Worst customer service

Birkenstock customer service is appalling. Having had no communication from them for 5 days they email that my order is delayed with no reasoning. Having paid an extortionate £5.95 for the p&p (3 day deliver that obviously won’t be achieved) I asked for it to be refunded and you’d think I’d asked for a free pair of sandals the way they reacted! Customer service are extremely unhelpful and do anything to wiggle out of helping. Won’t ever use them again.

Buyer beware dont read this

I have been buying
Birkenstock hospitality foot wear for about twelve years now .I buy the boston super grip non slip grey sole non slip type.

My recent and last pair ever of the BOSTON SUPER GRIP will be my last purchase ever. And I would just like to share my experience with other potential customers.

On my last pair of boston super grips the sole has worn right through to the middle sole , the grey no slip section wore down within six months of use.
I bought my boston super grips in June 2025(have invoice with date}.I did not start wearing them until late November early December 2025.My fellow employees can verify this to anybody that requires this information . This pair was wore 5 days a week for eight hours a day , excluding all public hoildays in this time.

I have pictures (Early May 2026), the pictures of my under one year pair and pictures of my previous pair that i used for nearly 2 years that are nearly 3 year old now, with a almost complete grey sole. for anyone that's want verification .

I have reached out to Birkinstock and the online store that i purchased from that were not really interested. This door of reaching out is now closed and i will now share my experience with as many people as i can to make them aware of the footwear issue i have .

I am so frustrated by this company

I am so frustrated by this company! Whilst the shoes are lovely, the customer service and actually getting what you’ve ordered are a separate matter. I ordered a lovely pair of sandals and when they arrived, they were the wrong pair, a cheaper pair. If I didn’t know exactly what the shoes I’d ordered look like, I could have easily mistaken them thinking they were what I ordered. I raised a complaint, sent them back and received no apology. I reordered, everyone makes mistakes sometimes. The same thing happened again. This time, voucher code was given to me as an apology. I sent them back, I reordered. Same thing again! This time, no response from customer service. Honestly, in this day and age you would expect much better from a company that sells pricey shoes. To say I have lost my faith in Birkenstock is an understatement. Life is hectic enough as it is and I simply do not have the time to keep sending back a cheaper pair of shoes in the chance I won’t notice and I’ll keep them. How hard can it be to send the correct item?!

Perfect!

This is my fourth Birkenstock purchase online within five months and it was great experience again! No problems at all! Beautiful comfortable shoes, fast delivery by Evri. Great packaging. Great quality! I love Birkenstock! Finally, I found shoes that fit perfectly my feet. Thank you Birkenstock!!!

Disgusting delivery and service

Their delivery service and customer service is disgraceful and they have the cheek to make excuses. If they don’t have warehouses in the UK why are they offering delivery service just use concessions or other retail outlets to stock their footwear. Never again am I ordering from their website

Quality not what they used to be

Quality not what it used to be. Have always loved Birkenstock. Needed some safety boots so naturally went for Birkenstock QS700 boots. First pair leather cracked after 3 months, 2nd pair stiching failed after 4 months.
Thankfully retailer gave full refund but when contacted Birkenstock via their socials they did not care.

Purchased a pair of Birkenstock sandals…

Purchased a pair of Birkenstock sandals in April 2026. Needed to exchange for a smaller size and immediately contact your customer service who sent me a return prepaid address label. Within nine days I received my exchange! Customer service was outstanding as they contacted me every step of the way. I will definitely be a returning customer.

AVOID - READ ALL COMMENTS - SCAM

Items are not being delivered. Evri tells customers to speak with the company and Birkenstock makes it impossible to claim a refund. AVOID, you will lose your money. The company should be ashamed of having such awful customer service.

Absolutely terrible experience.


Absolutely terrible experience.
I ordered a pair of shoes for my son’s birthday and paid around £150 for them. The company decided to use the cheapest delivery company, Evri, and the package was delivered completely to the wrong address. I never received anything.
I tried calling multiple times, but none of the phone numbers work. I also sent several emails with proof, photos, and all the information they requested, and nobody replied at all.
This is honestly unbelievable customer service. I lost a lot of money for absolutely nothing, and they completely ruined my son’s birthday surprise.
Please do not use this company. Save your money and buy from somewhere else, because if something goes wrong, nobody will help you and nobody will respond.
Very disappointed.

Terrible company ordered a pair of Boston when delivered they were two odd sizes sent them back re ordered another pair to have the same pair sent back to me this has happened 3 times & when I contacted Birkenstock not even a sorry just rude how incompetent can a company be!!

Stay Away

STAY AWAY - Spend money elsewhere... Gizeh (2 pairs) are splitting on the top section after minimal use. No customer service other than - sorry it's the way you wear them - This is rubbish. I have had many pairs of these shoes and they have lasted years. They must have change the fabric or design.. Ordering online was okay with fast delivery.

I should have had my order a week ago at the latest.
They were really slow to be sent out.
Evri have had them 8 days and still not been delivered.
As the 5 working days were on my daughter's birthday, I ordered them.
Her birthday was a week ago.
I've been passed between Evri and Birkenstock for 8 days.
Today Birkenstock representative Amine Felix just ended the chat because I said I wanted a refund.
She said I had to wait until tomorrow.
I said the issue is between Birkenstock and Evri, it isn't my issue. I am within my rights to demand a refund as they have let me down. I have been patient for the last 7 days, but the promised delivery never happens.
I want to buy my daughter a birthday present and it's not my problem anymore.

Birkenstock needs to speak and sort with Evri, not me. And now I never want to deal with either again.

I am now having to dispute the transaction with my bank.

All hassle and wasted time.

I actually believe that I will never buy Birkenstock's again... this would have been my 7th pair.

Never again. And I have to send a parcel to Fiji, it's a charity parcel and Evri are the cheapest. Nope I will not spend £100 with Evri.

Faulty cork

I bought some navy canvas suede style trainers in April 2022. After only being worn in the summer may be once a week, the cork between the two layers of rubber has disintegrated in one of the shoes. At €140 this is not a cheap pair of shoes. Birkenstock refuses to replace them but it is obviously a fault. Has anybody else had this problem?

Appalling Customer Service - No French CS

Appalling customer service - NO customer service for FRANCE. I had to contact via chat to ask if there was a replacement footbed for the Gizeh model sandal and I was told that there isn't and that I should ask for a quote for repair and was given the email "customerservice.fr @ birkenstock.com ". They forwarded my request to Switzerland and told me that they don't have a repair service there. So I researched online and found the blog of a shoesmith saying that Birkenstock sandals footbeds can be changed and repaired, so there are replacement footbeds that can be bought and repair is possible at your local shoesmith. To conclude there is NO FRENCH speaking customer service for FRENCH customers and the Customer Service reps DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS AT ALL!! The Customer Service Director EMEA should be handled appropriately!! @Estelle Rival what are you doing?

I’m writing this review to highlight a…

I’m writing this review to highlight a delivery issue rather than the product itself.

I placed an order which was due for delivery, but I received a notification from the courier indicating that the address was “incomplete.” I immediately attempted to correct the address through the courier’s system, however within a very short timeframe I received confirmation that the parcel was already being returned to the sender.

The key issue here is that there was no meaningful opportunity to resolve the address query before the return process was initiated. The address provided was valid and included a correct Eircode, but the retailer’s input fields appear to restrict how the address can be entered, which may have contributed to the courier flagging it as incomplete.

From a customer perspective, this creates a situation where:

- the order cannot be delivered,
- the customer cannot intervene in time,
- and the only outcome is a return and refund, requiring a full re-order.

This is not a one-off inconvenience when you are relying on timely delivery.

I would strongly recommend that Birkenstock review:

- their address input format and field limitations,
- and how delivery issues are handled with couriers to allow customers a realistic opportunity to correct details before automatic returns are triggered.

At present, the process does not provide a reliable way to receive an order where address formatting is constrained.

Quality and Customer Care Don’t Match the Price

I have been a loyal Birkenstock customer for many years, which made this experience especially disappointing. I purchased these sandals for my 79‑year‑old mother, and the toe strap failed in under a year despite limited, seasonal use.
All responses from customer service felt dismissive and relied on generalized explanations about wear patterns rather than addressing the specific issue. After submitting all requested photos and information, Birkenstock declined any replacement or accommodation and directed me to third‑party repair options at my own expense. Based on this experience, the quality and customer support do not justify the premium price of these shoes.

I bought a pair of Birkenstock Arizona…

I bought a pair of Birkenstock Arizona Sandals... after six months the straps cracked and split... Very poor quality laminated leather... I contacted Birkenstock Customer Care... they didn't want to know... Cobbler said Birkenstock quality has deteriorated. In past products were quality, not now!
Very Disappointed with Sandals, I will NEVER purchase Birkenstock products again. Pictures available...

Wanted to buy some boston cloggs for my…

Wanted to buy some boston cloggs for my niece for her birthday. She is 11 years old. Every single kids shoe goes up to a size 5.5. The bostons only go up to a 2.5? When i asked they said thats because after 2.5 is adult sizing. So why are all the other shoes and every other website class up to 5.5 as kids/junior size. My niece is a 3/3.5, and i was told i have to purchase the "adult" size, which funnily enough is exactly double the price. Very very unethical pricing as all other shoes are available for kids in them sizes. Just because they are popular new rules have been made about what constitutes as a child size. I assume because some adults can fit that size and they want to maintain the ridicouls mark up. Very unethical and should not be allowed, will report to trade in standards.
