I ordered £35 worth of beer but it simply hasn’t arrived. I have sent 2 chaser emails but have been fobbed off with a 10% discount code for my next order. I simply don’t understand why internet companies are being so complacent. I would have been a regular customer ordering at least every six weeks or so. I’ll give my business to Amazon now who have after sales service you can rely on. Avoid this company at all costs.

Fantastic service and indeed beer

I am surprised to see negative reviews. I have ordered from Beer Merchants several times over the past two years. Delivery has always been quick and all orders have been complete. They have a good range of craft and imported beers, and are usually priced competitively compared with similar sellers. I would highly recommend them from my experiences.

Ordered some beers and matching glasses as a present. Beers arrived without the glasses, with a note saying they weren't available. Glasses were showing in stock before and after my order, and even after the beers arrived. If I'd been notified in advanced that the glasses were out of stock I would have cancelled the order and used a different supplier. I know it sounds minor, but the glasses were an important part of the present and I had to pay another delivery charge to source the glasses elsewhere.

Received a phone call and was old that the beer with the expired date may be a manufactured date. Out of all the beer I've drank if there is only 1 date on the beer then this is normally the best before date Ben from Beer Merchants said he would het back to me and head nothing even after emailing again. Yet again poor communication.

My wife brought me some beer for an Xmas present. Upon arrival there was one beer missing which my wife was charged for.
My wife then rang the company and they said ‘oh do you want to refund’ A refund should’ve been given a refund straightaway and should not need to ask. If I had not of noticed the beer was missing then I would’ve been charged for it.
I then opened one of the beers which was £9.20, quite an expensive beer. It didn’t taste very good and then I looked at the expiry date and it was April 2020. Selling beer that is nine months out of date is totally unacceptable. If a beer is out of date a customer should be made aware upon ordering.
After these two issues I certainly will not be ordering from this company again ss this calls into question their honesty and integrity and I do not recommend them. I’ll be ringing the manager and asking for an explanation and a refund for the out of date beer.

I was sent a mixed case of beer from them by way of my aunt as a gift and reordered another case shortly after myself. Quality beer, good selection and I've had no problems with deliveries. Highly recommend.

Simple - do not order anything from this company!
Ordered some beer as a present... opened box and surprise surprise - one of the item was missing!!! Send email and message on FB - no response. Called them and was offered “if you want we can refund the money for the missing beer as it’s out of stock”
Really, do you really think I will donate it to your company???
Try to find out the complain procedure, but the person on the phone informed that it’s him and I can complain to him.
The rudeness and dishonest with zero compassion- that it was my experience with this company!
Ps. And moreover, it’s the second time that item was missing and fully charged by company! First time could be a mistake, but second... dishonest hobby!

Don't order anything from this company. Was given a £40 gift voucher as a present. My order totalled just over £50. Entered the code and had a balance of £10.50 odd to pay. Website wouldn't allow payment of the £10.50 but took the £40 gift voucher. I have contacted Beer merchants 3 times and over a week later they still have not responded. I checked the status of my order. Initially it said 'Pending Payment' but after I sent my 1st e-mail I checked the status again and it said 'Order Cancelled' but they took the £40. They have saw my e-mail, ignored it completely but have taken £40. Left with no products and £40 has essentially been stolen by this company. I can't emphasis enough how much you should avoid these thieves. Trading standards have now been contacted.

Not the cheapest, but a great range of quality beers focused on Northern Europe.

Packing is excellent, delivery quick, usually within 48 hours.

I've only had one occasion out of many orders to contact their customer service (a minor mistake in an order), and the issue was resolved within 24 hours, the missing item arriving in that timescale. Strongly recommended.

I rang up beer merchants on the 18th June 2020 to see how long a delivery took, spoke to a young man who said if I get the order in at 1pm I should get the next day. I did so and beer came 11.15am. Fast delivery beers all intact. Right order super pleased with the overall service. Thank you to all at beer merchants who helped! Will use again. Can't say how beers taste due to a gift. But I'm sure he will be super happy!

I have ordered a few times now during lockdown and each time the service, delivery and product has been excellent.

The first order was of a mixed case of German lager and a mixed case of Kona Brewing Co beers (longboard, Hanalei and big wave).

The second was a mixed case of German lager as a gift for my Dad and the third and latest order was of 30 bottles of Paulaner Munich Hells.

The most recent haul was ordered on Tuesday and arrived today!

Also... with the 60+ bottles I have received, non of them have been close to or over the expiration date.

In this time of lockdown the arrival of a case of beer lifts ones spirits and the beer merchants case certainly does that. A very varied bunch of beers this month, bitters, IPAs, sours, dunkels, a truly classic German helles and a salted caramel porter. Beers from all over Europe, all interesting, all top quality. I am impressed.

Ordered a dozen bottles of German lager from here during the Covid lockdown.
All arrived undamaged and within 4 working days despite the restrictions. Would reccomend.

Ordered Wednesday evening, delivered Friday morning. Excellent price , safe packaging of my favourite Belgian beer, thoroughly recommended.

sold me 24 cans of beer with only two days sell by date left,canned six months ago,the can says drink fresh,told its ok to drink when i emailed them

Received order with items not as advertised, have emailed back twice now with no response, terrible customer service considering how much I have already spent with you. Will be returning goods due to the unwillingness to resolve my issue.

Have bought from this company over the years. Changed last year as they didn't have the stock and were more expensive than competitors.
Despite announcing 'January Sales' I find they are still more expensive than other companies. They will have to improve.

I started using Beer Merchants after terrible service from another beer delivery company. My last order was for 18 beers in November. As per usual the order came exactly as I expected and on time. I was given an expected time slot which was met. They would have gotten 5 stars for this order but one of the beers was in a large bottle which had been packed in a way which meant it was lucky it hadn't smashed. That bit of carelessness could have ruined the order.
