Beware

We had Big Man Moving, move our belongings to a storage unit in June and then to our permanent residence a few weeks ago. We couldn’t tell the condition of everything in the storage unit, but once they moved it here we saw that 99% of our furniture was damaged as well as some of our fragile items. When we filed a claim with their insurance company, they came back that they would give us $50. We had thousands of dollars of furniture damaged. Strong suggestion not to have this company move you.

I used Big Man's Moving to my by 3 bedroom house locally from largo to Clearwater. Couldn't have been better!! The crew was on time and very professional. The move went perfectly no damage and my back appreciated not having to lift anything!! 10/10 would highly recommend!!

We hired Big Man's Moving for a local…

We hired Big Man's Moving for a local job from Tampa to St. Pete. The team did great and worked really hard in this summer heat. The move had no issues and they really took the time to ensure all of our furniture was protect. A+

WARNING

IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!

BE AWARE THAT BIG MAN’S MOVING CLEARWATER, FL CAN SHOW UP TO MOVE ALL OF YOUR BELONGINGS, ONLY TO TAKE SOME AND LEAVE YOU STANDING AT THE CURB WITH NO RECOURSE.
BIG MAN’S MOVING CAUSED MAJOR DAMAGE TO OUR BELONGING AND DENIES, DENIES, DENIES!

We hired Big Man’s Moving for a long-distance move from Florida to a storage unit in Sanford, NC.

I had wanted the move to occur on 12-20-24 but was asked by Big Man’s to change it to 12-19-24, the movers had a big move the following week and needed a break in between. With this date change, we cannot be present in NC when the truck arrives at storage. I was assured that there would be no complications.

On 12-19-24, 2 men from Big Man’s load ¾ of belongings and say “we can’t fit the rest”, “leave the rest behind”. SERIOUSLY. This is the option from Nick, Big Man’s specialist.
Due to this error in Big Man’s guestimation, we were forced to rent a U-Haul and move the rest ourselves. Moving is stressful enough and Big Man’s made it worse.

THERE IS SO MUCH MORE CONTENT TO THIS STORY BUT RAN OUT OF CHARACTER SPACE.

Now it is 2-7-25 and moving into our new home.

PRESENT at storage from START to FINISH to view belongings being removed. While unloading I saw crushed boxes no damage so far. Atop a wall of boxes I see a wood piece completely broken off from an armoire. Past the boxes, the armoire sitting on a tilt due to the broken bottom. A desk is completely broken and unsalvageable. The way our belongings were loaded in this storage unit was clearly without any care in mind.
The last items are two large metal garage cabinets, a huge smash in the front metal doors, and a large gash in the side of the cabinet.

So much damage to so many items.
SO HEART WRENCHING!

Now in our new home still finding damage.

Several email communications with Big Man's Moving, emailing pictures of damage.

No accountability and no restitution from Big Man's Moving.
COMPLETE DENIABILITY!

ALSO REACHED OUT BY TEXT TO ONE OF THE MOVERS WITH MY DAMAGE PICTURES, NO REPLY...TELLS ME ADMISSION OF GUILT!

WHICHEVER MOVING COMPANY YOU CHOOSE ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU NEED TO BE A BABYSITTER TO ENSURE THAT YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS MAKE IT FROM POINT A TO POINT B IN ONE PIECE!

Ours certainly DID NOT!
