Support is working, but really slow.

Updated 11. dec 2024. After almost 3 weeks I finally received my refund. So I changed from 1 to 2 stars.
I used bit pay to purchase some goods online. They deducted the amount from my xrp wallet right away, eventhough the payment was declined by the Store. I have now been writing with support for 2 weeks, without geting my payment back. Replies from suport are mostly stardard replies, without reading the information I have sent. It even says on bitpay, that I have a refund awaiting. But I cannot acces it. After 10 days i am starting to think that my xrp are lost.

Denial-of-service without uploading your driver's license

I wanted to simply buy, say, a prepaid Chevron/Kroger's/Visa card of $500 today from my cryptocurrency. BitPay's website suggests that for transactions under $3,000 in the states you don't have to verify your account. Sadly, this is not the case. Their privacy agreement could easily allow them to sell your data to the government for vague reasons.
Contacting their support they initially didn't read my email, sending in a template response. I replied and stated my concerns. The same agent bluntly said, "Unfortunately, if the system requires you to verify to continue the process, you must do it." I finished the conversation by suggesting that one of their competitors just sold me the gift card without the nonsense.

Clunky system

Clunky system, forced account creation, occasional login errors.
Refunds are processed slowly (in my case, over 2 business days after confirmation from seller).
The worst Bitcoin gateway processor I ever used.
I recommend Btcpayserver and Cryptomus as better alternatives.

Do not use Bitpay. Read this!

The worst customer service. After being client for years they stopped my account. Made me psy applicstion fee and then wanted more information then a freaking bank for a ten million dollar loan. I was client since 2017 to 2023.I'm not a bot or have any affiliation with any companies. I'm an owner. Trust me... They dont care about your business. If you have a problem you are screwed. O number and will cancel account and your left to Artificial I telligence and bots for months. I'm a business owner and did all the homework for you. DO NOT USE BITPAY. DO NOT PAY THEIR FEES. THEY ARE ANTI-BUSINESS. I found Nowpayments. They don't even want a single document. Hallelujah! So easy and started in one day. Bitpay offers no service. They don't charge and amazing for NONprofits. so much better for companies. Anybody who partners with PayPal is not your friend. Hope this helps! Power and freedom to the people and free enterprise.

Bitpay is a scam company! Do not use, I repeat!

I beg you not to use bitpay, they are pure crypto scammers, I tried using their platform for a transaction, the amount of coin I sent fluctuated by just little amount which made the transaction underpaid, I was prompted to process a refund in which would show me invoice archived whenever I clicked refund. I’ve tried contacting their customer support but no reply. They are simply thieves, they make their money off scamming people off their money!

This is a very unprofessional company…

This is a very unprofessional company to start with. I asked a simple task of closing my account and it took a week to get a proper respond stalling with petty excuses. Then they replied my account was closed. I keep checking and still see my account is active. Worst of all they no longer respond to my messages. This is a service that everyone should stay away.

Don't use BitPay

Basically they stole $20 somehow since they claim my transaction was underpaid. So the refund is deducted a significant amount. And in general the whole UI seems misleading and painful.

BitPay literally scammed me for 9$ (GREEDY)

BitPay is terrible, first they dont even have address which I can send to they just show QR Code which is buggy on blockchain application, then I happen to get lucky for QR Code to be readable to send them money and I accidentally send Subtotal instead of Total amount and they ignore my support ticket taking away my money and not giving me faceit subscription or refunding me amount

I would give you Reference Support Ticket, but It didnt even send me confirmation to my email about my created ticket, shameful site.

EDIT: Replied to my ticket and said :

Hello,

We've reviewed the transaction details provided. This transaction does not belong to a BitPay Invoice (df73377b238dc350a1c4eb4d93c1e49e7af0dbcb1790e6639caca02b631d5f12).

It is possible this transaction was sent from wallet to wallet without using our payment gateway.

A cryptocurrency transaction that has already been broadcast to the network is irreversible. This is an essential feature of the protocol which prevents payment fraud.

If you have sent your funds to any address not associated with a BitPay Merchant, there is nothing that we can do to recover the payment for you.

As you can see from transaction hash I have around 18k on my bitcoin wallet would I really be lying for 9 euros? I hope you guys that you are reading this NEVER use BitPay because they're greedy af

Be careful, it is a scam

Be careful, bitpay is a scam!
I bought €50 in Bitcoin, I only received €33 in bitcoin. And I can't even use them, because aren't even enough to pay the commissions for make 1€ payment.
I tried to send 1 euro to the wallet of my friend, and bitpay app says that there are not enough funds to carry out the operation.
They practically stole everything. Customer service says it is not their fault Thank goodness that I had tried with a small amount just to try.
Be careful, they are thieves. Real criminals.
