ID verification, waiting for a eternity
Lol I sent my ID verification to them and they have been verifying it for 7 days now. I contacted the support service, but they did not answer me for another 14 days.
Judging by the numerous bad reviews, Bitpay today is a scam, a non-working crypto service. I do not recommend. And I was lucky that I could not even use it for its intended purpose.
I wish I’d have read reviews before…
I wish I’d have read reviews before purchasing via Bitpay. First time was simple and successful. My recent transaction the total opposite. My transaction was confirmed by Ramp and Bitpay are no longer responding to emails. They had promised to do a review within 36 hours and kept asking for ID they had already had. When you tell them this they start ignoring your emails. It is so frustrating I have lost money I cannot afford to lose. DO NOT USE BITPAY.
This is garbage.
This is garbage.
There are ZERO funding mechanisms that actually work. Too many of the crypto platform have been hit with financial losses to the point where their software is barely functional. Sad but stay away.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! ONCE YOU PUT YOUR MONEY IN YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO GET IT OUT. LUCKILY I ONLY HAVE A FEW CRYPTO IN THERE BUT I CAN ONLY IMAGINE OTHER PEOPLE.
BE WARNED DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
Like everyone else said
Like everyone else said, there's no one in the company, its a scam.

I deposited $400 of Bitcoin and only had access to two different Bitcoin wallets with $300 to spend. I didn’t need an extra Bitcoin wallet nor did I create one. I only have access to one BTC wallet and can’t get to spend the rest of the $400.I do believe that they’re a scam and not legit

BITPAY REFUSES TO REFUND STOLEN FUNDS.
BITPAY REFUSES TO REFUND STOLEN FUNDS.
I received an email from Bitpay alerting me on the night of 4/20/23 that my acct had been compromised at another location in another state, and that if its not me, I should contact them. I did but they were closed. I sent a ticket that it wasn't me and I did not authorize the transaction for $2500! Earlier in the day, I had used my card and also contacted Bitpay about a failed transaction, where the Agent asked for my card number to verify my account.
I called Bitpay the next morning and they said that they cannot issue a refund until the transaction goes through. It did on 4/21/23. I called again and they asked for my card number again and said that I should complete and submit a claim form, which I did and provided a detailed email regarding the same.
However, they denied my claim that no error occurred. I disputed it. Case was reopened but denied a 2nd time today 5/03/23. The reason given is because the card was in my possession! The transaction that night was in another state I don't live! I don't know how it happened but I keep telling Bitpay that it wasn't me and they simply won't refund my funds.
My card was frozen but again, someone tried to steal funds twice again in the same state earlier,, which was denied. The card is still in my possession but someone still had access to the account. A new card was ordered.
I have contacted Bitpay to trace where the items that were purchased went and that could be the culprit but they keep saying that no error occurred. I also suggested that they can also inquire from the Store in question but they refuse to issue a refund.
DO NOT USE BITPAY!! THEY ARE NOT ACCOUNTABLE!! Poor customer service. I requested to speak with a manager and was told that managers do not answer to phone calls, only phone agents do and they will relay my concern and escalate it.
At this point if no solution is reached, I think I shall have to seek legal representation as I feel cheated and defeated. I need for this to be resolved and my funds returned.
Avoid buying gift cards
The service is really bad. I’ve bought a Uber Eats gift card. There was a problem with the gift card I could not use it. I’ve contacted the support team to find a solution. Nothings has changed since and the gift card has disappeared from my account.
Scummy practices
Scummy practice. Hides information from user. Puts limits on transactions to make you put more money into crypto just to perform simple transactions. Would absolutely not recommend.
BITPAY IS A SCAM DONT USE
If I could give zero or negative stars I would. I sent tether from my coinbase account wallet to be sent to Bitpay tether in the amount of $400. It shows completed confirmed in coinbase but low and behold nothing in Bitpay. 03/02. I've sent 20 something messages now to Bitpay and the only response I get is twice they requested further info including the Hash and I responded with the information requested. To this day I cant get a single person to email me back. That's $400 and it's a lot to me. They down right stole it from me as I see the completed transaction on ññ. Etherscan Bitpay is a scam
Bitpay is a scam and they can't even hide it
I just went through an integration POC using node js bitpay sdk. The documentation is already a bang average one and not upto standards I wanted.
First red flag started when I used my business account to receive payments and didn't receive anyv crypto in my receiver address from same wallet still it's on hold for settlement(Even reached minimum settlement which is set at 20$ USD).
Second red flag is dead slow or non existent customer service of their product.
Third red flag is I'm visiting this site after a recommendation from my workplace pal & reading how bitpay is simply a scam site with working blockchain.
Safety precaution: Never trust any crypto payment provider and start using testnet feature at first for testing crypto payment & Never spend your original crytocurrency with this kind of gateways.
I used my bitcoin testnet wallet to check first and then saw the state of customer support in this awful scammers site & decided to learn more about this in trustpilot.

I asked for my account to be closed and the balance to be transfer to the bank in the account. The following day I received an email to say the account has been deactivated by the compliance team as they are unable to service my industry or the information on my application is incomplete.

They have kept the $400 balance
They have not replied to any of my follow up emails or replies to the ticket
Needless to say I will visiting their office in Holland which is closest to me to resolve this in person

I would stay well clear if you have any ideas of opening an account with this company. I should have read the rest of the 1 star reviews all over the internet for BitPay
Terrible support and slow payments
I was going to receive an payment from a GPT site, but unfortunately bitpay has some other verification even after completing KYC. You need a separate application for receiving payments. "Your application has been successfully submitted and is currently being reviewed. We’ll get back to you within 24 to 48 hours on the status of your verification. Please contact us if you have any questions." It's been around 58 hours by now.
Please don't trust bitpay!
Please don't trust bitpay, they just stole my money. Bitpay asked me for my ID three times in two months, crazy! As soon as I stopped submitting any documents, they started stealing my money! I got an email notification that the payouts have started processing, but my bank account is no longer able to receive the payouts and they don't respond to my emails anymore. I have removed bitpay from my website. I don't want to google any reviews about them anymore, I see a lot of fake reviews, those 5 star reviews may even be bought by them.
No refunds, suspicious support
I am extremely disappointed with the support provided by BitPay. I was supposed to receive a refund of ~$71. Despite confirming that they would be issuing a refund of ~$71 in USDC to my Polygon (MATIC) wallet address, the refund never materialized. When I questioned their lack of follow-through, their support team provided false information with a couple links for their block explorer that didn't work and then had the audacity to send me a link to my own transaction on Polygonscan (dated December 23rd), claiming it was the refund.
Despite the clear evidence that my wallet address has not received any funds (they can simply look at it through polygonscan but refuse to), the company stubbornly insists that they have already issued a refund.
Update: After MONTHS, they sent me an e-mail claiming there was an error with processing my refunds and they were going to do it manually. After a couple days my refund was issued. While I will still leave a negative review because the whole situation was unacceptable, I appreciate that BitPay support took the necessary steps to rectify it, and the fact that the refund was processed is a positive outcome.
NO RESPONSE TO MISSING MONEY............Bitpay is horrible not trust worthy at…
Bitpay is horrible not trust worthy at all. I had a lump sum sent to my wallet 12-02-2022 after that payment was made to my wallet everything was erased my Simplex payment history everything luckily I downloaded all my blocks information. Sent proof of payment to my wallet to bitpay more than five times their first response was month later and had nothing to do with my issue and I haven't heard from them since it should be illegal for them to deal with crypto or any type of currency with this type of customer service. People shouldn't have to write a review to get a response from bitpay. I find it amazing how they responded to certain reviews but not all mainly the ones with missing money. Ijs. Update: 01/25/2023 STILL no response from bitpay tried contacting multiple times no response I do not recommend dealing with them because it takes 5 to 6 months to get a response from them and when they do respond it has nothing to with your issue and then you wait another 5 to 6 months crazy.
