I ordered a dress online

I ordered a dress online. The dress arrived efficiently within two days. It smelled of curry and did not fit well. The fabric was not good quality. When i returned the item within the 7 days stipulated they deducted approx $27 for postage although the returns paperwork stated $12. When I queried this I was advised the deduction also included the original postage. This was not easily understood as the site specified free delivery. I found the process confusing and dissapointing.

Temu quality with BIG pricetag

Items are all different sizing and look like they came from temu - very disappointed - went to return and they only had a 7 day return policy.. Plus you pay for the postage - all care and no responsibility - will never buy again - Buyer Beware !!!!!

Would not recommend or re purchase

Would not recommend or re purchase from this site.
I ordered a two piece strapless top and shorts and the quality is terrible.
Looks like Temu or some local market in Bali.
Made in a sweat shop, smells like vinegar and really disappointed in this item.
Worth about $14.00 with a $79.00 price tag.

I absolutely love Billy J

I absolutely love Billy J in general, amazing quality clothing. I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant, my husband ordered two of the same dress in different sizes to surprise for an upcoming wedding. He didn’t realize it was store credit for returns if something didn’t fit, unfortunately for me the dresses didn’t fit, I reached out to customer service and Courtney totally took care of the situation with such kindness and promptness. 10/10 cannot recommend this company enough!!!

The best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time

Absolutely exceptional customer service!

Oh my gosh, I can't recommend them highly enough! I'd ordered a jumpsuit that had a bright and bold pattern - unfortunately the one I received was mostly white on top, which wasn't the look I was hoping for based on the website picture. My interactions with Brooke in customer service about my concern were exceptional - amazingly quick response, warm and very helpful. I ended up ordering another one of the same piece; it's much closer to what I was hoping for, so I'll return the original. And their delivery time is incredible - three days from Australia to San Diego! I very much look forward to purchasing from them again, and would encourage anyone and everyone to do the same!

Poor customer service

I purchased 2 bodysuits in error as I was shopping from the image and did not realise it was a bodysuit because the photo the model is wearing jeans and it looked like a cropped baby tee.
I have opened my package today and realised and as I have gone to return I can now see that is not possible. I have lost nearly $100 and customer service has been very disappointing to deal with. I was not even asking for a refund but a store credit to purchase more items.
Please be careful purchasing as they have no note on the product page regarding return policy for bodysuits and you can only find this information by searching for it two pages away.

The quality is hit and miss

The quality seems to be very hit and miss with this company. I have purchased several items and some have been nice, others have unfortunately been really poor. It is worth noting they have a misleading refunds policy with certain clauses, so purchase with caution here.

Unimpressed with customer service

Unimpressed with customer service. Made 2 orders within 2wks due to large being too small (short/top set). Happily returned for another order and other items. Second order had to return again due to L being too large this time on different item. Requested if they could offer me a 15% DC due to double shipping and min spend of $150 but customer serviced refused based on policy. I found it a bit rough seeing as the cost of their items is extremely low with a high turnover of sales.

I was pleasantly surprised at how…

I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my items arrived! I live in Canada so I was expecting at least a 3 week wait for them but they arrived in just 5 days,even with a delay!
The dresses are gorgeous and of very good quality. Unfortunately,I miss read the size chart! I looked at the UK size rather than the US so they are a bit small. They are now my incentive to loose weight!

I am extremely disappointing

I am extremely disappointed with my experience dealing with Billy J, particularly their customer service team.

Will not be purchasing or recommending BIlly J in the future.

While the brand presents itself as polished and customer-focused, the reality is quite the opposite. Communication from their support team was consistently generic, impersonal, and unhelpful. Each response felt like a copy-and-paste template rather than a genuine attempt to understand or resolve my issue.

Their returns and delivery processes also feel completely disjointed and poorly managed. Instead of a smooth, customer friendly experience, it created unnecessary frustration and confusion at every step.

There was a clear lack of accountability and effort to provide a meaningful solution. Rather than addressing my concerns directly, I was met with repetitive, scripted replies that did nothing to progress the situation. It left me feeling unheard and undervalued as a customer.

For a brand operating in such a competitive space, I expected a far higher standard of care and professionalism. Unfortunately, my experience reflects a customer service approach that is disengaged, impersonal, and lacking even basic empathy.

I would strongly recommend that Billy J reassess both their customer support and their operational processes, as this level of service does not align with the expectations set by their brand.
