This is my third bike sold with this platform over the years. I have bought on this platform also three times. I couldnt be happier, well priced for the advertisement which is reasonable and always a buyer/seller who fits well. Well done Bikesales.

Buyers that came through bike sales were more reasonable and appreciated my bike a lot more than those that came through other platforms.

I sold my bike on Facebook markeplace. Bikesales is too expensive and 2 inquiries vs 100+ on Facebook marketplace which is free.

Very easy to setup add and great exposure.

Easy process to advertise with plenty of helpful hints to get the best exposure to prospective buyers.
Great reach.

Easiest website to use, to find the exact type of motorcycle or car, that you are looking for, anywhere in Australia.

Pretty good for second hand bikes.
very expensive as a seller, specially compared to much the same results on FB marketplace.

The only bad vibe is so many new bike dealers quoting prices including GST but excluding other government and miscellaneous delivery charges and not listing them, making it hard to compare prices.

edit: they include GST but it seems the actual bikesales team is creating promotions that are not including delivery charges. The ACCC has issued guidance on this and they say the intention is for commercial and otherwise dealers should be showing pricing so that they can be compared on an apples to apples basic. Creating promotions on behalf of dealers likes this makes the dealers look bad when you call them up with, after a short explanation, completely wrong price. I have a case with the ACCC in regards to this issue, trivially including screenshots of said promotions.

Site continuously blocks my Telstra IP range.

I cannot browse for potential bikes to buy without getting a "you have been blocked" message.

The site is a joke, blocking a IP range/subnet because someone "is using a VPN, blocking javascript or using robot scraping tools" on a site to sell motorbikes is ridiculous.

Not impressed for the money you pay for to advertise on bikesales. For advertising a motorcycle thats less than 5k it should only cost $20.

I do not recommend.

it sold on here as it is the major forum. There isn't enough oversight of adds. people put them in as a lower price to avoid carsales cost and then put in description higher price. this tells me not enough oversight and to expensive

Extremely poor sellers notification system.
All emails informing me that someone wished to talk ended up in spam.
I hadn't marked them as junk, so clearly the generated emails are composed so poorly that spam filters block them.
I lost multiple possible buyers because i don't check my spam folders daily/hourly.
Contacted customer service with this issue, they didn't seem to really care.

UPDATE: Even after removing bikesales from spam filter its still being marked as spam due to the horrible generated email addresses they send messages from. I have now lost 5 enquires due to this.

The good folk at Bikesales have been most helpful, patient and understanding. I could not be happier with their assistance in guiding me through the process. Great work team Bikesales 👍.

Just too expensive using Carsales network, either Bikesales or Carsales. It's not the only platform for selling and I didn't sell any of 3 vehicles through there network.
Uploading photos is a nightmare, keeps crashing, loosing your advert and photos, damn annoying and this has happened for years.

Ease of access for making edits and detailed marketing reports. Also a good source for research and information.

Bikesales was very good , helpful and easy to do the ad .
Have used Bikesales & Carsales very often .

Overpriced, useless website with no traffic, can't keep up with the ages yet costs the most. Times have changed, get with it.

I am very fortunate to have sold to a fair honest couple who knew exactly what they were doing and made the process flawless. Thankyou bike sales :)
