Good bmw update

I bought a 2021 BMW and the maps did not include my home address. After failing with the local BMW dealer to get an update, I tried Bimmer America. I had initially ordered just the map but was advised I also needed to add the FSC file as LIVE vehicles only have three-year FSC files from the factory (don't worry, I don't know what all this means either but I'm happy that the President at Bimmer America does). All of this to say, I am very happy with the outcome and now can see my home on my cars maps.

I was not able to get my head unit map updated. I downloaded the requested items but the map updated didn't work. The tech, Gerry, suggested my head unit need flash reset in order to update maps.

He attempted to flash head unit but it failed and now my head unit is completely disable with a blue screen showing flashing progress.

Gerry recommended I download another file to in to complete the flash, but I could only download about 14 GB of the 138 GB file. Download was extremely slow.

Customer service from Gerry was good, but it didn't work and my head unit is currently inoperable.

I'm requesting a refund of $249 for the map update and the $100 for flash attempt.

These guys are great.I had email issues and didn't get the update after purchasing it. They actually called and texted until they got in touch with me. Their instructions were easy to follow and the update went off without any issues. BMW charges upwards of $500 for this update. Do it yourself with these guys. Highly recommend them.

Outstanding communication from start to finish. They were absolute Aces with the process and it made all the difference. The new map install is incredible and has totally refreshed my M40i. Would absolutely recommend.

Only possible improvement is to include all the hardware with the purchase and bumping the price correspondingly. Or maybe you do have this option and I totally missed it. Which may have happened.

Review of order shipment and installation of Road Map NORTH AMERICA NEXT 2025 update for 2016 BMW 6 Series.

I don’t like writing reviews, but BIMMER did such a nice job that I wanted to help them with their reviews and referrals which are an integral part of their business.

Cold web search for map update: selected Bimmer America LLC after reading Trustpilot reviews.

Order process was logical and easy to follow. First election was for e-mail download to 64GB flash drive. Turned out that download speed for my particular setup was too slow to download to my satisfaction.

From the same e-mail, with one click and a nominal additional fee, BIMMER AMERICA sent a preloaded 64GB flash drive and 4-step easy to follow installation process via USPS express mail. Arrived in my mailbox: Redmond, WA to Miami, FL in 3 days. Postage paid envelope included to return the flash drive to BIMMER.

Followed the elementary installation instructions on the cover letter included, and on the video screen in the car.

BINGO. 40 minutes later my map system was updated from the original 2016 factory installation! My updated Nav system works as advertised with the new install, no glitches at all.

Can’t get any easier than that! That’s why I gave BIMMER a 5-star write-up.

Third time updating GPS no problems will continue to do business with Bimmer. My thanks to Tyler outstanding customer service.

Easy to install. Now we have the latest maps on our 2014 BMW. Wished we had found this product years ago!

Updating the map software was made “super” easy with Bimmer America process. Although you always have some reservations with auto software updates, the ending result was superb and I now wouldn’t think twice on the next update!!

This was a quick and efficient way to upload new software for your Bimmer without the costs of a service center. It worked quickly, is completely up to date with highway and turnpike information and exit changes, and only took 30 minutes!

I recently purchased a navigation update using the USB and it went flawlessly. There was trouble with the postal service, but Steve stepped up and promptly sent me a replacement USB. Excellent communication and the update was what I had hoped for.
