient as well! :)

We had a great time with a Dacia Duster including camping facilities. The car is great. Moved us through Iceland without any problems. Sleeping inside was close to luxury :). The staff was very helpful in one situation we needed them. Thanks a lot and we would book black sheep any time!

Rented the Subaru Legacy Automatic 4×4 for a couple of days. Old car with a lot of experience but still going strong and luxury. Perfect car to spend the night in during bad weather or for stealth camping. Complete with cooking set, ready to go. Quick and responsive communications, easy pick-up and return and excelent KEF service. Only one point of improvement: personally I think the Platinum Insurance option (ads 45% to the rental price) is overpriced for such an old car...

Great experience with the black sheep campers! We had an oder Ford Explorer which was the perfect car for us to see Iceland. Camping equipment and roof tent were in very good conditions and when we had a question the people of bsc, they answered very soon. Thank you!
Sleeping bags are warm (it was quite cold in June) and inside the roof tent it was dark as night :)
It was also comfortable to sleep in the car, when the wind was too strong!
We plan to come back to Iceland in the next years - of course we go with bsc again!

Great overall solo trip with a Subaru camper car. Everything was as expected from clean car to fast responses to questions. Would rent again.

We rented the 2007 subaru and it was good. The car is old but works perfectly fine and when we didn’t know how to drive it; the company helped us instantaneously by responding to our emails. One thing, you can not connect your phone to the car to use audio . You need to bring a vent mounted phone holder. The cups needed to be replaced that were provided to us. The company was a little late sending us the bus vouchers but they sent it shortly after we emailed

We (my husband and I) rented a Dacia duster with a camping kit. Totally fine for our 13 day trip around ring road/west fjords. Sleeping bags were warm, bed was as comfortable as expected, Camping kit had all our needs, minus the gas stove. Reached out to the company and got quick responses. They gave us options to find a replacement and offered a refund. I have yet to receive a refund for that purchase despite sending over the receipt for the purchase. Without counting the trouble with the stove, I have no complaints. The company is apparently new and still ironing things out I suppose. Also had communication problems in the beginning but not blaming the company for that, but that we used northbound to book instead of directly booking through BSC. Also you CANNOT drop off at the airport only the Reykavik bus station, we chose to return at KEF on Northbound but BSC only does pick up/return at BSI.
