Don’t do reviews usually but I purchased the long throw gate lock and I’m really impressed by the thought, cost and effort that came in the box. Had the correct drill bit, spade bit for the main holes. The template was adhesive so no faffing around tracing or taping on. It was super easy. Tamper proof screws too. Proper quality bit of kit and made very easy to
Install. Nice one for saving me some effort. Most companies cut corners so it was really refreshing hense I thought I’d leave a review. Cheers

The customer service here is 5 star. I had an issue and they went above and beyond to get it sorted. Nothing was too much to make sure the product I purchased was correct. I dealt with Fernli who has been extremely helpful

Superb customer service to send me a replacement set of fixings for a GateMate lock. Kitty's communication and attention to detail were first class.

Lock looked robust but all keys supplied have got stuck at some point. It is a good strong lock and easy to install but stressful as I wriggle each time to get the key out. I alerted the company to the problem as the side gate is needed for my alarm key holder but didn’t even get a reply. Disappointed by poor customer care
Update- I was contacted by customer service and they explained and apologised for the delay and immediately set about resolving the issue. Faultless communication and am very satisfied with how this has been dealt with. Thank you.

I have just fitted a Gatemate premium long throw lock to my new garden gate. The lock was purchased from Screwfix. The build quality of the lock is first class and the package included everything needed to ensure a perfect fit, from detailed instructions, self adhesive templates and drill bits needed for the installation. Highly recommend this product and company.

When the new remote arrived, I was directed to Ryan, who , after much discussion with the technophobe that I am , we succeeded in linking the remote to the control unit.

Polite, responsive and interested in helping out with a non standard request.

Placed the order at 2.15pm, confirmed the order at 4.15pm after returning to the office from an offsite appointment.
The delivery was received at our depot at 11.05am the very next morning.

Bought a couple of products for a new gate all GATEMATE including hinges, lock and bolts which were all good. Thought I would finish the project with a GATEMATE cabin hook.
Unfortunately its a joke. There is a design fault in the way the hook has been made so it will not stay in the catch. Slightest bit of wind and the gate slams shut.
I even tried to adjust the catch myself but in fairness it is so robust you cannot easily do so.
Emailed Birkdakle and they sent a pleasant response but not interested in addressing. Its only a few pounds to buy but I wonder how many thousands of these they have sold to customers who think its not worth the hassle to complain about something small.
Obviously no quality control their end.
Giving 2 stars as other products have been fine but has made me think twice about buying anything else in their range.
