Brilliant solutions based company

Brilliant solutions based company. Had a PIV unit installed to reduce condensation which didn’t work well at first, they came back to do extra work at no additional charge until a solution was found.

Installation of PIV unit

From initial enquiry to installation, Better Indoors have been nothing but helpful, knowledgeable and totally professional.
Andrew answered our many questions patiently, promptly and thoroughly. Loredana handled the admin helpfully and efficiently and their engineer was, as you would expect from this company, a skilled and courteous professional who worked to a high standard. The PIV unit is now running, completely silently, and we have every confidence, following Andrew’s recommendation, that the results will be favourable in resolving g our problem.
We would thoroughly recommend this company.

Excellent and honest advice

I spoke to Andrew at length about the pros and cons of installing an Air Source Heat Pump. He was most helpful and honest about the options. Unfortunately due to advancing years (!) I felt it was not an economical solution in the short term, 10 years younger and I am sure we would have gone ahead with the work

Better Indoors home ventilation

Andrew Hobbs from Better Indoors answered a google request from me and my wife about persistent condensation on the windows of our bungalow. He visited us and suggested a solution from better indoors would solve the problem. He was very courteous, polite, knowledgeable and helpful in outlining the solution to our problem. We agreed that his system was better than any others that we’d heard of. We had their ventilation system installed shortly afterwards and immediately it was wonderful and, yes, all condensation has disappeared. Since then their after sales service has been excellent, from supplying replacement filters to visits over any initial concerns about our system. These concerns are minor and rare, but Andrew and his wife Loredana both care about making sure that our better indoors experience is the absolute best that it can be. The system involves circulating fresh air around the bungalow and it gives us both a fresher and more invigorating atmosphere to live in and is also very good at keeping COVID at bay. We would heartily recommend Better Indoors for solutions to your ventilation and air conditioning problems. Michael & Ellen Kurawski.

Excellent design and installation

Right from the first meeting, we had confidence that we were in good hands. All was explained with the pros and cons of each option. On the day, the team turned up punctually, checked out the finer details and quietly got on with the job. They were adaptive in their approach and came up with a better design that concealed all pipes and wires right from the outside to the upstairs bedroom. Although this gave the team more work, they gave us a great result. They ended the day with a thorough clean up and explanation of the best operation of the units. We couldn’t fault the excellence of the installation and would recommend Better Indoors to anyone wanting the best. Thankyou Andrew and team.

Trustworthy company

After getting quotes and checking out different companies, Andrew from 'Better Indoors' came to carry out a survey on our property. He then explained everything in great detail in Laymans terms what would be sufficient for our property. Andrew is very knowledgeable. We received a quote later in the day, which wasn't the cheapest but we felt with his knowledge it generally made us feel that he and his team could do a good job. Andrew and one of his fitters arrived on time on the day of installation and carried out the work efficiently and tidily.
Very impressed with the work carried out to a very high standard ( and we are quite particular) .Once we had informed Andrew we wanted Better Indoors to carry out the Installation, we were kept updated from order to fitting.
We recommend this company.

Stay away from Better indoors

Hired Better indoor services for air conditioners installation. Paid upfront 50% deposit.
The appointment for installation was changed by them 3 times ( 1st reason that company delivered the wrong Equipment, than 2 further cancellations because company could not deliver due to high demand although before confirming the job Mr Andrew, the company’s managing director reassured me that he has good relations with the company and equipment should be delivered in no time) in 2 weeks and on the day of installation I was told that my work could not be completed on the same day due to shortage of staff and may be completed next day or 3rd day.
The electrical work was done on the first appointment but could not do the installation as wrong equipment was delivered. The reason they did the electrical work was to save time on the day of installation according to Mr Andrew and still on the day they said that they cannot complete the work.
After 3 cancellations I told them to refund my money as they were very disorganised and couldn’t keep up with their appointments, they deducted £550 for the electrical work which is useless for me as the air conditioners were not installed and on asking them to return this amount, I was told to go and complain to a judge.
Never seen such rude and disorganised company who scammed me in charging for the electrical work, for which I had no control as they deducted it from the deposit.
Please stay away from them.

Dear Nadeem.
Our policy is to send our electrical contractor prior to the main AC installation work as this saves time. This is what we did in this instance and this was advised to you beforehand which you accepted. You paid our deposit after being advised of this.
As was explained to you our manufacturer delivered incorrect units and wasnt able to get the correct units to us for a few days. This forced us to move your original installation date. After all we cannot install units without actually having the units. This circumstance was completely beyond our control and yet you place the blame squarely on us with comments like "if I knew it would delay this much I would not have ordered" and "Exactly whats the point of having the heat fixed after the heatwave has gone. The wave is this week". Your response to this delay, which we understand must have been very frustrating for you, was in our opinion unreasonable. Also when agreeing to the rescheduling you stated you expected all the work to be done on the day and that you would not accept any further delays.
The delivery delay had a knock on effect with our other client commitments forcing us to reschedule at short notice which combined with staff absences due to holiday meant we were not able to provide the usual number of staff for the day your installation was rescheduled for which happened to be the day after we received the correct units. In other words your installation was placed at the top of our priority list once we had your units. When we arrived at your property with all the equipment (x3 3.5 kW indoor units and x1 10kW outdoor unit) given your prior remarks we felt it prudent to inform you that we would not be able to complete the work on the day but would return the next day and even the day after if that turned out to be necessary. You had already left to Saudi Arabia but your family remained in your house. We stated it would most likely be completed the following day but it was difficult to predict without a full complement of staff. You decided to cancel the entire installation after the work had already started (electrical installation) simply because we told you the work would take maybe a day longer. We were honest and upfront about this fact.
We find your decision bizarre especially as your family are the ones who would be benefitting as this heat wave is still ongoing and has not passed as you incorrectly stated it would. Had you proceeded your system would be in and running by now. We have every right to cover our costs for work already performed in the event of a cancellation for reasons that are beyond our control.

Would like to thank Andrew for…

Would like to thank Andrew for resolving a rather bad mould issue that we had. Our agency got in touch with Andrew and his firm and rather quickly work was carried out (recently started our young family therefore dates had to be sorted out sooner rather than later). The system that was installed works wonders, and seems to have solved our problems which is amazing. The system itself is rather quiet which was surprising but a huge positive, the cabling is discreet and the boxing in does not look out of place at all. The system itself can be slightly tweaked if needed and is really simple to navigate around (I wouldn’t adjust any settings without prior discussing it with Andrew as they are set up to specific parameters to ensure it works as it should). To conclude, the work was done professionally and courteously, and we were reassured that if we had any concerns or questions, the team will always be there to help when needed. Thanks again Andrew!

Better Indoors removed our ventilation woes.

We chose Better Indoors from two quotes we had. We also had one recommendation re:BI. Now we are so glad we did! Andrew provided an excellent and accurate survey of our 2-bed flat, and gave some good advice on the solution to our condensation and mould problem areas. The work was done quickly, cleanly and professionally by our installer, and we are very pleased with the result. The discret electrical cabling to supply the fans was a bonus; so thank you for that. Although we are only a few weeks in to having our PIV installation we are very satisfied with the results and can see our ventilation woes disappearing as the winter arrives. Would definitely recommend BI.

Honest and excellent service

We had an honest quote from better indoors explaining details of the mould and damp in my 3 bedroom house.
We were told the reasons for the mould and ways to get rid of them in the most honest and sincere manner.
We opted for better indoors despite the cost been higher than the previous quote we had from another supplier because of the detailed free survey and honest information. I was convinced better indoors knows exactly what the issues are and the solution to them.
The work was carried out promptly and neatly.
I will recommend Better Indoors to any one experiencing mould and damp in their property.
