SALT is a Christian dating app that attempts to make Christian dating easier by offering more free services, such as matching, chatting, and even video calling. It also allows people to match specifically on shared values and interests, something other dating apps in our space doesn’t allow. Besides being just a dating app, SALT also hosts a thriving community in our Social network, as well as interesting talks and discussions on our Table audio event platform. We have a blog, a growing YouTube channel, and host in-person events in the UK and the US. We have a lot to offer, and it’s free to use! SALT connects single Christians worldwide through standard Tinder-style matching and community features such as our Social network, live Table audio events, and our SALT & Life blog. Check us out at https://www.be-salt.com and our SALT + Life blog at https://www.be-salt.com/blog today.

SALT is a terrible dating app. I paid for premium as I had hope I would get to see more match suggestions.
As a premium subscriber you dont get any additional match suggestions. In addition, I must have sent out 50/60 messages and not a single reply possibly because unless the person recieving the message is not on premium to be able to see my message. I have recieved likes and mailed a few of them and still not one single message have I recieved. It appears the site is only focused on pushing premium subscriptions (which are expensive to comparison apps).
Moreover, they hit your account for payment before the due date. I have now cancelled my subscription and I would not advise anyone to use it. It does not provide the service the marketing claims.
My experience with SALT has been great. As a woman I'd recommend it because there aren't any catfishes because you have to be verified before you join. It's a great app to meet fellow Christians whether to date or court

I paid for premium because I wanted to see more people, and yet they still only give you a limited amount per day 🤦♀️ The app is great, there are real people and it's very easy to use, that would only be my complaint

I wanted to give this app a fair chance as a Christian woman new to online dating. I paid for premium specifically to send “Intros” (direct messages without matching first). Here’s what actually happened:
THE PROBLEM:
Free users can only view ONE Intro per day. This means when you pay for premium and send your multiple Intros, recipients may not see your messages for DAYS or WEEKS because they’re stuck in a queue. You’re essentially paying to send messages into a void.
SUSPICIOUS PATTERN:
Before subscribing: Received 70+ likes and lots of activity
After subscribing: Immediately upon subscribing premium it was clear to me that I hadn’t received that many likes - this is deceptive, and I’ve had ZERO responses to any messages I sent.
This is the classic bait-and-switch. They show you interest to get you to pay, then the engagement mysteriously disappears.
THE FUNDAMENTAL FLAW:
Premium users message free users who can’t properly see or respond to those messages. The app profits from this imbalance - if premium worked properly, people would find matches and leave. Instead, we pay to experience frustration.
WHAT I EXPECTED:
Messages would be delivered and visible to recipients. Premium would give me better chances of connection.
WHAT I GOT:
Silence. Wasted money. The realisation that Christian dating apps use the same predatory tactics as secular ones, just with Bible verses in the marketing.
TO SALT’S CREDIT:
The app interface is nice, the community features are thoughtful, and I believe the founders had good intentions. But the business model is fundamentally broken.
MY ADVICE:
∙Only use the free version if you try this app at all
∙Don’t pay for premium - you’re funding a system designed to keep you single
∙Lower your expectations significantly
∙Consider real-world Christian singles groups instead
I’m disappointed. Save your money and your hope for something more genuine.
Great modern app. Probably best on the market for Christian dating.
I have been a premium paying user for a long time… So far this app has not been fruitful and is riddled with platform issues, bugs and problems that are not rectified by the developers.
At present, only one Table Talk is showing on my list, despite my account being active and paid.
This is now the third issue I’ve experienced as a paying customer:
1. I was unable to access Table Talks for several weeks. I contacted Salt at the time but did not receive a response.
2. App notifications stopped working, despite all notification settings remaining enabled and unchanged.
3. I am now unable to view the full range of Table Talks again.
This pattern of repeated access and functionality issues is frustrating and not what I expect from a premium service. I’ve spent time troubleshooting on my end, and these problems persist.
I may not have had much luck on the app itself. It’s relatively new in my city. But I wanted to leave a review to say thank you to Olivia who helped resolve a billing issue swiftly and efficiently. It was excellent customer service!
I have been to two SALT weddings and continually meet people who have married or are dating someone from SALT. It most definitely works and they've got a great YouTube channel with really encouraging videos to help on our singleness/dating journey. The SALT Team is incredible to speak with, so yeah, I would highly recommend for your dating needs.
Great app. Genuine Christian ethos behind the company and I now keep meeting people who met on SALT and then got married.

Salt is a Christian dating app that is actually Christian! Love how many genuine singles are on the app who desire above all else to honor God in their journey to finding love. Many awesome features, including table talks, which are livestreams with other users around the globe. Highly Recommend!

I've been on Salt for over five years and truly appreciate the community that the team has built. It's a fantastic online space for Christian singles.
My experience on Salt goes beyond just dating; it’s been transformative. Hosting weekly online table talk events where singles come together to share, encourage, and lift each other up has significantly impacted my life.
Compared to other dating sites I've tried, I feel much safer here, and I highly recommend it. I've met and witnessed several couples who found their spouses through this platform. My advice is to keep God at the center of everything, and you will see Him surprise you.

As a woman, online dating can be scary but i feel much safer on SALT. The profiles seem verified and genuine and I haven't dealt with any of the creepiness you get on mainstream apps
People are generally respectful and kind 🙂

I've really enjoyed the community on Table, it's such an uplifting environment and I've made genuine friends which isn't why I originally joined a dating app!

Over 90%% of profiles are either fake or outdated. Once in a while you will get a match and/or a reply which is AI generated!
I was earnestly seeking for someone who was a Christian. I searched and searched for an app that would provide me with this opportunity. "Salt" app came up highly recommended and it advertised "free".
What a joke! I ended up buying the "Premium " only to find they "Salt" asked for more significantly high fees to just communicate.
I consider this a fraudulent company.!
Buyer beware
Here’s a run down of my personal experience after getting a subscription on salt Christian dating site / app
I believe
The whole site seems stale at the moment with no one messaging back and people liking then not talking and from others I’ve been speaking to it seems this site isn’t fully free and after few hours it’s asking members to sign up for memberships to continue to message Because there’s no reason why you even have to like someone when you can message for free which is obviously not the case
If you do glial search the amount of people they actually have on the site is worrying and isn’t being told before people sign up to pay for the site
The features of app are clearly lacking specially search fields
It’s clear 90% of profiles aren’t verified
and people have signed up and just left there account to go ghost
What no one tells you is if the app isn’t on a Christian women phone often they won’t ever get a notification and people inboxes are flooded these days with rubbish
The design and layout looks good but it’s creeping into CDFF territory and then the site will be over if it goes that way
It needs marketing and new team with almost a full scrub and start again and manually verify people there will always be odd not genuine person but some of pictures on the salt social are clearly not of genuine or even real people
It’s clear messages are being blanked out and people being asked to pay to continue to message back as there’s no reason to like a profile over sending a message if messages were free you’d just message instead it’s natural response
Something is off with this site it’s not free like they claim it is and I can only conclude that there asking people to pay to message because lack of members and bots are liking profiles with odd real person like so not genuine from a supposedly Christian Salt Dating App
Genuinely you don’t need staff this site has probably got as well but not giving them free advice
Some of the pricing for extras in Salt dating app are crazy £19.99 for highlighted profile no wonder they have limited people using the Salt Dating App
It’s sceptical if some of profiles are even real why wouldn’t they keep you as a match without responding to messages it’s a real disaster this salt Christian dating app
I sadly feel this site has now got a bad rep with Christians so basically not using it or signing up
I had hoped this site was different it seems it’s not with even less members even big sites are voicing behind closed doors numbers down I wonder why possibly because of superficial nonsense going
on by women and I am a women but don’t act like some women I’ve seen from my brothers accounts show me women are behaving awfully but this is meant to be a Christian site it seems geared towards £
For those that don’t know ghost profiles can be many things but usually a site will use a bot to like profiles when you are not using the site for lengthy time and then it annoys men when it’s liking profiles or they claim there site is free when in fact it’s blurring messages and asking for subscription to keep messaging Christian men but it can be a profile that’s not being used as well and profiles currently on the site aren’t being used or deleted for huge lengths of time and salt then isn’t being responsible and deleting them probably because the member count if you do a search is appalling low
There’s no reason to ghost anyone you’ve never spoken to other than app has now come across as costly so genuine Christian’s aren’t using it or as many are saying they haven’t got money for membership so messages being sent to members aren’t being read or responded to and if your a women like myself be kind and just reply don’t ghost people and say no thank you if that’s the case
Ghosting has become a theme on salt and I will report anyone that does it as well as there’s no reason for doing it specially when never met and having nice conversation “just say not for me and unmatch be polite and kind it’s more worrying as this is suppose to be a Christian dating site with Christians on the site”
There’s no point keeping someone as a match if you aren’t going to bother messaging back be honest, kind and respectful and say no thank you then unmatch
It’s rather clear what’s going on it’s likely a free trial to message and try site then some are paying for like a week as it costs less then messaging back stops from odd people still using the salt Christian dating app and those that don’t pay it’s blurring messages out asking you to buy a subscription ( again no honesty on subscription pages )
I’ve looked at my friends salt account now as well and my suspicions were confirmed very unethical for Christian site I’m in tech so I know how salt and others operate as well
Thanks
