Expired beer
I have ordered and received beer from this webshop several times. In one of my most recent orders, two of the beers were past their expiration date, so I sent them an email about it. Now, more than a month later, I still haven’t received any response from them.
Great Experience – Fast Delivery to the UK, But Watch for Import Fees
I recently placed my first order with Beer Republic and, to be honest, I was a little skeptical at first. Some of the reviews about international shipping, especially to the UK, were mixed, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, I was pleasantly surprised. My order arrived within a week, which was much quicker than I anticipated.
The only downside was an unexpected import duty of around £20, which added a bit more to the total cost. That said, I reached out to their team on Instagram and they were really responsive and positive about the delivery experience, which helped reassure me.
One of the highlights of my order was getting my hands on Twisted Tea, something that’s incredibly hard to find in the UK. I really hope Beer Republic continues to stock it, because it’s a favourite I usually have to go without.
Overall, I’d give the experience 4 out of 5 stars. Fast delivery, great customer service, and hard-to-find drinks make it worth it, just be prepared for potential customs charges.
Worst customer experience
Made an order to be delivered to my address in the UK. The order was for over £50. UK customs held the package because the sender hadn’t paid the correct customs charge. Custom said that they had contacted the sender but didn’t get a response so sent the package back to the sender. I have contacted them multiple times and had no response. I’ve never received my beer and I’ve never got a refund! Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
Fast delivery of nice beers
Very nice selection of beers and sometimes also good discounts. Fast delivery of a large order and neatly delivered by DPD. Only some beers were forgotten, but after contacting customer service, these beers were sent very quickly with something extra.
Nothing to complain about
Beer Republic have a range of American beers I can't get elsewhere here in Germany. Although the company is based in the Netherlands, the delivery is always very fast. As to the best before dates, the stated date usually is the date one year after the canned on date indicated on the can, which in my view is fair practice.

As all orher comments … expired beers received… cheap on website but prefer to pay more and have tasty ipa cans.
Terrible service
Terrible service, flat beer and have no business being attached to a Mantra hotel.
Expired beer
As several other reviews has already commented on, the beer is expired. I ordered four different beers and all of them were 11 months old. The hoppy flavors tend to fade after about 6 months.
Do not order from this store
Recently I placed an order for a few beers which were send to the wrong address (system used the old address but I moved a while back). When asking for help to resolve this issue there reply was contact the people where it was send to. Very poor customer service would stay away from buying from them.
Completely ripped off
Completely ripped off. Advertised 320 Baht for bottle of cider fine. Then a 10% service charge and + 7% Vat. Total of 376 Baht for 1 bottle. First and last time I'll go inside. Do yourself a favour, walk straight past it
Expired beers
Only opened 5 so far... two are expired for >6 months. Sure you can doubt the expire dates, but you will not pay a shitload of money (100 euro) to drink doubtful beer...
Advent Calendar 2023
Received my Advent Calendar 2023 today. Received faster than they actually stated and customer service answers my questions quickly and accurately.
The Advent Layout is fantastic again this year!
Best selection of beers online that delivers to France
I'm used to order beers on french e-shop, but the beer selection of Beer Republic is just on a higher level. Some of the beers they sell are pure sorcery such as Siren from Mortalis (it's like a smoothie with grease, the best smoothie of my life with little doubt) or the Origin of Darkness series from Collective Arts. They send the orders very fast. And deal with customer complains easily.
As for people talking about some beers being expired. So what? It's not "use by" but "best before". And it doesn't mean it's better before this date but that the stability of the product is guaranteed optimal before this date. it's a way to remove the responsibility of the producer if the product's stability failed after this date (like a yogurt that'd be a bit more sour). You can eat yogurts 2 months past the date, most of the time they'll be just as good. Same thing with chocolate, fermented cheese or beer.
Trouble with VAT
I ordered Tesla GigaBeer, my order was includ VAT
"Include IVA del 8% e spedizione gratuita"
But local customs was charge extra payment(TAX),
beerrepublic agreed to refund me only part of the money I spent.
Misleading Expiry Dates
Unfortunately BeerRepublic has a nasty habit of playing fast and loose with expiry dates. I had bought a pack of beers from Gigantic in the US, only to find the dates listed on their website were wrong and the beer had already been expired for months! When I asked them about it they stated the dates they list are "their estimation," as if they know better than the actual brewer! Based on the other reviews it seems this is a common practice of theirs.

I think you should do a better job of informing your costumers about canning dates. This problem is most explicit on brewery bundle packs, where nothing is written about canning date. As an example, today 12/1/22, I have recieved a NEIPA canned on 21/2/21 !!! On average the 6 can bundle from Barriere Brewing, was canned 9-10 months ago. Not very fresh IPAs. So if you buy from BeerRepublic, be sure to only buy beers with date information.
Fast shipping though…
Strange store
They have a lovely website and an astounding range of rare beers. Shipping to the UK is affordable. However most of their beer are American imports and it appears most of them are in poor condition. Whatever the BB date on their site, you can assume the beer was canned a year before that date. So most of their hoppy beers, such as IPA, are 7-9 months old and well past their best. A great idea, but bad produce in the end. And very unsympathetic correspondence when asked for comment. A great shame.

Ordered for almost 400€ on their website for a company christmas party. Most of the orders were showcases for the different beer brands.
Almost all the beers had expired in best before date. Some of the beers even had been the date grinded off underneath.
Some of the beers were bought with discout. But nowhere there were a warning or information about the beer being old. IPAs and hoppy beer will loose so much of their flavour within the first few months, so many of the beers were not living up to the standard of the brewery.
Upon writing their support, no response is given for why they are selling beer past best before as being new beer.
I cannot recommend buying anything from here and i will never buy from this company ever again.
Great company
Super fast delivery from the Netherlands, a wide variety of beers to choose from at a price that suits everyone.
Thank you.
