100% scammed while paying for parking

Like many of the other reviewers on here, I was scammed while trying to pay for parking via Ringgo. Something about ebooks briefly flashed up during the process and apparently I authorised a £1.00 payment to them which I assumed was part of the Ringgo process. I didn't think anything about it until 3 days later when a £39.99 payment appeared alongside the £1.00 payment on my banking app to beboks.com. I contacted by bank and they have cancelled my debit card and will begin proceedings to refund the £39.99 but they can't do the £1.00 as that was authorised. How can they be getting away with such a blatant widespread scam?

Same as others in this thread

Same as others in this thread. Transferred whilst trying to register for parking (whilst stressed and late) and authorised £1 to, I thought, the car park for registration. Wrote off the pound but then charged £39.99. Cancelled subscription (if that link works of course) and credit card cancelled. Will get the £39.99 back but not the pound because I authorised it (!).

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. Tried to download an App for RAWcharging an EV charging APP as they had recently installed new EV chargers locally. Sought APP on Google PlayStore and thought what PlayStore came up with was genuine. Paid £1 to create account with what i thought was RAWcharging. APP never downloaded. Credit card debited £1 by bebooks.space. Notified bank, £1 debit cancelled. Next month account £31.99 debited by bebooks.space. Contacted bank again, payment cancelled and bebooks.space to be notified to their Fraud Dept. Do not touch bebooks.space. Notify credit company if a payment to bebooks.space appears on your statement.

SCAM

I went to pay for parking in Hawes using the website link written on the parking metre. It originally took me to what I believed was the correct website, and I stupidly submitted all of my banking details as they asked for a holding of £1 to see if I had money in the account to pay for the parking.

I noticed immediately on Monzo so I reported it and my card was frozen.

While waiting for a new bank card, two days later they attempted to take payment of £39.99. Luckily Monzo knew this was fraudulent so it was never taken out of my account.
