Absolutely shocking service watched…

Absolutely shocking service watched David jason yes we had restricted seats but the props used on stage were completely blocking our view , at £85 a ticket we find this very poor and could have easily been resolved, had emails from Kayleigh a supervisor who didn’t want to know and basically said she can’t help and she will be closing the case !! Also false information given online about the seating plan which showed no seats infront of me when we arrived there was ! Terrible service when we are regular visitors there

Tickets

Have two tickets, middle of front row, to see Jason Manford, but am unable to attend. I contacted BH Live to ask for a transfer of the value, or a resale, any help at all. No leeway whatsoever. Disappointing, no concern for their customers. The tickets will just be wasted and Jason Manford will be performing to a two seat empty space in front of him.

Resolved Self Inflicted Ticket Issue

Long story (fairly) short ...

- In early 2024 we paid for tickets to the Jeff Wayne War Of The Worlds show 2025.
- Recieved etickets and confirmation by email straight away and dutifully saved them to my phone.
- I didn't create an online account with them as the venue is 154 miles away and we thought, in all probability, the purchase would be a one off. (I'd strongly recommend that EVERYONE creates an account/retains access to tickets/details and help reduce possible stress later)
- Several months later ... my phone died (along with my etickets on it etc.)
- I thought I was going to have a nightmare gaining access to the "lost" tickets.
- In stepped Lauren, Ticketing Supervisor. What an absolute LEGEND!
- She was uber quick to reply to my email query, polite, friendly, professional and super efficient.
- Couple of emails later and this particular "Cinders" WILL be going to the ball, or rather War Of The Worlds.

Thank you BH Live - and, in particular, the AWESOME Lauren.

Box Office Not Very Well Managed IMO - Please Be Wary

Please be wary when buying tickets for events at the Bournemouth International Centre or Pavilion, as this company thinks it's acceptable to postpone shows for a year at a time (twice), to not e-mail you or even mention the rescheduled show on social media at all in the 12 months leading-up to the date when it actually takes place, and then refuse a refund if you fail to tell them you can't attend any later than two-or-three months before that date.

So, they do nothing whatsoever to remind you for an entire year, and if, for instance, your family availability changes or any ailments come up (two-and-a-half years after you first booked tickets in my case), it's a case of 'tough'. More-pressing events, a very serious illness, death, it doesn't seem to matter to them; you'll just get to speak to a highly obnoxious school-leaver (derogatory term, not literal) who'll fob you off in a curt manner and then cut you off.

There's apparently no-one in management to speak to about it either, so frankly there's no point in emailing a complaint, seeing as you can't be sure that the junior staff aren't the gatekeepers of such things. And if you try to call the number listed on Google for the venue in general, you just get a very short message alluding to Covid, but with no real point and no options either. So, well over two years on from the start of the pandemic, it seems that companies such as this are still using it as an excuse to offer a sub-standard and thinly-spread service.

Okay, so no-one knew the pandemic was coming, but how can it be fair or right that I'M to be penalised for not knowing at the time I booked tickets how many of my party-of-five might be unable to attend a show that won't end-up taking place until 30 months later? Yes, these are unprecedented times, but that surely calls for more understanding on both sides; on mine that's accepting the delay, and on theirs it's a slackening of the rules?

That isn't the only point though, as it seems obvious to me that if shows are going to be postponed, venues or ticket sellers should assume responsibility for notifying anyone who bought a ticket about the rescheduled show a month-or-two before it's set to go ahead. I mean, some people might have even forgotten about the gig, especially if we're talking about it being put-off for the best part of a year.

Pantomime was cancelled but not getting FULL refund

Pantomime was cancelled due to pandemic, BH Live are refunding my tickets but not the ticket insurance I brought or their admin fee so i'm £6.50 out of pocket through no fault of my own. Lady on phone advised its in their t&c's which I have checked and it is so no point in me complaining to them. Checked if I could get the admin fee back on the insurance but it doesnt cover if the venue cancel only if I had cancelled so I may as well have not brought the insurance and I would have only lost the admin fee. Not fair or clear to have this hidden away in small print.
