DO NOT GO TO BIOPLASMA☠️

Do yourself a favor and go to any other Plasma center. My first few experiences were fine but the 4th While inserting needle they gave me hematoma and crossed to other arm and still couldn’t get it right so they count that as an appointment but don’t pay me. I make appointment next day they turn me away. I make appointment the following day finally Katie is the only reason I was able to donate. I make appointment 3 days later they turn me away because you can’t donate more than twice a week although I didn’t. Between the dirt and trash everywhere and the negative judge-mental atmosphere it’s not worth it. Especially I believe her name is “V” or “D” mixed girl with puffy hair that checks ppl in, she either doesn’t like White ppl or just hates her life! There is no management to speak of or to. I most definitely will not be back. If I could give zero stars I would. I do not appreciate any type of Racism. God Bless 🙏🏼

Bio life is trash

I have been trying to contact the Tallahassee Florida BioLife clinic for three weeks. Nobody will answer the phone. I called the Pensacola BioLife center and they can’t even answer a simple yes or no medical question a basic medical question I’m through. I’m done with BioLife. I used to donate to BioLife and they were the best but not anymore. I will never use them again.

Rude, unprofessional and condescending

I spent all morning making sure I gathered documents, ate well and hydrated. Then drove almost 45 minutes to Kennesaw, where I encountered ‘Mykala’ at the check-in desk. She scrutinized my Social Security card as if it weren’t real, (I am almost 60 and my mother allowed me to sign my card as a 4 year old), then when I was honest about the fact that I had just entered a Domestic Violence Shelter, but the address on my license was valid and my LEGAL address, where I receive mail, she was rude and condescending and rolled her eyes at me.

She brought two other colleagues to the desk, and they abruptly told me I was not eligible to donate. They further pushed the issue by asking me to divulge the address of the shelter. I responded that I could not do that for safety reasons and furthermore, it’s illegal to ask me that. They then asked if I was part of the ‘Safe at Home’ program. Again….not appropriate and illegal to ask me in front of everyone standing in line. Despite me having plenty of documentation to prove my LEGAL ADDRESS, I was turned away.

Women at the shelter are encouraged to donate plasma as a way to supplement our income while escaping our abusers and looking for employment. When I tried to explain this to them, I was curtly asked what the names of the women in the shelter were? Again, not appropriate and illegal to ask. When I refused to give them this information and stated that it was illegal for me to divulge those names, the lady that took over for ‘Mykayla’ was incredibly rude and said [verbatim], “That’s right, you tell them that if I find out who they are, I will terminate them from the program!”

For someone that is experiencing this set of circumstances, these three women managed to make a bad situation even worse. And in front of everyone.

I suppose I should have LIED. What a waste of what little resources I had. I also should have read these reviews. It appears as though this is standard practice for this location.

EDIT: On Saturday (April 5th, 2026, I received an email from BioLife telling me I ‘missed my appointment’, and please call to reschedule. I subsequently received two texts telling me that I missed my appointment and asking me to reschedule. Oh the irony!

Upon further investigation, they also have and extremely low rating on two other review sites, multiple BBB filings and a lawsuit that was filed in February of 2026. Do your research everyone! Steer clear of this company at all costs!

Hematomas

Long wait times, if you’re 10 mins late you can’t donate yet you might wait an hour past your scheduled time to get a bed. Techs will f up your veins I have multiple pics to back this up after techs missed my vein and had to readjust or get another tech. This has never once happened at another center. You have to get out of line for another line for a nurse to say…wow that looks bad…but do you have another vein we can try? A tech tried to enter the person before me’s info into my account after saying she has adhd and I had to tell her she never took my vitals. I wasn’t given the choice to upload photos

On Battlefield blvd N there are only two cuffs for larger people

I go to the BioLife on North Battlefield in Chesapeake VA.
They just replaced their equipment which is great, it takes less time to donate and there are plug ins for chargers on the side of the bed.
They he issue is this, they have row after row of beds but only 2 cuffs for larger size people so we have to wait until one of those people are done until you can donate. If the two people in front of you need the cuffs you get to sit (or lay) around for an hour until they are done.
They have 30 “beds” here so why are their only two cuffs?

Things have changed, in a bad way

This review is about not a specific branch but the company overall. as someone who donated for years and took a break for a few years and came back I am disappointed. The "new" payment structure (about 110 a week for me) seems better than the old system (70 a week) except you no longer get an end of month bonus. so, you're actually making less. and for me donating more! I am donating more than I used to and I've lost weight and get paid the same as smaller donors that take less time. They also clearly have less staff so you'll sit waiting to get poked and sit waiting to be disconnected. only do it if you sorely need the cash. used to do it just for fun money on the side, not even worth that anymore.

This is for the BioLife on Morganton Rd…

This is for the BioLife on Morganton Rd in NC; needed money, so I filled out the online forms, and made appt. I've given blood/plasma when I lived in TX, so I'm not new to this. However, I kept getting a bad feeling I couldn't shake off, so when something conflicted with the appt, I canceled. Need money again, so I scheduled appt online. This morning, I looked up directions and read the reviews. It's very concerning. Most are 1 star, and the pictures are disturbing. I have tiny veins. Even the nurses at my primary will have problems, and I end up with bruises, sometimes large. And reviewers warn of wait times of 4/5 hrs (!). I'm in good health, but I'm 74 and can't stand very long w/o legs hurting. I canceled. Unless BioLife has consistent good reviews/service, I'll stay away.

Long Wait Times, Rushed, and Unpleasant

I have been donating my O-neg blood and plasma for many years after getting a pacemaker. I am 77 years old. My neighbor suggested I try BioLife, so I went to this location on Richmond Avenue.

There was only one person at the Check-In counter so I had to wait 20 minutes. Once I checked in, which took 5 minutes, I waited another 5 minutes before seeing the first screening unit. The screening took about 5 minutes. I then waited for 10 minutes to visit with a nurse for a physical exam. The exam lasted only 5 minutes. The nurse told me I was not eligible to donate because I had a pacemaker.

That's odd. I've been donating for years with a pacemaker without a single problem.

I asked the nurse why the disqualification wasn't posted on their website. The nurse didn't apologize.

So, I wasted $45 on Uber and 1 hour of waiting in lines just to be denied. This place was a zoo. They were short staffed which caused very long lines. I only met one staffer who was pleasant, the rest appeared to be rushed and unconcerned. One nurse appeared to be frantic while trying to move customers along.

After witnessing all of this, I can't imagine why anyone would go here except those who were hard pressed to get some money.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'll continue to donate for free at Gulf Coast Blood Centers where I'm surrounded by pleasant staff and get free snacks, including Otis Spunkmeyer cookies.

Rude

I donate regularly at the Austin branch. Whilst their staff are mostly just disinterested, I had a staff member be rude and I caught him mocking me to
his colleague. When I took it up with his manager she was extremely rude and threatened to ban me. I tried to discuss via the contact form on their website, and my messages were ignored three times. They really don’t value their donators time at all.

Rude employee kicked me out

I have been going to the BioLife in Mckinney Texas for over a year now with somewhat no problems. Well, I was there last week and right after the lady started the process, my left left started twitching, which it usually does many times through the months. So I decided to start recording a video of my leg with my cellphone. Well, my cellphone is a piece of junk so it started taking photos instead of a video so i had to keep "messing" with my cellphone so all of a sudden this woman comes to me telling me to "ERASE THOSE PHOTOS AT ONCE"!!! I was caught off guard so I told her that I was trying to take photos of my leg and she still insisted on me to erase the photos. So I told her "ok". So when she walked away, I grabbed my cellphone and was trying to delete the photos and my cellphone started acting up again. So as i continued on trying to delete those photos.. she came up to me again and said "I told you to delete those photos and you continued to take photos" and I was like "WHAT"??? So then she proceeds to stop the machine and she says "I talked to my manager and you are now deferred permanently"! I told her "what? I was erasing my photos" and she continued to argue with me and basically told me to pound sand! I have NEVER had someone like that treat me as if I was a criminal. NEVER! It was horrible! I do not go to the plasma center for myself. I do not need the money. I was donating the money to the SPCA. Well, I have always thought that that particular employee was a little racist towards people like me. I am sorry to say that. I have never thought in my life that I would admit something like that because I have never been discriminated against before I have have always said for the past years that its Caucasian peole that have been discriminated against for teh past 6 years. I am Hispanic. But this is the first time in my life that I really feel that this Caucasian lady wa not pleased with me because I am Latino. She would always not smile when she was near me and the vibe was not good when I was there. I just do not understand why she treated me the way she did. I would totally understand if I was warned before to not take photos and then If I did it a second time, then I would understand why they would kick me out of there. But why else was I kicked out of there the first time i took those photos??? And it was supposed to be a video of my leg twitching but my cellphone took photos instead. And thats why I was literally kicked out. But that's ok because I started going to Grifols plasma center in Carrollton Texas and they welcomed me with open arms and they pay way more. So more money for my fur babies at the SPCA. What a HORRIBLE experience at Biolife. I would not EVER go back....even if they payed me a million dollars!

Biolife is the Absolute Worst All Around!!

Kennesaw GA location. I am livid with how poorly I have been treated like a criminal and I strongly recommend you go somewhere else like ADMA. You will notice many other here mention ADMA as they are great! But here? Many negative reviews!! That and a comedy of errors and hassles! But I really tried! I started going there in March of 2025 and nothing but hassles.

Power outages. Cancelled appts with emails at 3am and no texts. Bruised my arm so badly for a month and I almost never bruise. Then some kind of borderline test retest for protein with my SPE and that was it for me. They also herd you like cattle in there with low privacy walls and loud music.

I left and went down the street to ADMA who has a much more doctor office feel and no hassles and have never had an issue. Great center! Only issue is they are not open on weekends and BioLife is. A new issue with my work schedule that is hectic 12 hour shifts.

I went back last August to check and see if I could get back with them to be able to donate on weekends and to see if things improved. They told me I needed to take the SPE again and check back. Well that took four times and four visits!!! One was inconclusive and then they lost two others! I had to keep calling them and going to find out.

Finally one great staff member took the time to get me the test again and personally followed up and FINALLY all was fine and just needed a physical to start donating again. This is where I made a mistake on timing and their reaction is why I am told I can NEVER donate there again. They treated me like a con man or criminal and was totally a disgrace.

I scheduled and went for a physical and donation and all was normal. They then told me that I had donated somewhere else 4 days earlier on a Friday as this was a Tuesday. I believed 1000% that was two weeks ago or more at ADMA and was NOT me! They showed me on the screen and because of this they told me that I was permanently deferred/banned and the manager literally told me I was committing fraud! I got up and stormed out from that unprofessional reply to me!

I went strait to ADMA and had them confirm my last appts and THEY WERE RIGHT and I was wrong! They WERE the previous week. My hectic work schedule made me lose track of the weeks and I made a mistake. But the reaction a rude accusation to this is where I am now taking issue. I emailed them TWICE explaining what had happened and apologized for my timing error. As is the case with this place it took two times to hear back. When I did it was a short and to the point. Again treating me like someone who had committed a crime. "We understand that honest mistakes occur, but unfortunately, the permanent deferral cannot be removed."

So I have deleted my app and destroyed my Debit card from them. They are a mess and treat their donors like cattle. Drag them on. Terrible communication and follow up.

I should have never bothered to waste my time with this place. You should not either! ADMA is just under the 575 bridge to the left. They are wonderful kind and professional. Go there instead. Only negative is they are only open M-F 6-6. Done here!!!! Just the worst!

Get better people who care when they…

Get better people who care when they stick with you and are not careless about it. I was not impressed and ended up getting a better system. Need to be careful about how they talk to people. We are doing them a favor by giving plasma to the people who need it. I have only been there three times, but the last time I went was awful.

I asked how many times has he done this in the past she told me that was none of my dam business, So now since I said something about her lover they deferred me and told me I wasn't allowed back on property !!
