Our reputation as one of the country’s leading MG Specialists is one that we are extremely proud of and one which we intend to preserve and develop by constantly providing our customers with friendly, honest and value-for-money service. Beech Hill Garage was established in 1979 by Ted and Sally de la Rivière. Ted spent the late 1950s and the 1960s working as a Grand Prix and sports racing car mechanic with notable names such as Chris Amon, Mike Hailwood and Paul Hawkins. In this period, he worked on many interesting cars including the ERA R4D, Lotus 25, Ferrari 250LM and Lola T70s. Ted and Sally retired in 2002, and the company is now run by their son Will, with his wife Louise, still from the same village garage just south of Reading, Berkshire. As you might expect, Will has been around interesting cars from a very early age, though qualified as an Architect in 1997 before he took the opportunity to run the family business from 2001. Will, Louise and today’s team continue to develop the company by offering a complete range including servicing, renovation, sales or storage for the classic car owner with any age of vehicle; from the vintage era to the ‘modern’ MG Rover cars. Our service operation is fronted by longstanding customer-come-colleague Tom, supported by four technicians with a combined experience of over 100 years. Between them, John, Andy, Carl and Harry can tune your SU carburettors, change your KV6 cambelts or carry out a complete nut and bolt restoration. Our Sales Manager, Alex, will very gladly guide you towards the right car for you from our select range of truly high-quality cars for sale.
