We visited the Plymouth restaurant last night. The service was very poor. Forgotten items of food, used starter plates left on the table, gave us two glasses instead of four and there just wasn't much... See more

Family meal at bistro Pierre …
Family meal at bistro Pierre which used to be my go to restaurant but sadly no longer. Had the soire gastonomique and some chose the ordinary menu. It's instantly clear that the company is probably run by an accountant or a board of penny pinchers. It's sad to see the decline with inexperienced staff poor quality meat and a french restaurant not serving baguettes and butter anymore. Some of the food was good but way overpriced and the wine a ridiculous price . Obviously people are voting with their feet because the place was half empty. Service slow and I felt sorry for the manager doing their best to keep everyone happy. Take a tip and get back to basics.

Have eaten there many times for special events or just for lunch. Last visit two weeks ago disappointing, standards have dropped, service very slow even when it wasn’t busy, meals noticeably smaller. When mentioned to staff … overwhelming indifference. The sunshine was pleasant and the Sea looked fabulous.
Will not be returning
We used to use there Plymouth branch very often and the place was very good ,could have pre dinner drinks ,called yesterday ,we hadn’t booked but thought we would have a drink and see if there was availability for a meal , we were met on the door and told we could not have a drink and all the bar area had been set for meals , we then went to seco bar and welcomed with open arms,we spent in total over £ 200 pounds on drinks alone , now if bistrot Pierre can afford to turn this kind of custom away I wish them good luck , we will not be returning any time soon

Good food
Good food, nice venue, Lautrec (& others) posters, French music, pleasant & helpful staff.
Superb as always
I really enjoyed Monday night at This wonderful Restaurant in Nottingham city Centre. The manager he was spot on with everything. Young lad and very aware of everything around him. Quite busy considering no shows on at the theatres . Loved the food . Loved the atmosphere and professional staff all round . Considering we had three courses and a bottle of wine , it was very reasonably priced. Thank your chef and manager for that night please . Spot on.
Fabulous lunch and excellent service
Visited Coventry branch. Fabulous lunch and excellent service. We were a large pre booked community group and between us had a wide range of dishes. Everyone enjoyed their meal, mine was delicious and the staff were fabulous.

We visited the bistro pierre in Nottingham and it was amazing from start to finish! We had the soirée gastronomique menu and would definitely come back again. We were served by Princess and Angelica who were both so lovely and welcoming. They couldn’t do enough and were very friendly. I would recommend, you get so much lovely food for the price it is well and truly worth it. All the food came out at the same time even when we all had different for the main course and was all hot.
Didn't enjoy the food or atmosphere
Went to this restaurant in Coventry with a group of friends. First time dining there.
I read the reviews on the Trip Adviser (4.6/5) and decided to give it a try.
I should have read the Trustpilot reviews which were (2.6/5) and give it miss!
The stake was very thin, charred and dry, with just some chips, few wilted green leaves and tiny amount of sauce.
Burgers on the small side again.
Someone had to order another portion of food, as the portion sizes are ridiculously small.
Overall the menu is also very poor and limited.
In a sentence, too pricy for the quality and the portion size of the food, cold (we had to wear our coats), left very disappointed and hungry :(

The meal .the food was loverly but the service was rushed.
The resterant was obviously overbooked as we recieved se coursesar the same time. Ie complimentary nibbles and starter. Desert coffee and cheeseboard.
We recieved the bill without even asking for it .like I say loverly food but verry rushed for a 420 quid meal .
Wouldent go again

Very disappointed with the roast turkey evening meal. Potatoes and parsnips were so hard they were impossible to cut. The turkey was tasteless. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the one star is for them.
The menu was uninspiring, hence my recourse to a roast dinner.
All of my previous meals in this Torquay restaurant have been excellent.
Overcooked
Unfortunately all our dishes were overcooked! It was as if they were reheated. The plates were hot but the food tepid including the sauce. Service was very good and an excellent atmosphere. Perhaps a new chef!!

Had a lovely meal in Coventry with ex colleagues. The place was buzzing with Xmas dinners but the staff were on top of their game, especially Annie who was friendly and attentive.
Food was delicious, drinks great and atmosphere festive.

Eastbourne- greeted by Debs who was very welcoming. Great breakfast with the most fabulous view. Never had a bad experience there.
Superb views
Superb views, excellent food, reasonable value and friendly service. Thank you to Agnes for accommodating our needs so amiably.

From the moment we arrived around 7 pm Jarek greeted us in a friendly manner, placed us on a nice round table, I think was no 100, it was comfortable and had plenty of room for the 3 of us, just what we needed after a 3 and half hour Journey from Buckinghamshire. We had worked out the menu before arriving to save time, but things had changed, Jarek went out his way to help us as my Son was vegetarian, and the other 2 of us only eat chicken or fish, salad of veg. Taking our drinks order was friendly, despite being so busy Jarek gave excellent service. The team did not keep you waiting long before bringing our drinks and food. Jarek came back to check we was happy with everything and even at the end he had quality time for us. A great place Indeed, on the sea front. Please let Jarek of Eastbourne know how pleased we are. Thank you
Poor service at the Eastbourne site.
After a bracing walk on Eastbourne seafront, we popped into Bistrot Pierre to have a drink with a view to maybe eating there with friends in the evening. I went to the bar to order a drink and was told that it was 'table service only'. I said we would be on the terrace and we sat down. Another member of staff also acknowledged that we were going to sit outside. There were no more than 20 other customers in the bar. Unfortunately, after just over ten minutes, the 'table service' did not materialise and so we left.
The place wasn't even that busy so I don't know why we were ignored.
As a result, that evening, we spent our £320 at another restaurant in town that wanted to serve us. I get the impression that Bistro Pierre just rely on their panoramic position to bring the customers in, which is mistake.
The Derby branch is great!
Had a meal the other day with my family at thr Derby branch. The venue is lovely snd the food was great. Couldn't fault the service either. Highly recommend!
CHANGES TO LOYALTY SCHEME ROB LOYAL CUSTOMERS
Thoroughly unimpressed with the recent switch in the Club Bistrot Pierre Loyalty Scheme. The company has changed from a points scheme to a cashback scheme but to muddy the waters to look as if it is a brilliant new scheme, when in actual fact loyal customers are getting far far less financial reward than they did on the old Scheme. Customers will have to spend hundreds of pounds more to get anywhere near the equal value of previous rewards. It is extremely disappointing that Bistrot Pierre have decided to follow suit with other loyalty schemes and decrease the appeal and reward of using them by damping down the value. The old scheme was never broken and did not need fixing. Under the old scheme, I used to have enough to contribute towards a meal every 12-18 months, now under the new scheme I doubt there will be enough for at least triple that length of time. That is not a reward scheme. A proper reward scheme should give back to you quicker with the same amount of input. I can see CBP footfall heading out the door in the months to come, people will just give up as it's no longer worth it.
