Pestcos: Bed Bugs Gone Reviews 

Absolute bunch of cowboys. Do NOT use under any circumstances. They caused hundreds of pounds worth of damages to my home and refuse to take any responsibility even though I adhered to their list of disclaimers. They have been utterly unhelpful in trying to solve any problems. I will be taking this further.

It a worst service we paid 300£ and every time there Engineer come over , use to take 5 mints to spray over house I even complained on this they sent another one it’s a same story we are still struggling with bed bugs now they are suggesting heat treatment which costs 1000£ worst worst worst …,,,

We had wasps buzzing around our roofline in late August. It wasn't a problem to us but as our neighbour was complaining we decided to act. We called Pestcos who came out the same day within a few hours. They quoted me £135 which i thought was expensive but as we were desperate decided to let it go. At no point did they tell me this price excluded VAT. They actually told me that i would pay £135, when i asked them point blank. The actual cost was £162.The guy arrived who seemed pleasant enough, and looked at the roofline. Using a pole, (from ground level) and some gel he applied poison to the area and left. He was there about 5 minutes!
Thats when the fun really began! After about an hour of his leaving, we started getting wasps in the house. Despite all the windows being closed as per his instructions. We spent the afternoon dispatching drowsy wasps from the upstairs of our property. We eventually sealed the loft hatch, extractor fan, and any holes from the loft as that was where they were coming in. I called the company to let them know. their response was this is unusual and it must be a large infestation!!! Not what i wanted to hear. Over the next few days with all exits blocked for the wasps, activity decreased. However we discovered why, a few weeks later. They had moved nests to the front of our property, in an old tree stump. Not only had Pestcos not removed the problem they had actually made it worse for us by allowing wasps into the property. I would not use this company again. We have decided we can live with the current wasp nest as they don't bother us. Be very wary of this company. It is all about making money for very little effort.

I would give no star,s if possible. Total waste of money. We had a rat in garden and dispite there guarantee we still have and not only that we have according to the gentleman on the phone who was trying to get even more money out of us a massive infestation????? All this company want is your money. He suggested a contract at £900 where they would come out over the year to top up bait boxes.We have followed all there advice and we are back where we started.There garentee is not worth the paper it,s written on.

Amazing company is all I can say, I had a bed bug infestation from my next Door neighbour last year after herself and children being in my property and her never telling me she had them.
These guys come out and chemical treated a few times and then I went for the heat treatment costing me a fair bit of money as I had to buy all new furniture and beds etc l. After that day and all new furniture my life went back to normal. Until just a day ago when I was changing my sons bed and spotted one 😫… turns out my neighbour still has them and they’re now coming through our loft and any small gaps that are joining our property’s together.
I rang is such distress early in the morning mortified of what I’d found.. and WOW the lovely lady I spoke to was just incredible.. regrettably I really can’t remember her name as I didn’t write it down.. but within an hour I had a technician turn up who herself was amazing and so understanding as I was flapping around trying to get things sorted for her as I was not expecting her to turn up so quick, even offering to help me with my children and stuff.
She chemically treated my entire property including my loft.
And can I just point out the main thing here! My guarantee with these guys ran out in January it’s now JULY! I just couldn’t physically afford to pay out for heat treatment again or chemical sprays this day straight off and this amazing customer service lady went and spoke to her manager and they gave me a good will gesture and come out the SAME day within an HOUR for FREE.

I am writing to say how much we are pleased with the service we received from Pestcos in July 2020. The young lad that attended our house was super polite and carried out his duties with professionalism and discretion. I am sorry that I didn’t remember his name as he is a credit to your Company.

As advised we opted for the ‘Heat Treatment’ and after one visit we were troubled no longer with the Bug Infestation.

Moved to a new property only to discover 2 weeks later it was full of bedbugs. I bought cheap stuff from screwfix hoovered and sprayed, washed and tumble dried all bedding on hot. Put all clothes in a new shed outside and so so much more. It seemed to work but I wanted to make sure. I called this company and booked a day. The chap that came was professional, he listened to my worries and did an amazing job. He said I'd done well with what I'd done and that he hadn't seen any live ones but advised that we had to sleep in all the bedrooms to encourage them out of hiding and for them to crawl over the treatment. In the first week I found 2 live ones and week 2 I found 3 spots on the edge of my sheets but no bites or blood so they died quickly after climbing up. They have ALL GONE and we've finally put carpets in and brought our clothes in from outside. I'm so happy. The customer service on the phone needs working on, I missed the first time as they refused to tell the guy coming to not come at dinner so I could work for one hour at a school, the second day they also refused to tell him but I got family to stay in for me and he came then. He was just finishing when I returned from work and I was very impressed with him and had every confidence that he'd done a good job. Thank you so much for clearing me of bed bugs. Do all you can before they come and you will also have success with ridding yourself of theses horrible bugs, the more the better.

This company promised to do a retreat if my bedbug problem still remained after the heat treatment. But when I called them they refused to do another heat treatment and just sprayed my house. Few weeks later my bed bug problem still remains and they refuse to do anything without further payment. Cost me over 1k to get the treatment done. Money down the drain.

Please do not use this company!!

I have received heat treatment in two bedrooms and a spray around the house for around £900. The treatment started around 9-10 am, and was told we couldn't come back to the house till 7pm. Once we came back, the first thing my sister found on her mattress was bed bugs and live eggs behind her backboard. I instantly called PESTCOS, and they told me that there might be 1 or 2 stragglers although on the website, it states it'll eradicate them within first try. (First Lie).

I then went in my bedroom after the call, and saw a hole in my wall and my mirror laying upwards with one of it's corners in the wall. The mirror had been knocked down during the process and just left there. Staples were also left in our door frame.

We also asked for a discreet service, and PESTCOS offered the discreet service and promised us this discreet service. Around 7:30AM, the man parked slap bang outside my house for about an hour after repeatedly calling PESTCOS to ask him to move. After talking to him personally he moved to the bottom of my road. After us leaving, he then moved his van back in front of our house. Their van is plastered with all their adverts of what they do and who they are. (Second Lie).

We was also told that two people would be conducting this treatment, and it was just one man. We have audio recordings from our CCTV of him talking on the phone constantly, when he should be doing the job I am paying £900 for. (Third Lie).

I then called them up today regarding the heightened activity of the bed bugs since our treatment. They're now putting it down to the fact our living room was only sprayed. Here are a few facts to why that is complete lies. Our living room is open plan with the kitchen upstairs. We only have a sofa and a TV upstairs in the living room. Our sofa is brand new. The company said we can't receive heat treatment upstairs any way, due to our high ceilings. The lady then said the spray treatment would be fine as our sofa is new and there isn't a lot in the living room. (fourth and Fifth Lie).

I would suggest not to use this company, and I will be adding photos to the google review.

DO NOT USE THEM!!!

I would give no stars if I could.
The company's advice on trying a heat treatment, and then on spacing between treatments, was poor, and resulted in our paying over £1000 to no effect.
Two of the three service personnel did not seem well trained to deal with the problem.
The service was argumentative and not solution oriented.
Not a consumer oriented company.
They don't have my trust.

Pages of words too small to read. Now I know why..... My slatted blinds in 2 rooms completely ruined in the heat despite the man saying on the phone the consultant would advise on what else to remove from the room. Before treatment!
Bedside light damaged obviously knocked off. Contacted the company... Their response was basically tough... You've signed a disclaimer.
I feel this company exploit people when they are obviously desperate to get a problem sorted

Came to eradicate bed bugs in October. First visit sprayed every room. Said to get rid of mattress and bed from one room. We did. They said they would return in 4 weeks but did not say we had to make another appointment
No improvement so telephoned them in two weeks. They said it was normal and made an appt to come in two weeks. They came and said we needed to throw out the new mattress and bed. We asked them to come and check again but they said ‘no’ it would be clear in two weeks
We It wasn’t but they refused to come back
Had to get a another company said obviously the first company did a very poor job and failed to give satisfactoryyservice.

Excellent service from BedBugs gone. Got rid of my horrible issue quickly and promptly.

Needed help with disposal of dead animal on our property; team turned up as promised, handled the matter swiftly and efficiently.

Felt tricked - we suspect a wasps nest and had some activity during the heat spell the other week. I specifically asked if it was a bad time of year to call and whether we should wait until summer, considering the weather is now more normal for the season, the sales person said ‘no, absolutely not.’ Then the technician who arrived explained that although he could see a hole that probably was the wasps nest he isn’t allowed to treat it unless he can see wasps going in and out with his own eyes. If I’d known this was the case I wouldn’t have asked them come out, knowing that there is a £120 ‘survey fee’ just to come out and take a look. The technician then had to take a payment from me there and then in my front room, despite me expressing that I wasn’t happy with the situation. Horrible, awkward, unprofessional- wouldn’t deal with this company again.

Very good service for a very nasty job. Would be very happy to recommend them to friends and colleagues.

I recently suffered from bed bugs following a trip abroad. I have to say that i was mortified but after having a heat treatment with bed bugs gone i am now bed bug free. The sales team great and the technician Robin was friendly and reassuring. Definatly money well spent.

I booked with Bed Bugs Gone for a full bed bug heat treatment after previously using another company who's treatment did not work. I suffered with bed bugs for months and had tried numerous treatments but still had these critters running around my house! I'm so glad I opted for this particular treatment which uses heat rather than chemicals. Anyone who has had bed bugs will know what a nasty experience it is! Now my home is infestation free and my kids have not had any bites. Many thanks to the team at Bed Bugs Gone also who handled my awful situation with professionalism and care :)

Been dealing with bed bug for over 5 months. Think i got them from a hotel. Had the heat treatment and it was fanatastic, haven had a bite or seen one and so happy, i can sleep well. Highly recommend.
