Fantastic Caring Expertise

Douglas attended my emergency within an hour and fixed everything in an effective, professional and empathetic manner. I rate Bedford Boilers absolutely top notch. Reliable, efficient and absolutely SPOT ON

Let down twice, time wasted

Let down twice.

Booked earlier in the year, sadly the appointment was cancelled the day before the appointment, which was annoying to say the least.

Booked again recently for a 9AM slot, 10AM still no show. Having called thier number found on the website, I was informed that my appointment was a 0900 to 1300 slot, and not the clearly indicated 9AM slot confirmed in my confirmation email, and that booked online, regardless, I cancelled the booking and got a refund for the deposit already taken. As I had booked an AM slot for a reason, and with Bedford Boilers track record I didnt want to wait and find them not turn up at all.

The Lady on the end of the phone didnt sound very professional, and to be honest sounded like she'd just gotten out of bed at near 10AM, I dont call your business number to have to ask if im speaking to Bedford Boilers, some simple business telephone answering skills are definelty required here.

2 stars because an attempt was made to rebook, and a discount offered on a further booking (which I will not be making) otherwise It'd be a lowly 1 star.

We’re genuinely sorry that you felt let down, particularly as this happened on more than one occasion. We fully understand how frustrating it is to have an appointment cancelled and then to feel uncertain about arrival times on a later booking. That’s not the experience we want any of our customers to have.

We are a small, family-run business, and all calls are handled by one person who covers the phone line 24/7 alongside managing bookings and day-to-day operations. That said, we appreciate your feedback regarding the phone call and accept that we should always sound clear, professional, and ready to help. This feedback has been taken on board.

During the call, it was explained that our online booking system was newly introduced and, unfortunately, your booking highlighted an error that we were not previously aware of regarding appointment times. Since this was brought to our attention, we have taken the booking system offline so further work can be done to prevent this happening again. We apologise for the confusion this caused.

If your confirmation showed a 9:00am appointment, we completely understand why you were expecting an arrival at that time and why waiting for an AM window wasn’t suitable. You were right to cancel under those circumstances, and we’re glad the deposit refund was processed promptly.

We genuinely do our very best to provide a reliable and friendly service, and we’re sorry that on this occasion we fell short. While we respect your decision not to rebook, we appreciate you acknowledging that an effort was made and for taking the time to leave honest feedback, which helps us improve going forward.

Radiator removed and replaced

I had a radiator removed because it was not heating up at all. This was replaced with a modern and more efficient radiator. The work was professionally carried out, with the minimum mess. The system was bled and balanced to ensure all radiators were working efficiently and were not just hot on the top but the bottom as well.
I would highly recommend Bedford Boilers.

Really great service from their whole…

Really great service from their whole team! My boiler stopped working and they came out the same day and got it back up and running. Highly recommend Douglas and his team.

Excellent service

Excellent service! Responsive and polite engineers who are skilled and arrive when they say they will. They fixed a blocked pipe in the most awkward position and left the place neat and tidy. Highly recommend these plumbers!
