I have only tried email support so far, so my review is only on that.
I just got this product a few days ago, as I wanted to compare how it works vs competitor Trezor.
What I have figured out so far is that BC Vault is much more powerful than the Trezor, however this extra power comes at a price - it is not as intuitive to use.
I have been a user of crypto for many years, but I have never spent too much time learning the technical details of how the networks function.
In my case I sent USDT as a test from my Trezor to BC Vault. From my uneducated perspective it appeared that my USDT did not arrive. Naturally I contacted BC Vault technical support. Regarding support, I can say that they were very responsive, getting back to me within hours (not days). They were extremely knowledgeable, and were able to point me to well written documentation with pictures that not only helped me solve my problems, but also understand the underlying technology so I now know why it didn’t appear to work for me.
For example I was sending USDT from and to an ERC-20 wallet. I did previously understand that these were tokens connected to an ETH wallet. However, what I didn’t understand before was that for the tokens to appear under your ETH wallet, the appropriate contract address for the token needed to be added. As soon as I performed this action, the tokens that I thought went missing immediately appeared.
I didn’t know this before as I suppose Trezor did all of this for me automatically. I am grateful now for a better understanding of how these tokens and blockchains interact, however I would suggest a little more guidance in the software would be useful.
What I really like is that now I can clearly see my USDT balance in the interface in BC Vault, which I can in Trezor as well, it is just that it is more like a footnote in Trezor, not its own wallet.
Anyway, I can see that there is still much more for me to learn, but what I can say for now is that BC Vault is a more sophisticated and capable product, so for me that is good as I prefer more powerful even if I have to spend effort to learn about its features. What really has won me over though is the response time and obvious technical knowledge of the support team. These guys are definitely not mindless call center guys pushing out useless AI bot type answers.

Faulty item received then my messages to BC vault support portal have been ignored when asked for a refund.
I bought a wallet, hoping to give it a fair chance, but after initialising my device, the display screen completely died- broken.
Contacting the support portal they replied the next day promising to ‘solve this ASAP’. It’s been 9 days I’ve reported this to them. I’m asking for a refund and DHL pickup, my messages have been ignored for the last 5 days.
Huge disappointment for this company- seems inexperienced and extremely untrustworthy when issues arise.

When I went to download the app per the "getting started" instructions, the bc-vault web site secure certificate had expired. After waiting for that to be fixed, I downloaded the app and ran it, only to have the app not be able to discover my device, which was properly plugged into the USB port. Still awaiting a response regarding that issue. One delay after another getting to use this product.

I use a Linux system for security and privacy. When I downloaded the BC-Vault app, I didn't recognize the file type. With a little searching, I found out it is a generally disliked format called tarball. Consensus was that its overly complicated for regular users, and can mess up your system. Why would you not use .deb format, or flatpack? I haven't used my bc-vault because I can't install the software.
Response: Absolutely, 1 Star. If I can't install the software, the hardware wallet is a chunk of aluminum. I spent an hour trying to install the .tar file, without success. If its so popular, why do no other hardware wallet manufacturers use it? If its so great, how about posting instructions? Customer service?

My experience with BC Vault has been great.
It got off to a bit of a rocky start when, after receiving it in the mail, I opened the box to discover that the device had a loud rattling noise. I took a video and contacted their support team who were very responsive and courteous. Within a week, they had sent me a replacement and even scheduled to have the old one picked up!
Set up was super simple and so was moving all of the BC Vault supported tokens into the wallets. I had been keeping them on exchanges for over a year and now I no longer have to worry about any of my assets if one of the exchanges gets hacked or goes bankrupt.
You can even stake Cardano directly from the device! Hopefully they add some direct staking for other projects as well.
Super happy with my purchase!

" I have for my friends and others purchased in access of 24 BC Vaults over the years, as we have been more than satisfied with its features, ease of use and security.
One of my BCV friends made a mistake by by sending funds to the "BCV Bounty Wallet".
You can imagine as her heart dropped when I told her she had given the incorrect receive address ("Bounty wallet") and not her specific wallet address.
I reached out to BCV immediately to inform them of this mistake, and their customer service was right on it. They required ALL the details of the transaction, which you would expect, and then after a week or so, they redirected the funds to the correct address.
I rate BC Vault the product and service an 11.5 out of 10.
When so many companies have no idea of what service looks like, BC Vault leads the way.
Both myself and my friend say thank BC Vault and their amazing"customer service".

Support Team advised re-adding the ERC-20 tokens and they magically re-appeared.
Without their competence and professionalism, the tokens would have been lost.

I have had a great experience with this company. I bought a device over two years ago. It got some technical problems and the screen went dark. After my initial contact with the support services, BC Vault, replaced my device without extra charges, I only paid for shipping and handling! I had to raise a ticket for some service I didn't think would even be entertained by BCVault given the issues was from a purchase outside of warranty. Now the service was excellent. The guys responded promptly. Good educated responses with trouble shooting prompts. I was happy at that stage and didn't expect the crew to go further and give me more support ! Cant thank the team enough its a very competitive product and marketplace. The BCVault team hit it out of the park and Im back on track.

I had a failure of one of your products which happens. I had a lot of support with someone getting problem solved and new device ordered. I ordered on 11/24/23 and is still not arrived- stuck in customs. I realize this is out of your control, but works needs to be done to faciltate that part of the process. It is currently 12/8/23-no device, and no communication from your company despite requests for help.

I have ordered my package over 3 weeks ago and still have not received my BC Vault. DHL states package is in customs and there is one item they are waiting on to be able to pass customs. Currently i am in a holding pattern.
***BC Vault replied through Trust pilot and said they can’t do anything about customs. In order to be satisfied it would be nice if company reached out to me through official channels and looked into the matter of why customs is waiting another piece in order to start processing the package. Still in a holding pattern…I would love to change my rating but BC Vault has yet to respond to my emails and I find it difficult to get ahold of anyone at BC Vault.
Update-2- BC Vault-please provide email address that can be use to communicate with you directly as opposed to communicating through trust pilot review site. I have received zero response at info@bc-vault
DHL verified over the phone that paperwork was filled out incorrectly on BC Vault side and Customs is expecting 2 packages even as this is just one item. This item will never arrive if they are expecting two items. Please correct this on your end and please send me a reply email to contact you.
Update 3- BC Vault created ticket/DHL stated customs paperwork filled out incorrectly/still no package or customer service to be seen on BC Vault end to get me the product that should have taken 1 week to deliver it no has been over three weeks since product ordered.
Update 4-Still no package- DHL representative says customs paperwork incorrectly filled out and customs waiting on 2nd piece. BC Vault says DHL confirmed just waiting on customs. Bottom line I don’t have my shipment 4 weeks later. I will be contacting my credit card company soon and canceling payment if not resolved in next two days. Company just isn’t valuing customer in this situation in light of the evidence.

Once a day updates does not provide appropriate depth since you have to wait a full day to get a response which leads to a thread that lasts for days in order to get full clarity. **Please consider getting a customer service phone line BC Vault***
